I always thought that BSW was a fantastic facility with ethical standards and values. Well, boy I…read morewas wrong. My aunt is in there right now. I found her unresponsive in her bedroom last Tuesday morning and I did not hesitate to send her to BSW. I remember that the EMTs asked why I wanted to take her there, but I just automatically said I have heard they are the best. I WAS WRONG - at least in the realm of mental health issues. You will lose all rights to your loved one if you get BSW involved. Yesterday, my review went from 5 to 1. My aunt was abused by my father-in-law in Richmond, Virginia and I figured it out based on my aunt selling her home in West Virginia (which she would never have done unless something was wrong). I went to Virginia, helped her get away from an abusive caregiver, and she was doing so well here in Ft. Worth getting stronger and better so she could return to all of her friends in West Virginia (where she has lived for 88 years). The BSW physiatrist said that with all the Doctors we were using to help get her stronger, she may have had a trigger with something that happened and she was reliving the trauma. She was in a catatonic state and with low dosages of benzodiazepines, she would come out and then with the reduced anxiety, she could work on what happened. My aunt was doing great and suddenly, yesterday, I was told that my aunt could make her own medical decisions, she had revoked my HIPPA rights, and I could not be in the room whenever any of her care was discussed. And BSW was so nasty that they brought two BWS police to stand outside her room while they told me that I could no longer be involved in her care. I have cared for her every day since she got out of her abusive situation. I was shocked and didn't really know what to do. I have no idea what is going on. My Aunt lives with me, but I now have no idea even where she is. It is like they have kidnapped my aunt by giving her mind-altering drugs and saying that she can now make her medical decisions, but she can't even get out of the bed to go to brush her teeth. I found out through other people that they want her to go to an In-house rehabilitation facility and be returned to West Virginia to go to a nursing home, which is EXACTLY what we were working on doing. Except, we were waiting for an assisted living facility because she just needs help with a few daily tasks. Now, I guess they have her so drugged that she can make her own medical decisions, but she needs to get stronger so she can go to a nursing home in West Virginia. Do not go to this hospital if you are concerned about a loved one's mental health. They are horrible. I was the one person who went to her defense when she was being abused and then BSW got hold of her and now I guess she is going to be a ward of the State of Texas because I am her only living relative and I know she loves West Virginia. They have known her for 4 days, have her on mind altering drugs but she can make her own medical decisions. The plan that they are working on behind my back is exactly what we were working on providing and we were just waiting on a room to become available at the Assisted Living facility. My aunt, in her right mind, knows all of this. If she doesn't remember, then she is not able to make her own medical decisions. BUT I CAN'T BE A PART OF MAKING IT HAPPEN. This hospital is the reason people with possible mental health issues should stay away or your family will not be able to help you get the help that you need. They will turn your family against you, scare you with police officers as they tell you to get away from your family member that you are asking for help with. PLEASE, PLEASE do not go here. You will have your heart broken and you will lose a person that you love. Please do not go to this hospital.

What a great experience this was. I've actually go to the BSW in downtown FTW for my Lung Condition…read morebut this location in Grapevine takes care to another level in my case. My Dr. Jeffrey Moffett was doing a Arthroscopic knee surgery to repair torn meniscus in right knee. Once we arrived we went to registration desk located very close to entrance was escorted by James a volunteer an entertained while navigating the hallways once there the nurse was ready to take me to prep, after getting all the prep work done they rolled me back gave me a nice sleep and I woke up repaired. The nurses were all very kind and the Anesthesiologist really did a great job in explanation. Today I'm feeling like a new man and walking without any ain whatsoever. Thank you all for making it so easy for me.

My husband had surgery at this location in February, 2025. On the day of surgery they charged us…read moreover $6,000. We had no choice but to pay or he would not have gotten his surgery. When all the claims were filed with our insurance, the insurance company said we only owed just over $2,000. I have been calling and trying for months to get the refund owed to us. I get sent from person to person. They keep telling me they are refiling with the insurance company. Excuse after excuse after excuse. Meanwhile they have not repaid the $4,000 they owe us.

So far so good. OMG how many people are having a surgical procedure done at 7 am???? This building…read moreis small and they are already packed to capacity in the waiting area... The staff greeted us upon entering the building and were very polite. They called Kenneth as soon as we sat down. So they are prompt in sticking with your allotted appointment time. The waiting area was surprisingly quiet and laid back. It was clean, well organized and smelled like vanilla and cinnamon. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas lol..... In the back the nurses were nice and pleasant. They explained what was going to happen and gave a rough estimate about how long it would take and what to expect. Diane, Scott and Sidney were great we were very pleased. Dr. Samming was great as usual. We so love his spirit he is so humbled and down to earth. I would recommend him to family and frp

Patients, BE AWARE!…read more Expensive blood tests are being ordered unnecessarily without first consulting with the physician, leaving patients to bear the cost. I went to see Dr. Le based on my PCP's recommendation for a brief consultation. I had already completed a full blood work panel at my PCP's office the day before. After I checked in, the front office staff directed me to a phlebotomist and insisted I get my blood drawn. I explained that I had just had blood work done the previous day and that this visit was for a consultation only. However, the office team insisted that I could not see Dr. Le unless I had a new set of blood tests done. Eventually, I gave in and had my blood drawn, as I had already taken time off work for the appointment. (Dr. Le was professional during the visit.) The worst part came when I received my bill from Texas Oncology after insurance adjustments. In addition to the regular tests, such as CBC and Iron Binding tests, a test called Flow Cytometry was ordered without my knowledge or consent. This test is typically used in medical research to study cell populations and particles. The test cost nearly $4,500, and even after insurance adjustments, I am still responsible for almost $700. Expensive and unnecessary blood tests are being ordered without proper consultation, leaving patients to pay the price.
