Everything small, and way overpriced. I understand it's not crawfish season but charging 12.99 for pinky sized crawfish is insane. Don't get me started on the shrimp and crab... Delicious crawfish by the pound. It is exactly what you want - friendly staff, yummy crawfish, fried oyste and catfish. Really great food,the crawfish is unbelievably good. The average person they said has 3-5 pound of crawfish but that also includes the shell. Me and my mom only could eat 3 pounds and then we were good. Hush puppies are amazing and fried shrimp is great. There spices are on point. read more

This place has been boiling up the best crawfish all my life....and I'm 23. Anyway, I no longer live in Natchitoches, so my trips here are limited, but when I can get them, I'm never disappointed. I always get the boiled crawfish, spicy and delicious! With corn and potatoes. Honestly can't say that I've ever tried anything else here, but they do have other things on the menu...fish, shrimp, and some other stuff that I never pay attention too. The only downside is that crawfish have a season, and when they're out of season, I'm out of luck :( read more

Some other reviewer mentioned how pricey, but if you know crawfish, you know it IS sorta pricey depending on season. You also know the price raises on cooked and if you're buying in a eat-in establishment, just as any other food cost more in a restaurant. Yes, the name makes you think hole and it kinda reminds you of one-I think it was like an A&W back in the day. Now it's been enclosed and a giant crawfish on the roof. I had the blackened catfish platter with potato salad (very different-wish I would have gotten the slaw). Catfish platter, hubs complained the red snapper was "chewy". A ton of food on each platter. My husband and I are from out of state. We were so excited to try Louisiana crawfish. We went to the visitors center downtown to ask for a recommendation. The lady suggested Crawfish Hole. We ordered 6 lbs. of crawfish to share. The flavor was good... what little of it we were able to eat. They were over cooked and wouldn't peel. The meat was stuck in the shell. Out of the whole 6 lbs, we were able to get MAYBE 4 or 5 whole tails out. We threw most of it away in frustration because we were only getting little bits and pieces out. We are not the type of people to complain, but it was bad. When my husband mentioned it to one of the employees, his response was "I've never had that problem." So my husband ordered 20 shrimp so we wouldn't leave hungry. They were over cooked too. The shells were stuck to the shrimp and was also a struggle to peel. That was $80 down the drain. Worst experience, I ordered The special 1snow crab and 15 broil shimp ioen my tray and the snow crab was an big gumbo crab, so I stop the attendant and explained I was supposed to have a snow crab cluster and not a gumbo crab and she said they switched it and I explained that it the sign still saids snow crab cluster so she took the entire tray to the front open and sat it on the counter opened with my potatoes and corn and butter in front of consumers and when said something about that the owner and the cashier were very rude. read more
