At night!

The San Diego Zoo has a Skyride, Disneyland used to have one, and SeaWorld has their own version. This is a fun "foot resting" ride that gives you a lazy ride over Mission Bay's Perez Cove. The Bayside Skyride is a there-and-back trip with no option to exit the gondola when it lands at the West station. They'll take advantage of this entrapment by taking your picture as you make your journey back, unfortunately. Best of all, it's FREE!! Tip - Try taking the ride at night ( not always offered ) for a different experience.

The Sea World Bayside Skyride is a gondola ride tucked away in the Northwest corner of the park (behind the Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation attraction) that travels over Mission Bay for an approximate 6-minute round-trip ride. The ride drifts over the calm and peaceful Mission Bay on two 80 foot towers bringing you to the other side then whirling you around to travel back over Mission Bay to the park. You may want to wear a jacket because it can get pretty chilly during the Fall and Winter season. Our only frustration was that the line quickly grew immensely long in a short amount of time due to the fact that many of the gondolas were empty and seemingly out of service. The ride itself still gets a high rating for the breathtaking views of the open ocean and horizon alone. Hopefully the next time they will be completely up and running, which would move the line along much more efficiently.

Very nice escape ride. This is your typical cable sky ride this one goes over the bay near SeaWorld so when you need a break for the park this one ride you can go on to escape the crowds and going on's in the park. The difference on this one is you don't get off on the other end you actually do a round trip so when you get to the other end they whip you around and you go back to where you started. Overall a very relaxing ride and you get see the beautiful bayside.

- Locale Destination - It's in Sea World, San Diego. It's located Northwest side of the park, next to the theater of "Madagascar Live!". It's kinda tucked away, yet you should check it out! It's blue gondola, so hard to miss. Length: 6 minutes Maximum capacity: 3 adults and 1 child (but depending on your size, too ;p) Restriction: Children under 56" in height must be accompanied by a supervising companion 14 years or older. Wait time: It could be long, but you should try - Gluttony Expedition - It's pretty cool gondola ride to enjoy the views of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean. You can even oversee the backside of Sea World stadium. It doesn't swing, so it's not scary. It moves fairly quickly for 6 minute round trip. I'm afraid of height and hate an elevator (hate the feeling when it goes down ;(), but I did enjoy it. It's better than the one at Disneyland used to have long time ago... - Conqueror's Deduction - Ride like this makes me think "Sea World is cool and full of fun stuff". The ride is tucked away and could be under rated, but it's very enjoyable. You should try this!

50 years old and running strong. Best ride in the park by far. Built by Von Roll Berne Switzerland . Ride opened on June 23 1967 and has been running safely ever since.. Ride is one of 11 Von Roll VR 101 Skyrides left in the USA. A must do at Sea World San Diego.

My 5 yr old begged to go on it a second time- he loved the views and I loved the peaceful ride just as much as he did.

I went in the giant dipper for the first time today!…read more The dark tunnel spooked me cuz I didn't know what was coming lol! I loved the first drop it was really smooth it was only the last few drops that was really shaky! Honestly I had to hover above my seat so I wouldn't be tossed on my friend lol! I scrambled off, and went another 3 times! I really recommend to ride it IF you don't have back problems because I got sore after riding it 4 times

He shouted out the total for two wristbands and I let him know there was a different price online. He shouted out to purchase the wristbands online for that price. I walked away purchased the wristbands went back to pick up the physical wristbands. He scanned the barcode and put the wristbands on our wrist. And then with a smile said the list of rides that were closed. And then said " we are short staffed and due to that we do not have employees at the rides once they get here at 12:30 then you'll be able to get on the rides" I looked at my 10-year-old and said OK we'll go walk the beach and get a bite to eat until they open up. Guess what the staff never got there! Honestly, he thought it was funny when he told me that we weren't going to be able to get on rides until the other staff got there. There were a few rides like the mini dipper and the carousel. But who buys wristbands to get on a couple rides and then get on the bumper cart. If that's the case then I would've just bought individual tickets. LET YOUR GUEST KNOW AHEAD OF TIME IF YOU ARE SHORT STAFFED AND THE PARK WILL NOT BE RUNNING AS USUAL!! I had to keep looking for staff to let us on rides and then even then I wasn't able to get on every ride. I paid for a wrist band for myself and my daughter thinking that we were going to be able to enjoy the day but we were not. I do want to point out that I'm a single mom and low income and this was supposed to be something amazing for us. $100 to Belmont Park is absolutely nothing but for me it is. And just FYI, I a lot of people kept leaving the park upset. But for them, they didn't purchase wristbands. We waited till after 5 PM hoping that as the shift changed employees would come and open up all of the rides, but that never happened. I was hoping to get my money back for the wristband, but because the employee at the counter was so aggressive I was honestly afraid to go up and ask for a refund. I'm hoping Belmont Park will make this right and provide my daughter and I with an opportunity to return to Belmont Park at no charge to us and be able to get on the rides.

Phenomenal! I haven't been to Seaworld in 30 years. I was about 4 or 5 years old since my last…read morevisit, so of course I expected changes. When I went here long ago, Shamu was popular. He's been dead, but his memory is still alive here. New orcas, dolphins, sea otters etc. existed. My friend and I came here since his father owns a timeshare 5 minutes away from Seaworld and we both had vacation time. We were at the Marriott hotel in downtown San Diego where the parking structure was on the top floor, unusual for sure, but necessary in order to park there due to the poor surrounding environment. A lot of places nearby including the boat museum maritime. Seaworld, changed! In the most interesting and good way possible. New rides, more things to do. Last time I went to Seaworld there were only shows involving orcas swimming in a pool of water splashing guests as the highlight, it still is there as usual, which I loved by the way and was enjoyable to witness. Rides: 1. Emperor - 5/5 amazing 90 degree drop dive coaster, with ejector air time and intense g forces, my favorite ride due to having a fresh breeze of the ocean air at the top and a beautiful view of the park. 2. Electric Eel - 5/5 bizarre coaster with a launch and a positive g roll at the top. Not that intense unfortunately, fun and intimidating, but enjoyable to go on with a friend. I enjoyed it. 3. Atlantis - 5/5 intense hybrid water ride and coaster. Two drops, the water drop was meh, but the coaster drop after was taller and more intense g forces on the drop and swivel loop below. My personal favorite tier with emperor 4. Manta - 5/5 most intense coaster there, super fun, launch coaster with strong g forces throughout. Shockingly the most intense ride at the park with the intense factor of the launches and ejector air time and speed. 5. Arctic Rescue - 5/5 super cool ice ride, it's near the penguins in the back and has a bike you sit on that has great launches and strong positive g forces on the launch, not as good as manta, but super fun, went on it more than once and enjoyed it the most. Theming of the ocean from the start before the launch was cool. 6. Skytower/skyride - admission fee rides, very relaxing, $6 per person, the skyride was fun, you sit in a carriage and observe the scenery of the ocean with a slight breeze. The skytower is a tall swiveling cylindrical seated container that overlooks sea world. 7. Closed attractions - dolphin show was closed, looks promising but was not open during spring for whatever reason, roaring rapids ride was closed in spring reopens in summer, the sea otter show closed due to renovation. Food was very nice, I enjoyed it, I got a vegetarian salad wrap at the cafeteria near the orca show. They had pretzels, fried foods, pizza and sandwiches, burgers that looked and smelled good. I saw some people with turkey leg and they had other foods at the food court. My friend liked touching the small fishies that eat dead skin near the entrance. Place is good for older kids and young adults who have children. Not as family friendly as Disneyland and Legoland due to the intensity of the attractions, especially that emperor and manta. Those two rides are more intense than any of the rides at Disneyland, better off comparing those to magic mountain and knotts berry farm level of intense. Outside of the top 2 mentioned (manta and emperor) the other three were relatively good rides with strong intensity (electric eel, Atlantis and arctic rescue) that Atlantis ride was closed for like 6 hours which was annoying and the wait time was long too maybe 2 hours, so rode that ride last just before going home. We were there right when it opened and left before the place closed. I bought a dolphin souvenir t shirt at the shop and I love it. Overall a solid 5/5 for entertainment, ambiance and overall experience. It had great themes and a beautiful environment similar to universal studios but sea based. The orca show was nice, cute host for the show and the little kids sea lion show was relatively meh. I would come back again. I enjoyed it but it is so far Southern California. Unless you live in San Diego, this place is a treat.
