Get shocked!!! What an insane ride! All the twist and turns. You are spinning while going vertical. Frontwards and then backwards. This ride is for this adrenaline rush goers and people who love the more challenging roller coasters. This isn't a Disneyland coaster lololol This is the big leagues. Definitely read/ pay attention to the warnings before going on this. If you have heart problems or back problems, I would not recommend it. Make sure you are up to it health wise before jumping on this ride.

Get Electrified! I was lucky enough to try the ride a few days after its official opening. The line opening weekend was about 45 minutes but I expect that to double during the busy summer months. The ride is quite exhilarating as you'll launch twice to build up enough momentum to rocket you 150 feet to the top of the ride. Once up there you'll experience that wicked upside down twist that admididly was a little scary. The Electic Eel is a great addition to SeaWorld but I still think Manta wins on the fun factor.. Tip - if you're here on the weekend or during summer you might want to consider buying the one time "rich kid's" pass for $15 if the line is over an hour. You get to cut the line, and avoid the sun. Speaking of the sun, much of the line is uncovered, under direct sunlight. You may get sunburned without head/ neck protection. - Only one train can run the tracks at once, compared to Manta which will run three at a time during busy days (much faster line time). - The Electric Eel is similar to Montezuma's Revenge at Knott's berry farm as the ride zips through the station a few times. - If your children are new to roller coasters try Manta first. The Electric Eel is much more intense.

As you approach closer to San Diego County, you may have seen billboards of SeaWorld advertising "San Diego's Tallest and Fastest" roller coaster. I never thought SeaWorld would end up with a thrill ride like this one. The experience is exhilarating and suspenseful all packed into a relatively short ride. The Electric Eel launches you really fast forward, then going backwards, then forward again heading up vertical for sharp twist, turns and loops. When I first buckled up, I wanted to find something I could hold on to, but there's no front handle bar. The only thing I could do is snug my feet between the foot bars on the floor. You might as well raise your arms up for airtime. On a Saturday afternoon in June, the wait times was 45 minutes all day. So when I was in line for the ride, the posted time was pretty much on point. While in line you'll see some signs of factoids about Eels. The soundtrack playing throughout the wait sounds like something from a Marvel/DC superhero movie, which kind of adds suspense before the ride. This may sound corny, but it would be cool to add zapping noises within the music, maybe Electrified Techno? I'm just saying. Overall, fun ride, it's fast and it got my adrenaline going for a minute. It's not as hardcore and lengthy like one of Six Flags Magic Mountain's popular roller coasters. If you're a thrill seeker visiting, this newest addition in SeaWorld would be something to get you excited about.

This ride was 28 secs long but thrilling. Line wait was 65min and the loops and turns were a hit with our kids.

Seriously, I used to put this ride in the same tier as rides like Rip Ride Rockit and Boomerang at Knott's.

A cute little family-friendly place next to a beautiful beach!…read more After walking around the beach for a while, we decided to walk around Belmont Park to see what it was all about. It was a summer Thursday and the place was packed with kids and their parents, all having a blast. There was a zip line, bumper cars, an arcade, a giant pirate-themed play place - heaven on earth to rambunctious little people! The whole place was cutesy - beach themed photo ops everywhere. They also had plenty of "fair food" for those looking for a junky snack. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough shaded areas to sit in and enjoy a meal. Additionally, they didn't really have any vegetarian food options. We were starving (our main reason for checking out this place) and found cheese pizza slices as the only vegetarian friendly option. Seemed quite odd considering how popular vegetarianism has become, especially in places like California.. If you have kids or are just looking to let your own inner-child run wild, this place is worth checking out!

Over the past decade arcades, bumper cars, put-put golf and kiddie rides have been added to the beachfront experience as well as a handful of food options. Be prepared to spend some serious money when visiting though, this place is not cheap. Tickets are needed to ride each ride and can be purchased at a stand on either end of the park (under the roller coaster and next to put-put golf). The kiddie rides start around $5/participant and increase from there. Bring your patience, parking is a beast any day or time of the year!

First off, if you purchase tickets online, they can be nearly half the price of buying them at the counter. However, the customer service kiosk will not honor the online price, you have to purchase them online yourself. I honestly don't understand why it works this way other than hoping some customers won't realize the difference. The park also seemed extremely understaffed. Most rides appeared to have only two employees working, which caused even short lines to move painfully slow. We waited about an hour for Arctic Rescue, only for the ride to shut down due to technical difficulties. The app was another frustration. The posted wait times were nowhere close to reality, with actual waits sometimes being several times longer than what the app indicated. Food was mediocre, and once again, staffing seemed to be a major issue. Lines were very long, and even the soda machine wasn't working. Honestly, I felt bad for the employees. You could clearly see that many of them were frustrated and overwhelmed, and it didn't seem like they had the staff or resources they needed to provide a good experience. Overall, SeaWorld San Diego gave me the impression that the park is struggling financially and has been on a significant decline. It was disappointing, especially knowing how much I enjoy SeaWorld Orlando. On the bright side, the killer whale and dolphin shows were excellent and definitely the highlight of our visit.
