Get Electrified! I was lucky enough to try the ride a few days after its official opening. The line opening weekend was about 45 minutes but I expect that to double during the busy summer months. The ride is quite exhilarating as you'll launch twice to build up enough momentum to rocket you 150 feet to the top of the ride. Once up there you'll experience that wicked upside down twist that admididly was a little scary. The Electic Eel is a great addition to SeaWorld but I still think Manta wins on the fun factor.. Tip - if you're here on the weekend or during summer you might want to consider buying the one time "rich kid's" pass for $15 if the line is over an hour. You get to cut the line, and avoid the sun. Speaking of the sun, much of the line is uncovered, under direct sunlight. You may get sunburned without head/ neck protection. - Only one train can run the tracks at once, compared to Manta which will run three at a time during busy days (much faster line time). - The Electric Eel is similar to Montezuma's Revenge at Knott's berry farm as the ride zips through the station a few times. - If your children are new to roller coasters try Manta first. The Electric Eel is much more intense.

As you approach closer to San Diego County, you may have seen billboards of SeaWorld advertising "San Diego's Tallest and Fastest" roller coaster. I never thought SeaWorld would end up with a thrill ride like this one. The experience is exhilarating and suspenseful all packed into a relatively short ride. The Electric Eel launches you really fast forward, then going backwards, then forward again heading up vertical for sharp twist, turns and loops. When I first buckled up, I wanted to find something I could hold on to, but there's no front handle bar. The only thing I could do is snug my feet between the foot bars on the floor. You might as well raise your arms up for airtime. On a Saturday afternoon in June, the wait times was 45 minutes all day. So when I was in line for the ride, the posted time was pretty much on point. While in line you'll see some signs of factoids about Eels. The soundtrack playing throughout the wait sounds like something from a Marvel/DC superhero movie, which kind of adds suspense before the ride. This may sound corny, but it would be cool to add zapping noises within the music, maybe Electrified Techno? I'm just saying. Overall, fun ride, it's fast and it got my adrenaline going for a minute. It's not as hardcore and lengthy like one of Six Flags Magic Mountain's popular roller coasters. If you're a thrill seeker visiting, this newest addition in SeaWorld would be something to get you excited about.

Seriously, I used to put this ride in the same tier as rides like Rip Ride Rockit and Boomerang at Knott's.

I loved the first drop it was really smooth it was only the last few drops that was really shaky! Honestly I had to hover above my seat so I wouldn't be tossed on my friend lol! I scrambled off, and went another 3 times! I really recommend to ride it IF you don't have back problems because I got sore after riding it 4 times

He shouted out the total for two wristbands and I let him know there was a different price online. He shouted out to purchase the wristbands online for that price. I walked away purchased the wristbands went back to pick up the physical wristbands. He scanned the barcode and put the wristbands on our wrist. And then with a smile said the list of rides that were closed. And then said " we are short staffed and due to that we do not have employees at the rides once they get here at 12:30 then you'll be able to get on the rides" I looked at my 10-year-old and said OK we'll go walk the beach and get a bite to eat until they open up. Guess what the staff never got there! Honestly, he thought it was funny when he told me that we weren't going to be able to get on rides until the other staff got there. There were a few rides like the mini dipper and the carousel. But who buys wristbands to get on a couple rides and then get on the bumper cart. If that's the case then I would've just bought individual tickets. LET YOUR GUEST KNOW AHEAD OF TIME IF YOU ARE SHORT STAFFED AND THE PARK WILL NOT BE RUNNING AS USUAL!! I had to keep looking for staff to let us on rides and then even then I wasn't able to get on every ride. I paid for a wrist band for myself and my daughter thinking that we were going to be able to enjoy the day but we were not. I do want to point out that I'm a single mom and low income and this was supposed to be something amazing for us. $100 to Belmont Park is absolutely nothing but for me it is. And just FYI, I a lot of people kept leaving the park upset. But for them, they didn't purchase wristbands. We waited till after 5 PM hoping that as the shift changed employees would come and open up all of the rides, but that never happened. I was hoping to get my money back for the wristband, but because the employee at the counter was so aggressive I was honestly afraid to go up and ask for a refund. I'm hoping Belmont Park will make this right and provide my daughter and I with an opportunity to return to Belmont Park at no charge to us and be able to get on the rides.

He's been dead, but his memory is still alive here. New orcas, dolphins, sea otters etc. existed. My friend and I came here since his father owns a timeshare 5 minutes away from Seaworld and we both had vacation time. We were at the Marriott hotel in downtown San Diego where the parking structure was on the top floor, unusual for sure, but necessary in order to park there due to the poor surrounding environment. A lot of places nearby including the boat museum maritime. Seaworld, changed! In the most interesting and good way possible. New rides, more things to do. Last time I went to Seaworld there were only shows involving orcas swimming in a pool of water splashing guests as the highlight, it still is there as usual, which I loved by the way and was enjoyable to witness. Rides: 1. Emperor - 5/5 amazing 90 degree drop dive coaster, with ejector air time and intense g forces, my favorite ride due to having a fresh breeze of the ocean air at the top and a beautiful view of the park. 2. Electric Eel - 5/5 bizarre coaster with a launch and a positive g roll at the top. Not that intense unfortunately, fun and intimidating, but enjoyable to go on with a friend. I enjoyed it. 3. Atlantis - 5/5 intense hybrid water ride and coaster. Two drops, the water drop was meh, but the coaster drop after was taller and more intense g forces on the drop and swivel loop below. My personal favorite tier with emperor 4. Manta - 5/5 most intense coaster there, super fun, launch coaster with strong g forces throughout. Shockingly the most intense ride at the park with the intense factor of the launches and ejector air time and speed. 5. Arctic Rescue - 5/5 super cool ice ride, it's near the penguins in the back and has a bike you sit on that has great launches and strong positive g forces on the launch, not as good as manta, but super fun, went on it more than once and enjoyed it the most. Theming of the ocean from the start before the launch was cool. 6. Skytower/skyride - admission fee rides, very relaxing, $6 per person, the skyride was fun, you sit in a carriage and observe the scenery of the ocean with a slight breeze. The skytower is a tall swiveling cylindrical seated container that overlooks sea world. 7. Closed attractions - dolphin show was closed, looks promising but was not open during spring for whatever reason, roaring rapids ride was closed in spring reopens in summer, the sea otter show closed due to renovation. Food was very nice, I enjoyed it, I got a vegetarian salad wrap at the cafeteria near the orca show. They had pretzels, fried foods, pizza and sandwiches, burgers that looked and smelled good. I saw some people with turkey leg and they had other foods at the food court. My friend liked touching the small fishies that eat dead skin near the entrance. Place is good for older kids and young adults who have children. Not as family friendly as Disneyland and Legoland due to the intensity of the attractions, especially that emperor and manta. Those two rides are more intense than any of the rides at Disneyland, better off comparing those to magic mountain and knotts berry farm level of intense. Outside of the top 2 mentioned (manta and emperor) the other three were relatively good rides with strong intensity (electric eel, Atlantis and arctic rescue) that Atlantis ride was closed for like 6 hours which was annoying and the wait time was long too maybe 2 hours, so rode that ride last just before going home. We were there right when it opened and left before the place closed. I bought a dolphin souvenir t shirt at the shop and I love it. Overall a solid 5/5 for entertainment, ambiance and overall experience. It had great themes and a beautiful environment similar to universal studios but sea based. The orca show was nice, cute host for the show and the little kids sea lion show was relatively meh. I would come back again. I enjoyed it but it is so far Southern California. Unless you live in San Diego, this place is a treat.
