I've been to Baya Bar many a time! It is one of my "go to"s for an açaí bowl. The thing I like about this açaí bowl is that it is a fruity base. Other places tend to put things in their açaí that changes the flavor (i.e. almond milk) but I really like that Baya Bar sticks to the basic flavor. I always get the Pacific Beach bowl, that's my very favorite! But the bowl pictured below is the Acai-u-later bowl which I loved as well. I prefer the Pacific Beach bowl because it has fruits that I prefer more than pineapple and those fruits are blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and coconut flakes. All topped with some delicious honey!! Their service is pretty good. I feel like most of the workers aren't thrilled to be there or take my order haha but that's whatever. Is what it is! Ordered through DD for online pickup and my Acai bowl was ready when I arrived and kept chilled! Very tasty even though they forgot the peanut butter. The Acai was basically frozen solid, though, so we had to wait a minute for it to thaw. We'll go again and maybe eat in the nice indoor space and check out some of the neighboring spots, too! read more

I have been craving extra protein and healthy food. I found this on DoorDash and thought I'd try it. I have become addicted. Unfortunately, I can only order this when at work and I've been craving it at home. I've tried many other acai bowls, but they just can't compare. The Koa is my favorite with some additions. Good place to get a smoothie or juice. There's quite a few options for bowls, smoothies, or juices. The place is a bit pricy though. The atmosphere is quiet, with some bar seating available, but not a ton. Customer service was good, but there was only one person at the counter so it took a few minutes to get the order (not complaining about it - I know there was only one person. The pitaya bowls from here are pretty good, but I wasn't a fan of the açaí bowl. Ordering in their app or from a 3rd party app (Grubhub, UberEats) can be challenging -- I've done this a few times and when I went to pick it up in store, their system wasn't letting them see the orders so they hadn't started on the order yet. Overall there are probably better fruit bowl/smoothie options out there read more

This place is good, not great. I have been back twice now and the smoothies never really impress me but I feel like there's not many other local smoothie places. Wasn't impressed with the pricing menu. It is not a full custom bar where you can add anything you want for a set price like its nearby competition. By the time you get everything you want it could be $20+ for an açaí bowl. I went in and their square system wasn't working so I couldn't use Apple Pay. I wanted to give this place a solid review because I saw it only had 3.5 stars and I don't think that's a fair rating. I got an Açaí bowl (the 3rd ave bowl) and it was great! Açaí was pretty authentic too (I lived in Brasil for a couple years and this was pretty good in comparison stuff I had in Brasil). My order didn't take too long and the server at the front counter was nice and she was also handling multiple orders in a calm demeanor (looked like she was making some smoothies and bowls as well as taking orders all by herself without additional help yet she kept the train rolling!) Anyway, in short, that wanted to say I'll be back and encourage more positive reviews of this place cause they are also one of the only açaí places open late and I want to see their business bloom! read more

Stumbled upon this bad boy and was not disappointed. Plenty of smoothie and açaí options. The inside is definitely instagramable with neon light signs and a mural. I got the 12 oz dragon bowl and added strawberries. It was very tasty although I did find myself wanting more of the dragonfruit base. At one point, all I had left were toppings. I decide to try this place because I've driven by it several times and it looked inviting. I ordered a Small Pacific Beach 12 oz. Açaí bowl with peanut butter as an add on. On the board it says in black and white $10.00 Add on peanut butter $1.00. I ordered two of these togo. When I got home I looked at my receipt because I spent $26. They charged me $12.50 for both bowls and $1.50 for add in peanut butter. So I was over charged $6.00. Which a lot for two tiny acai bowls. I tried calling them but no one answered. I love coming here for the coconut bowls! The north shore and coco nutella are personal favorites and are always made with fresh cut fruit. My sister regularly asks me to bring home a mango tango smoothie as well. The açaí base is also tasty and has no added filler fruit which is ideal. We love a good açaí bowl. The bowls we got were okay, but not the best. The base was very icy and not smooth. The granola was not super crunchy, and there was too much on my bowl. Sadly, a huge disappointment. Not only is it outrageously priced (the size of what I got for $10 is half the size of quality pitaya bowls), but the açaí and pitaya bases are frozen and you can taste the freezer burn on them. Secondly, they put canned pineapple on it. Then topped it with honey- so it was SUUUUPER sweet and sugary. The granola isn't impressive either. Basically it was a bowl I could have put together at home. I have to two stars for the customer service. Quality just needs VAST improvement. read more

I love the smoothies and bowls, however the service was awful. I went in because I got a text about the year anniversary promotion, I drove from Salt Lake City to Millcreek to get a smoothie, the 2 girls at the front seemed mad that I came in before 1 when my text said the promotion was all day. Customer service was amazing and the food was even better. Bowls come in a larger, wider container rather than a deeper one so you get the most toppings possible. The juices are the best thing there and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back for those alone! read more
