This hotel was near perfect and I could see why it's Michelin rated…read more I don't usually stay in boutique hotels but when looking at the nearby major chains, they didn't look appealing. The room was clean and had a rustic modern feel. When the carpet is beige, you know they have to take care of it consistently. Everything had a plush feel. The shower had a rainfall showerhead and a handheld. There's a scent that emanates throughout the hotel and into your room. It's light and adds to the ambiance. It's also in the sheets and linen too. I guess that adds to one of the negatives I list later in that the HVAC seems to be centrally controlled. There was some very minor debris in the sink that may have been left from wiping of a dirty rag, but that was mostly it. Gym was nice and parking was plentiful and free. What I didn't like: - Mini fridge in the room had a lot of snacks and other drinks that I assume were for sale. I usually pack my own food, so those items took up some space in the fridge - I get cold easily, so I try to adjust the thermostat, but it's centrally controlled, which I've never seen... I'm assuming all of the rooms are regulated in this way... - Breakfast bar- had bare minimal which I really don't mind. I really wouldn't expect a place like this to serve you breakfast unless it was full service. Would definitely come back

Great hotel in downtown Beloit. It's been redone in a "speak easy" motif. Rooms are spacious and…read moreinclude a phonograph with a selection of vinyl LPs (that's 33 rpm records, for you youngsters). Room has a huge shower with a rainforest head. Also has a mini bar in the room. Only negative point is there was no refrigerator or microwave. Great restaurant located just off the lobby for a fine dining experience. Does not have full breakfast but does have grab and go muffins, fruit, coffee, etc. They also have a rooftop bar where one can sit inside or outside. Full bar with good bartenders. Menu is limited but still plenty to choose from. We had an order of mussels and a charcuterie tray. Both were very good. Our bartender was Colton and he took good care of us.

We stayed here for a few nights for a business trip. It was "ok." Hallways had a slight odor of…read morecigarette smoke. (We were on a non-smoking floor.) Rooms definitely needed some renovation. The bathrooms had some grout missing on the floors. Shower floor looked like it had a lot of wear on it. Corners cracked with some mold, (I think) in it. The actual room was fine. Comfortable bed, desk area to do work, fridge, & microwave. Carpets needed replaced in my opinion. The concierge woman on staff when we checked in & in the evening throughout our stay was not pleasant. I'm used to being offered a couple bottles of water upon check-in. She Barely acknowledged us when we left in the evening for dinner & returned despite us saying hello. She was wearing air pods & seemed involved in her phone. The woman in the morning, however, was very pleasant & friendly. Average hotel breakfast, but nice seating area. Would have been nice to have some flavored creamer pods, however. Maybe sounds petty, but I travel quite a bit so this is what I'm used to. There are other options for hotels in the area, so I'm not sure if the company will continue to use this one. So, I would conclude it was "ok", but I've definitely stayed in better for the same price.

Discriminated Against for Traveling with ADA Service Dogs…read more I stayed at Home2 Suites Beloit, WI with my two trained service dogs (each under 5 lbs, task-trained to assist me with a documented disability). My experience was deeply upsetting and discriminatory. Check-In & Front Desk: * Told I would have to pay a pet fee, despite ADA protection for service animals * Asked questions far beyond the two allowed under ADA * Front desk staff and manager were dismissive and accusatory, speaking in front of other guests * No meaningful apology was offered even after explaining my legal rights Post-Stay Harassment: * Owner/manager Roy Ward called me personally and screamed over the phone * Call was hostile and intimidating; I have a recording for my records Review Removal & Retaliation: * I initially posted a review under an alias to protect my privacy * Hotel had it removed, claiming "no record of that guest staying here" * I know the hotel knows which guest wrote the review Summary of Discrimination: * Illegal pet fee attempt for ADA service dogs * Excessive questioning beyond ADA limits * Dismissive and accusatory treatment in public * No meaningful apology * Post-stay harassment via phone from owner/manager * Attempted erasure of my review under an alias This experience was humiliating, stressful, and a clear violation of the ADA. Future guests with service animals should not face the same discrimination.

The shower screamed when it was on during our entire stay. The carpet is folding and coming up. The television didn't work. The free wifi was difficult to sign in to and would kick you off at random intervals. When any issues arose no one would answer the phone at the desk. When we went to the desk the only desk person of any help was a tall young lady who worked in the morning. The night auditors slept during their shift. One of the auditors absolutely would not help with anything. The more mature night auditor swore at me twice, one time after I said good morning. The final straw is that when I had a cardiac issue and had to come to the hospital possibly dying they decided to evict my wife. So my wife who was worried about whether her husband would live or die was told by an old gentlemen (no nametag, no employees had nametags) who refused to give his name. I am writing this review from the cardiac unit at Beloit memorial hospital. To advise people not to stay here is insufficient. The behavior of this business is beyond the pale.
