Bayou Crawfish Restaurant - Gater bites and Fireflies - Cajun/Creole Near Me - Many, Louisiana

Food is horrible!! I don't mind paying for good food! But having to to pay for bad food is terrible! Salad bar look like it had been sitting for hours! This was the worse place I've ever eaten in! Crawfish etouffee had 3 tails and tasted like it came from a box! Rice was very mushy! read more

Fantastic Cajun Restaurant, comfortable environment, genuinely Southern. Delicious well prepared foods. We have a wonderful time, every time. Wonderful people with hearts of Gold! We travel to get there, and it's always worth it! Love the entrées, followed by warm, tasty desserts. I'm telling you they're delicious and I'm not even a dessert person! But I sure am when I'm there! Loved the Oyster's and the Bead Pudding! Next time, I'll try the steak and pasta! You all go and have yourself a good ole time. read more

Staying in town to visit family, and in an area where there are woefully few places for dine-in (while also playing the game of figuring out which are actually open on any given day), this was literally the only option for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon that's not fast food drive-thru. The interior was casual and homey. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and brought out the softest, pillowy yeast rolls as she took our drink order. The menu wasn't locked into only serving seafood but had a great variety for everyone in my party, my sister particularly enjoyed her penne dish and my fish and shrimp platter was perfectly cooked and tasty. I did order the "Fireflies" just to see what they were about - cornmeal fried chunks of chicken breast tossed together with fried slices of jalapeño - and it was ok but I really liked the jalapeño slices more than the chicken. All in all we had a (thankfully) pleasant lunch and didn't have to resort to lame fast food. No doubt this is a busy little spot on Fridays and Saturdays read more

Good food and Good Friday night entertainment. Restaurant could use some updating; especially the bar area

It's awesome! Awesome food, awesome service! The crawfish is the best I've ever had (except the ones i cook myself!)

The food is really good here. I would rate it one of the top 2 or 3 places to eat in Many for a sit down restaurant experience. They had live jazz music when I went and it was really fun! The service felt like being served by family; really personable staff. I had the fried shrimp and crawfish. Will be coming back soon read more

Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere! You can't find better in this area. And the live jazz music is great on fridays!

This has been the worst experience I have had. To begin with when we arrive we are told to seat ourselves. Only to find absolutely no tables available, but luckily this nice couple allows us to sit with them. Around twenty minutes go by and we are not even so much as given a menu or acknowledged by the workers. As the couple leaves we are eventually asked what we'd wish to drink. Then only for a worker to start screaming at the top of her lungs at us saying that the table we were sitting at was not ours but a reserved table. Now we were not told ONCE this was a reserved table, and there was no implications for us to believe it was, and quite frankly if the person managing this table had been doing their job they would've prevented it beforehand. Then as we are getting screamed at, the other members sitting with me nicely offer to move as the worker continues to yell at us saying it won't due. We do however eventually move tables and as we get our order we weren't given a appetizer or silverware. Over all I have NEVER experienced such a awful and poorly runned establishment in my life and I hope nobody has to experience what I went through. read more

Not the best place in town to go to. The menu is mixed and quick to confuse the customers. Is it Cajun or is it a hamburger joint? The ambience is nice and the food smells good from the outside but something changes when the food comes out. read more

Party of 4 dined here last night. Walked in at 8:20 know the restaurant closed at 9:00. Our waitress could have been friendlier and more welcoming. The food was excellent! We started with gator bite. They came out freshly fried and tasty. Plenty for 4 people to share. Our entrees were crawfish cornbread, frog leg platter, shrimp and fish platter and bayou burger. All came out piping hot and tasted yummy. The portions were substantial. We all had leftovers. Restaurant was clean and had a Cajun feel. Prices were appropriate with the quality. Highly recommend! read more

Never again! Bayou crawfish with no crawfish!Service was the worst I have had in a very long time. Who serves a salad after the meal?? Ordered Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was very bland. So much for a Sunday adventure... waitress truly could have cared less. Kept saying the rolls were on the way. After watching the table next to us get three baskets she then said they were out. read more

The batter on the fries is super weird. Why are you battering French fries? The pasta came out lukewarm, at best. Flavor was good, but cold pasta...no thanks! Felt like the prices were high for the quality of food. There were roaches all over the floor and spider webs hanging from the windows. This place needs an update! read more

Overall, a good dining experience. Cajun music playing, bayou themed decor, this place has a Louisiana feel. If I had one issue, it was that the portion size for the price was a little small on some of the dishes we ordered. The Fire Flies appetizer was good, but for almost $9.00 I expected a little more than we got. The rolls were delicious and brought out quickly. We ordered the Bayou Chicken, appetizer Trio, kids burger with Mac and cheese, and Cajun Pasta. Everything was tasty and the service was great. We definitely enjoyed our meal and would eat here again. read more

Loved the atmosphere, very welcoming. Servers were very friendly and engaged, very accommodating. And the food was great! Loved the gumbo, and the gator bites were delicious. Highly recommend stopping by. read more

I called in order for my dinner after work and picked Broccoli and cheese soup and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. Both extremely disappointing. The broccoli cheese soup was so salty that it was in edible and I had to throw it away. And while sitting in a hotel room at 9 o'clock at night, that says a lot because there were no other food options readily available. The chicken on the Caesar salad was either grilled or fried to such a degree that it was dry and tough. The only highlight here what is the surprisingly light yeast rolls that they tucked in to my to go bag. They were sinfully not keto but light fluffy with a buttery almost honey glaze on top. read more

Crawfish good but cant call to order because 'mailbox full' too far to just drive up & take a chance

Great food and service Fast service love there sea food especially the boiled shrimp I highly recycle the restaurant one of the best selection of food In Many read more

We had boiled shrimp and crawfish. Both were seasoned perfectly. Shrimp were a little over boiled but not terribly so. Reason for three stars was the trip to men's room after eating and finding several dead cock roaches. Holy Heck ! Can't say we'll be back read more

We are new to the area and my wife and I found this place the first week we were here. Can't understand why this place only has 2-1/2 stars, we almost passed on trying it for the first time because of the rating. I'm so glad we took a chance and tried it. I'm giving it 5 stars hoping it will help their ratings. Food is excellent and service is always great. We love the old southern charm. read more

Lunch on a Tuesday. Excellent service. I had one grilled and one blackened fish fillet with side salad and green beans. Price was spot on. Seasoning was great!!! My friend had grilled shrimp with grilled cauliflower and broccoli. Wow, the seasoning on this was great as well. We were both very pleased!! read more

I wasn't impressed with my first visit but I'm always willing to give a second chance. My second visit was no better. With the exception of my 10 year old (he loved his fried catfish), no one at our table loved it. The crab cake appetizer wasn't edible. I can only describe it as spoiled seafood in a bed of terrible étouffée taste. The chicken on our plates were too thick and over cooked. The seasoning was heavy on salt. Mashed potatoes tasted like box instant potatoes. The two stars are for the service only, both times we had a very friendly and attentive server. read more

Visiting from California an Arizona and were looking for some good Cajun food and gator tail, this place was beyond good. Seasoning was right on point and bursting with flavor. The inside has a full bar along with table and booth seating. MaryMae was our waitress and she was wonderful and very helpful with trying to decide on what to order. We highly recommend this place!! read more

My daughter and I were in Many today enjoying the drive from Stonewall. We decided to grab something to eat and searched restaurants. So to Bayou Crawfish Restaurant we went. We order fried mushrooms and they were very good a bit salty but good. She order the crab cake w/ with Etouffee sauce and I ordered a bowl of crawfish etouffee over rice. My etouffee had 3 tiny crawfish tails and had absolutely no taste other than celery! My daughters food was no better! We left our food sitting. Never ask how was our food! If you can't do what's in the menu please, take it off the menu. 20$ for awful food. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My mother and I went here today as we were in town shopping. We started out with fried mushroom and they were delicious. I ordered the crab cakes covered with crawfish etouffee, my mom ordered the crawfish etouffee small bowl. We got our food and I took a bite and it was awful. Just full of celery, onions, bell peppers and green onions. My crab cakes were made with imitation crab, and I had 2 tiny tiny crawfish tails out of the whole thing which were extremely dark brown. My mothers etouffee had 3 tiny tiny crawfish tails in hers which were also extremely brown. I'm hoping the other food is good, however this was not. If you can't afford real crab meat, don't advertise crab cakes with IMITATION crab. Videos below. read more

Very disappointing! The food was mediocre. The gumbo had no seafood and when I sent it back they put some shrimp on top that was over cooked and mushy. No crawfish or crabmeat as it was advertised. We ordered 5 pounds of crawfish and it did have a nice flavor but served Luke warm and the drawn butter was cold and like a paste. The service was slow and I had to keep asking for simple things like napkins. Would not go back read more

First of all we were told how good it was by a family member. We went in with high expectations only to be let down by high price small portion food that was cold when served. We had a group of people and everyone that ordered the seafood pasta had cold food. The food was sent back but came back with the plate warm and the food still cold not even room temperature. Waitress was very nice and did her job very well. All in all I paid $100 for 3 people to eat cold food. We just took it home to heat it up in the microwave later. read more

I've only eaten here a handful of times and have had a horrible experience each time. My order is wrong every time and the food is junk. I ordered a salad and it was even messed up. It had some red liquid poured over the top that smelt like crab boil. I ordered cheese fries and the cheese was hard and the fries were cold. The prices are crazy high for the quality and amount of food received. read more

Menu says "fried fish", "grilled fish" etc. Asked the waiter if the fish and shrimp were imported or domestic. He stated emphatically that it was Louisiana catfish. It absolutely is imported swai fish. We would gladly pay more to not have garbage fish imported from Southeast Asia. We didn't say anything to him, and we tipped him well. We just do not have to return. read more

Y'all watch out when you pay with a card, they add a surcharge to your bill and don't tell you, my bill was quite a bit more than it was supposed to be and the girl at the register said it was a surcharge to use my credit card. Will never eat there again! read more

It took me 2 1/2 years before I would give it another try. I'm not sure if there were different cooks or what but I must say my boys and I really enjoyed our meal this time. So...Bayou Crawfish has reclaimed my patronage read more

Bayou Crawfish Restaurant - These sweet potato fries were so burnt you could smell them - Cajun/Creole Near Me - Many, Louisiana

A great place to go for lunch. I have had their meatloaf and chicken salad among other things. Everything that I have ordered has been good.

Rude service. Super slow staff. Food is nothing to brag about. Best advise pass this place up and either go to McDonald's or anywhere else. Over rated , over priced, not worth it. read more

So I've been to this restaurant once at 1400 hrs. Waitress stayed on top of checking our needs. The food was perfect in every delivery, taste and presentation. I'm only holding back the fifth star to seek for consistency. I do say, get over there and get to eating! read more

Been here several times and we love the food. You're not going to find better fried catfish anywhere.

Drove out of my way on a business trip to find out THEY CLOSED THE DAMN RESTAURANT AN HOUR EARLY. Absolute disappointment, followed by the bitchy desk women to talk shit over the phone. COMPLETE shit wouldn't even bother read more

This is one of the best seafood places around. We ate the Seafood Extravaganza the first time we came and it's 6lbs of boiled crawfish, 12 huge boiled Shrimp and 1/2 boiled Snow crab leg and it was the best we have ever eaten. This is the 2nd time we have ate here and had the Crab cake dinner and it was ok but not the greatest. Their tartar sauce is awesome. We will definitely be back. Signed Satisfied Customers read more

Great food in Many!! Just enjoyed the Crawfish cornbread. It was amazing my wife had the chopped steak with incredible mashed potatoes. The service was wonderful. We eat here every time we're in the area. Well done!! read more

I'm really surprised to read the negative reviews because my experiences here have been wonderful! As soon as you are seated, you are served a basket of warm yeast rolls. My husband and I have tried several entrees, and each has been yummy. The po'boys are served on delicious bread (they are dressed with tartar sauce while I prefer remoulade, but this doesn't take away from how good they are!). The Blazin' Chicken sandwich is amazing! The onion rings are perfectly battered and fried, and my husband loves the sweet potato fries. The servers are attentive and friendly, and the food comes quickly. All in all, a great place! read more

We went to Bayou Crawfish on June 21 for dinner, hoping for some good old Cajun cooking. What we got is below average food. I ordered the crawfish quesadillas and my husband ordered the gumbo and boiled shrimp. My quesadilllas tasted more like a piece of cardboard then crawfish filled tortillas. Dry, over cooked and mostly just a totrtilla. It's hard to mess these up as I have made these at home before. My husbands gumbo was okay but it was not the hearty gumbo filled with seafood that we are used to. I think the gumbo was not scratch made rather a dressed up Campbell's soup version I wanted to order a glass of red wine but the waitress said they keep their red wine in the fridge ?! The owner came by to clear our table, never once did she ask if we were happy with our meal. Her son was riding around on electric scooter in the restaurant while we ate. It's obvious the owner has no idea of how to run a successful business. If you want to waste your money on a subpar meal, eat here! read more
