Pricing was secondary. I also looked at reviews prior to my calls. Power Clean Pros was the only company that picked up when I called. They agreed to my timeline of an estimate ASAP! The others had machines and did return calls the next day. The company rep Cole was out within 30 minutes. He surveyed the walk and the area on the brick wall that had mold from a shed that previously sat there. The cost was much higher than I expected at $250, but a quick turnaround was desired. Two days later Cole came out with truck and trailer and went to work. He has all of his own equipment and just requested a water source. Within an hour or so the job was done and looked excellent. There were a few minor areas on the wall that I discussed with him. He was willing to come back. It was explained that pressure on brick is a fine line to not damage. He erred on the conservative side. The company does not take credit cards, so its cash, or check. I was not available when the job concluded and mailed a check. I would use them again and return.

Everyone and their brother seems to have a side business doing pressure washing. But few are…read moreprofessionals that really know what they are doing and have an office staff to do scheduling. I called the office and spoke with Kelly who scheduled an estimator to look over our 4,000 sq ft home. Kelly was professional and polite. An appointment was set up for that week. The estimator whose name I now forget was punctual. He was knowledgeable about his trade and went over all the details of what needed done. I discussed other items for a later time. A written estimate was emailed to me a few days later. A 10% discount was applied off of a special. The pricing although not cheap was fair. I called the office to schedule and again McKown was prompt on scheduling. The gentleman who they sent out called the morning of the job and said he was running late. It ended up an hour late and he was very sick and ended up doing 15 min work and departing. The office called to reschedule that morning and apologized. Second person Mike was punctual and got the job done as promised, on time and even sprayed our lawn furniture at no extra charge. There were a few areas that needed attention and when advising the office was no issue at all. Mike called to discuss and asked if I wanted our two decks washed. I elected to do so. At that time I did let Mike know the first guy scraped up our drive with his trailer hitch. The decks were done on schedule with most of the dirt and mildew removed. An area under a tree was steered away from out of caution due to the type of tree. A follow up call by the office was made to check on the job and apply payment. I assume Mike forgot to mention the scrapped up drive, I forgot too! I would absolutely recommend them to friends. They also do other services such as roof power washing, painting and if needed wood repair. I think some things are subbed out with contractors they trust. I will most likely use them again in the Spring.

I'm a recent hire at McKown and was let go after a month due to "punctuality" I was told,…read moreapparently because I was 18 minutes late on a single workday 4 days previously. Other employees that have more tenure, were late or missed entire days more than once in that month. I was told management is doing Cocaine and the crew is smoking weed on job sites when there is a *company--no smoking" policy. But I was let go, due to being 18 minutes late one day, and I also have years more experience than the entire crew combined. So this is my honest review of McKown as an employer. They provide great service to customers, believe that, but if you want to work at McKown, be cautious of a heightened political business environment, and a lot of gossip and backstabbing from my honest observations. I come from a family of General Contractors and business owners, and this seemed very shady to me. I was blindsided. It feels hypocritical and two-faced, but business is business. I shook hands and walked away without disgruntlement, but if you hold me accountable for that reason, then please don't make me the only man with the finger pointed in his face when there are greater offenses being committed. That is all I'm saying really. Great company, just somewhat dysfunctional, and way too political and fickle. Also, they are not BBB accredited and I cannot find a contractors license anywhere online.
