We went here because it was close, but we'll never go back. I was going to get a gel pedicure, but switched to regular because of the service. I had to ask 5 times for her to cut my one toenail because she only cut one foot, and she fought me on it. Every time I asked her to fix it, she spoke to the person next to her in their language, which is incredibly rude. I get it, you don't like what I'm asking; tell me to my face. She also nicked my toe cuticle pretty badly, and kept going. Also with my eyebrows the wax was extremely hot. There are plenty of salons in the area, so I'll go somewhere else. So the black and white French tips with the star is what I first initially wanted. I was told that she (Kim) couldn't do it. So I said, Fine, I'll do something else. I decided to get gold chrome French tips. I asked her if she could thin out the tips a little bit, she said she couldn't do that. I asked her if she could bring up the sides a little more; she said she couldn't do that. definitely had a worse experience. This was my second time going here, my first experience with this place I was met with the same disappointment. I will definitely not be going back to this establishment. Absolutely horrible. I gave them a second chance after not a great experience the first time, bad choice on my part. The nails are filed all different shapes, the polish is lumpy and the person doing my nails didn't even bother to get all of the old polish off so you can now see bits of hot pink under the light purple. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here, or you'll end up like me and looking for a better place to redo them. read more

I went into this nail salon, just trying a new place. Everyone was nice, I got my nails/toes done it took forever tho. While I was getting my nails done (dip powder) the older guy kept using his finger nail to push my cuticles back, and he cut my finger. My finger started to bleed, he did not offer any first aid he did apologize a few times. I know accidents happen so I paid, I even gave a tip. The next day I woke up in pain to a redden, swollen finger. I went into the nail shop to show them my finger and to inform them I was going to the urgent care. I returned with my bill and diagnosis of an infection. The techs were rude, I gave them the report they told me the owner will contact me. 5 days later I still have not receive a call. If you go to this salon do not allow them to use anything but nail tools on your toes/fingers! read more

Will not go back, wanted a nice relaxing manicure, basically got just a color change, and he used a drill on my natural nails to remove my regular nail polish! after telling him that I can take it off with just soaking in acetone. He said drill was faster. He proceeded to square cut my nails and the split peeled, my nails are very hard normally. Then he used an acrylic file and left them rough with pieces of nail sticking out of the polish, now my nails are ruined. Only rubbed my arms for a second, cracked my knuckles, and then told me to go wash hands, that's it. Paid and then left, won't go back! Now I have to go back home to fix my nails! :( read more

What a terrible experience with Kim. Kim has mastered the "resting witch face". Kim is mean and snappy, she gets highly perturbed when errors in her work are pointed out. She was violently aggressive while giving me a pedicure. I had to literally ask her is she was having a bad day because of the look of distain she managed to maintain for my entire 2 hours there. I don't know about other patrons, but I go to the nail salon to be pampered. Instead I was assault and harassed throughout my pedicure about the bill. I elected to get the dip manicure, which is for some reason sticky and not smooth. I also got the deluxe pedicure, which Kim made uncomfortable as stated. Needed to get my nails done for a wedding I'm going to on Monday. Bayside is very affordable and decided to give it another chance. Got there early and had, what I believe was the owner/co owner doing my nails. She was much nicer, quicker, and more professional than Mr. Grunt n'Slap I had last time :D I got a full set of acrylics, shaped into ovals, as well as painted and they only charged me $25. She was super nice--before putting the polish on she asked me if I would like to pay so I don't smudge my nails--then helped me out the store AND helped open my car door! Gotta say, it really depends on who you get here for service and quality. It was a little cleaner this time, too. Very busy as well. Good for the price. read more

I went here after going several places that I didn't care for. I went in with an idea of what I wanted and Michelle did exactly that! When she did my pedicure, I almost fell asleep. The massage was great. The tech next to me had an extremely difficult and rude customer. She handled it perfectly and did whatever she could to appease her. I'm not sure anything would make her happy. I will definitely go back!!!!The only problem I did have was she asked if I wanted a deluxe pedicure. I said no. She asked if I wanted wax and I said no. They had a sign explaining that a deluxe was special cooling gel, hot stones, wax and hot towel. She did all of that except the wax. I was charged $25, the price of the deluxe. I didn't have a problem paying that because the leg massage was great!!! It was kinda deceitful but, was totally worth the $25. read more

Don't go their if you want anything non basic. I got seated with Michelle and she did the bare minimum, she was very lazy and sloppy with how she was doing everything. She seemed like she didn't even want to be doing anything. She didn't cut my nails or cuticles and kept ignoring what I asked for and where I asked her to do the design. I left with something completely different than what I wanted and I had to fix it myself!! WAS NOT WORTH $40 read more

I stopped using Bayside Nails almost a year ago. Maria was the steady manicurist for a while. Good job. Excellent designs. No complaint. Wonderful wax. No complaint. The complaint is with the owners who will make an appointment but would not let me book with Maria. They now take turns. I like my nails done by the same person every time. Do you tAke a chance when you get your hair styled with just anyone? I don't. It's for this reason, I no longer go to Bayside Nails. read more

I gave this place two chances to impress me and I should have quit at the first try. First time I was there for some reason when my refill was done, something in the process was not allowing the new nail color to fully dry they reapplied color and top coat like 5 times... this was exhausting! The staff instead of helping out through this seemed more annoyed at me, They made me change polish colors. After I got in my car all the nail polish got messed up after once again fail of fully drying. I did not want to go back in there. I was over it after almost 1.5 hours later. On my second visit, I figured let's give it another chance. While I was there I paid extra for the deluxe pedicure, which has the hot wax wrap applied to your feet. Only to notice that they don't discard what they use with you but use the same wax on the next customer. My acrylic refill was badly done, she didn't even want to fix a little bit of thick cuticle, she wanted to charge extra. I told her, really I need to leave with a piece of cuticle sticking out. I was not impressed by the refill, incredibly thick and not even and very rude service! The staff is not nice here, and instead of being a nice relaxing, pampering experience, you leave wondering why you even bothered coming here. I will never be back here. read more

I've been coming to this place for quite a while now. I never hesitate on what I spend and I always tip everyone very well. Today my daughter went with a friend while I was at work and when I get home I find out she was over charged, she was charged $58 for eyebrow waxing and her nails, she got the coffin style nails one color on 8 nails and glitter on the other two. $58?! I take my daughter back when I get home from work and they basically didn't want to hear my complaint and basically called my daughter a liar. I told them if it was a mistake I'll accept that but nope they kept telling me and my daughter it wasn't true!! The money is not the issue the issue here is that they took advantage of a teenager, she gave them a hundred dollar bill and I guess they thought she wouldn't have notice. This place is a joke and I will never go back to them. I'll take my hard earned money somewhere else. read more

The woman who did my nails was very sweet, however, their kindness is not worth the fungal infection I could've gotten due to their poor sanitization of tools. I watched them use a cuticle cutter & foot scrubber & "wash it off" in the SAME water my feet were soaking in and put it BACK in their bucket. The dull cuticle cutter was ripping off my cuticle instead of cutting it off. The woman owner is very sweet however I will not be back. read more

I went in for a pedicure today and it was my second time there. The first pedicure was great but today it was awful! The lady hurt me so bad when she was rubbing my legs, I will definitely have bruising. It hurt so bad I wanted to cry. I did tell her that it hurt but she just kept doing it. She was too busy talking to the other workers in the salon she didn't pay any attention to me. The pedicure was so rushed. She made me bleed on two toes because she was rough. The nail polish is so sloppy. I'm so upset that I just paid $70 for my daughter and I to have pedicures and it was a horrible experience. I will definitely not be going back! read more

I too had a male nail tech that grunted and pointed when he needed my attention. I asked for a basic pedi and should have inquired before-hand about the price....but didn't. The tech pointed to the sign on the wall that said Deluxe Pedicure and included special foot scrubs, cooling gel, paraffin wax, hot stone massage and hot towel for $25. I said no thanks, just a basic pedi please... Half way through I realized this must be what I was getting even though I said basic. He did not give me the paraffin wax. When I got to the counter, I was charged $20 so I guess the wax was the extra $5?! Ok.... The tubs are not cleaned between use with Clorox or any other cleaning agent. The tools were certainly not new (I just HOPE they were cleaned!!!!). Overall this is the cheapest pedi I've had in forever. I'd rather pay more an have a cleaner place! I was on vacation in the area so it's not like it'll be hard to avoid this place in the future! Next year I'll try someplace else! read more

I was burned with hot wax and developed a rash from whatever lotion they used on my face. It is horrible. I live in another state and will be filing a complaint with the State of Florida. My face looks like I have poison ivy. It is horrible and itches. I would never go back to this shop ever again. Gloria is amazing at hair. I've been to a lot of different people and while the salon isn't fancy, she really knows her stuff and has a genuine talent at hair. She came from another salon that closed and is worth the trip to Bayside! I've had great experiences with her and don't have the easiest of hair. She's just awesome. read more

I went one time and had a great experience went this time and i will never i mean never go back again the pedicures were well shit i had a full set done my cuticles and one side of my finger is torn because the guy who did mine got acrylic on my finger and i had to lift all the acrylic off because he tore my skin and hurt like hell to the lady cutting my daughters nails after i said i didnt want her nails cut just filed nicely to her not knowing how to draw a freaking pikachu on my daughters nails because she didnt know how well my daughter was wearing a shirt with him on it all we wanted was the face and she couldnt draw a freaking butterfly A BUTTERFLY!!!!!!!!
