Bayshore was suggested from our real estate agent for a quick settlement of a property. We had to move eight items in a couple of weeks, and we needed a mover, pronto! The real estate agent called them for us, and Bayshore got into contact with us immediately. Tim and Greg were our movers. They did a phenomenal quick job, and did not damage a piece of furniture. Everyone I dealt with at Bayshore by phone were very nice. They even had a person check to after the move for our feedback. The packing crew stole several of my things they were supposed to pack including my electronic equipment packing it in original boxes that I only found out months later were empty and filled with tissue paper. Absolutely the Worst I used the company to move from Pennsylvania to Connecticut. Per the manager's suggestion, I got two storage units. Items were labeled and numerous discussions had with the entire team on the plan and where things were to go. EVERYTHING has been piled into one unit minus approximately 10 items. My belongings are piled so high I cannot access anything. I am a 71 year old widow and have NO idea how get my items out. The boxes I have seen are crushed. Where do I start? They said we needed a large truck but on moving day, they came with a medium truck and a little Uhaul! When they arrived at our new house, they had transferred all the stuff from the Uhaul to another truck, so they weren't that same trucks they packed our stuff into. They damaged our wall and broke some parts of our exercise equipment when they delivered it to the 2nd floor but the driver claimed they never brought it up to the 2nd floor and that he would mail us one of the missing parts (that he supposedly found in his truck). They lost 12 boxes (hmm, could it've been when they moved our stuff to a different truck somewhere before delivery?), damaged multiple items, and now are low balling us on damages and basically denying all missing items. DO NOT USE BAYSHORE! DO NOT TRUST BILL HAYWOOD! I had the worst experience moving with Bayshore and dealing with Bill Haywood. I have moved across the country 4 times, and this was undoubtedly the worst and most stressful moving experience of my life. Below is my experience: My move was confirmed to pack on a Tuesday and move the following day. Even though Bayshore called me 3 times to confirm my move, I found myself waiting for 2 hours after the confirmed showtime on pack day. After calling, I could not get any help from their support; they had no idea what was going on. So, I sat in my apartment on my moving day with no update or solution. Finally, 6 hours later, they called me and said they would pack the following day. Knowing they would be unable to pack and move in a single day, I had to scramble to purchase & procure boxes and supplies to pack about half my apartment myself. Finally, after persisting 5 times with customer support, they confirmed a larger team the following day. My wife and I stayed up till 2am packing what we could, and the next day the packers and movers were barely able to finish on time (even with half the apartment already packed). A week later, when the invoice was sent, I called Bill for an explanation and breakdown of the costs. He was unable to speak to the contract, completely blew me off, and sent me an outdated contract that was incorrect. After calling him back, he proceeded to argue with me and still could not explain the invoice because again, he was looking at an outdated copy. Finally, 2 days later, someone else was able to send me the most up-to-date contract and invoice for the move. Quite frankly, Bill Haywood is a slimy used car salesman in my opinion. When my stuff arrived at my new destination, I had issues again. The driver was 1.5 hours late from his confirmed time. Then, he parked his massive 18-wheel truck on our narrow street and informed me the movers would show up in 15 minutes. They finally showed up 2.5 hours later. He never moved his truck and created problems on the street. Again, customer service was unhelpful delay after delay, and they could not provide me with any updates and solutions. Finally, the movers showed up and started 4 hours later than planned. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT book with Bill Haywood or Bayshore. read more

Two of the movers that moved my furniture were extremely arrogant in spite of the fact that I went of my way to run out and buy them lunch the day of the move and paid for it myself. They damaged a number of my items and the compensation provided by their insurance was completely inadequate and the claim took forever to get processed. I recommend using this firm at your own peril. There has to be better movers out there. I would never use this Company again. I HAVE NEVER BROKEN ANYTHING. . Bit, that's not even everything. let's start with them calling saying well it's actually going to be more then you expected. that was not before, but after things were on truck and they left. then office people called. Now, my husband said fine. I would not, but once they delivered ( mind you I put breakable/fragile all over the boxes. the damage to almost every box was disgusting!!! Bayshore did an amazing job of moving our daughter's furniture and things from our house in Spring, TX to her new apartment in Alexandria, VA. I called Bayshore while I was in NJ moving our son out of his dorm room in PA. I spoke with Bill. He helped me make all of the arrangements, and quoted me a price, just by seeing photos of items I had on my phone. Roy and Gene showed up at our house, loaded their truck, and got all of our daughter's belongings to VA, while texting and calling us with updates along the way. Mark Allgaier the Allied Bayshore salesman told us to Trust Allied they do things the right way...he lied! We bought good solid Amish handmade furniture and then Allied Destroyed Everything we own including our Home from stem to stern and did not even deliver all of our belongings, they called them "Missing" . Our "Moving Crew" of Monsters showed up at 1:30 p.m. not the 8AM we were scheduled to start. They showed up wearing sweats & shower shoes not the "UNIFORMED PROFESSIONAL MOVERS" we were promised. Some of them were even face timing with girlfriends while carrying our boxes with one hand. BE WARNED! Bayshore and ALLIED misled and cost me during my move at every phase of the process. Movers were supposed to arrive two days in advance to pack, then show up to pack. All of this was supposed to be planned in advance. When I finally got in touch with my move coordinator Anthony Couch (which was difficult to say the least), he could give me no information on scheduling. The movers ended up never showing up to pack a day in advance as they were supposed to, and did everything the day we were supposed to be packed up and moved out. What should have been a process that was done at 11am took until 5pm. On top of this, my car which was supposed to be moved wasn't picked up until a day and a half after the supposed pick up time, which, again, was never coordinated with me. On top of all this, the extra care package which was sold to by Bayshore and Allied, was supposed to cover damage. Low and behold, my 65" TV was broken during the move, and when I went to file the claim Charleen Turkette the claims manager is attempting to refute the claim since it involves electronics- EVEN THOUGH, ALLIED OWN WEBSITE lists a tv as an example of an item covered under this type of protection. All in all, I was screwed out of at least half of the services I paid for and now will be forced to used litigation to recoup the loses on my television. Use at your own risk. read more

I'm having a terrible experience with these movers. It started good, the packers and movers were nice. HOWEVER I am still missing items, and had damages to fragile frames, family pictures, furniture, and damages to the house (wall) from moving. When it came down to filling a claim, they said its past the 30 day deadline to claim damages (per PA law). According to their records, we missed the deadline by 3 days. 3 DAYS?!!! They already got paid, they don't care. Companies like this don't care about customers. My argument is that I still have items missing which they can't find (and its happened to them before), so how is shipping is complete? This company doesn't understand the end customer, they have received their money and are using statutes in their contract that release them from liability. I am still going back and forth with them, I just want my stuff replaced and damages resolved, but they refuse to do anything about it. I URGE and WARN customers to please see through this friendly facade and read every fine print and don't take the risk with a company like this. It's not worth the stress and aggravation it has put upon my family. read more

I am really baffled by the negative reviews. All I can figure is that it must be a geographic thing: which local office is used. We used Allied/Bayshore out of Delaware and could not have asked for better service from start to finish. We received emails at every step of the process. We did our packing and they arrived on time to load the van. The crew of three was great. They were careful, professional, personable and knew what they were doing. Everything was wrapped in movers blankets and /or shrink wrap. Upon arrival, some things had extra layers of protection (cardboard for example and more plastic and tape) added before the van was loaded for the drive to us. Our things were in storage for just over 2 months and arrived in perfect condition. We had one large painting crated (they built the crate ) and they did a great job on both ends. The delivery crew was also exceptional and very professional. They had to unload in the rain and we were the only ones complaining about the rain! They never even mentioned it. We seriously don't have one complaint. We had high expectations based upon the upfront 'pitch' and promises made and they far exceeded in every category. Finding a cross country mover is one of the most challenging parts of the moving experience. The reviews online are all horrible and you get bombarded with tales of missing furniture, theft, and accidents. I crossed my fingers and picked Bayshore/Allied for our cross country move from DC to CA. With the sole exception of them getting stuck in traffic trying to get to my downtown condo for the pick-up time, the process was super easy. They were professional, took great care in packing, and our driver was easy to get ahold of to schedule the drop off (into a storage unit). Nothing missing, nothing major broken. Price was reasonable and we were able to get it reimbursed from an employer (proper paperwork was provided by Bayshore). read more

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. They tell you one thing and do another. They don't communicate with you, they overcharge for awful service. They are more worries about getting more shipments booked then taking care of their current clients needs. My wife and I moved into our new home with our 5 month old son. We notified this company of our closing date well in advance, they had our belongings in storage and it doesn't look like we will get our belongings well after close. So my wife, 5 month old son and I have to live in a house with nothing because this company cares more about its pockets then their customers. 25K dollars later and a headache, the so called director of customer service calls me to give me multiple excuses as to why they suck. I will never use this company again and want to make sure people don't make the same mistake I did. Never was this communicated to me when we met with our salesperson, very deceptive practice. We moved from Philadelphia to Palm Springs in December and we could not be happier that we chose Bayshore to provide their expertise. Not only did they give us cartons, tape and wrapping paper they handled our belongings with great care. John, our driver is the best friend you could hope for. The delivery was a little late but that was due to snow conditions in the east and Midwest. Moving across country is difficult enough for seniors but Bayshore did all they could to help alleviate the stress. Every piece that needed it was taken apart and placed back intact to our satisfaction. Our furnishings were picked up by John and his crew in Lafayette Hill Pa. and he was the one to drive out and met us in La Quinta. His truck was an Allied Van Lines big orange trailer with 4 other loads to deal with but ours was the first to come off. Bayshore did a great job with our same day move. They came out to our house a couple of weeks before and took inventory of what we had to be moved and gave us the quote right on the spot. They called and checked in with us before the move to make sure we were prepared. The day of the move, three friendly and hard working men took great care with our belongings. They loaded all of our items from a 4 bedroom house carefully and with a smile on their face! They then turned around and unloaded the items into a second floor apartment. I know they had to have been exhausted but they laughed and smiled every step of the way and even offered advice on where to place the furniture! I used this company for a move from DE to FL. I had read so many horror stories about movers that I was nervous and expected the worst. After it was all over, my experience was actually the best! They were so friendly and helpful from my first experience when John Seibert came out to give me an estimate to the free boxes they offered and up to when the movers brought in the last box. Didn't miss anything, asked pertinent questions and worked steadily. Bill, our salesman, stopped by to check things out (as he did day of move!), but they had things well in hand. They were company packers & took pride in their work Next day, movers came as promised and also did a wonderful job on our 4 bedroom house. We'd lived there for 28 yrs so had a lot of stuff! Bayshore is an agent of Allied and used an Allied truck, as well as Bayshore movers, no contracted out people. The driver will be taking our stuff to Vegas and has a crew there that is supposed to be very reputable, also, but that we'll wait and see. All in all, move is going along better than expected! Hoping for the best in Las Vegas, but definitely so far, so good. I read all the VERY bad reviews on movers, but nothing to complain about, so far (all fingers crossed!) A few things to know about Bayshore of DE, an agent of Allied Van Lines. They have an internal policy where it is perfectly acceptable to split your household goods into multiple shipments if it won't fit on the same truck. They told me my shipment would be delivered on a certain date and never mentioned that they were leaving quite a bit of my items behind. The driver called me. I then left 6+ messages and sent email for multiple people at Bayshore. I couldn't get a call back until I had Allied Corporate intervene. They repacked boxes that I packed so more would fit on the truck. I packed the items the way I did for a reason. Now I have about $500 worth of drycleaning to do as my work clothes are wrinkled. I paid Bayshore to pack vases, glass, and pictures. They didn't pack the vases. Here is the quote from Jesse Mitchell "In reference to the vases, our local Driver in his professional opinion thought wrapping in the international wrap , plus marking them would had been the best method for these items to be moved. Thus why they were not packed." Hmmm.... Jesse must be referring to the professional packing with the most up to date methods that is mentioned on Allied's website. I personally reviewed the packing with the estimator and the packer. How can you possibly think wrapping a vase in paper is a good way to ship them across country? Both vases are broken. They also didn't pack one of the pictures. I don't know what else is broken. It hasn't arrived yet. When my shipment was being delivered, Matt Larmore and Jesse Mitchell were playing games. Matt was on the phone with me telling me how he wasn't going to be non-communicative. He wasn't going to "run from the problem". Every other sentence was that they wanted payment. The amount of the payment changed from 50% to 75% to 90%. They wanted to be paid based on the shipment weight being delivered however, the percentage changed throughout the day. Meanwhile, Jesse contacted the driver at least three times and told them to "take a break" which was a tactic to put pressure on me to pay for the move. I indicated to Allied corporate that I wanted an itemization of the bill on Thursday. On Friday, after telling me that I didn't need to deal with Bayshore any longer and Allied would be the intermediary, they replied saying I had to get the billing itemization from Allied. It was roughly 8:30am. They copied Bayshore. No reply until I emailed at approximately 4:30pm that it was time for a new approach and my working through this with them wasn't working. Bayshore wasn't responding. They hadn't responded since Tuesday even though I sent messages. I'd been requesting an inventory of what was at the warehouse for a week...nothing. So much for Matt Larmore not running from the issue. Shortly after 5pm, I got an itemization from Jesse Mitchell which of course was more of an invoice for the balance of the estimate. The saga isn't over....Beware of Bayshore of DE - Allied Van Lines. I still don't have all of my goods but Bayshore has told me repeatedly, they must be paid. They've received the bulk of the payment as they hold your items hostage and use unethical tactics to obtain payment. read more
