Last night I ordered the salmon salad and OH MY GOD - that may have been the most delicious salmon filet I've ever had. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to my preference. I usually order the tuna salad, which is also excellent. Last night I made a couple modifications to my salad (no candied pecans and no sugarcane vinaigrette), but when I received my plate I noticed the fresh berries and cheese were also missing. I mentioned it to my waitress and she immediately acted to fix it. I had my plate back in maybe two minutes. Things like that sort of go with the territory when you start requesting modifications, so I didn't blame her at all. Will be back. Always!

Service was a little slow but not terrible. Kids had grilled cheese and chicken tenders. GC was full of cheese and was on Texas toast. It was good. Chicken tenders seemed to be frozen style but weren't bad. I had Juci Hefer and I can say it's damn good. I did the parm truffle fries. They were good but weren't what I was expecting. One adult had the regular burger and he really liked it. GF had casual cow burger and she said it was okay but her fries were cold. Another adult had the grilled salad and it wasn't a hit. Draft beer was cold. Wednesdays are wing night, 20 for $25, and I saw a patron with wings and they looked delicious. I will definitely go back for wing night.

We, a family of 5 traveling from Kentucky to Galveston decided to stop overnight in Hammond. As soon as we arrived, our waitress immediately recognized the pent up energy of a 3 year old cooped up in a car seat for the last 8 hours. She immediately took his his order and had his dinner on the table quickly, occupying his busy hands. She recommended the spinach dip as appetizer with a fried pasta . It was gone in minutes! Great. She then recommended the special, pork loin, that my son devoured! Wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes. I had trout with almandine sauce. First time eating trout but after eating this, I realized I have missed out! It was outstanding. I recommend everyone coming down I55 should stop and visit Hammond, a very nice small town with all the southern charm you can imagine and a great eating establishment. !
