They can only ask two questions: 1) Is this a service animal required because of a disability? and 2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Instead, this felt like a interrogation, and was treated as though I was trying to scam them with a fake pet. It was humiliating, stressful, and a clear violation of federal law. My service dog was calm and well-behaved the entire time, the managements short commings in staff training ruined what should have been a simple meal out. I left without eating and took my dollars elsewhere. I do not blame the hostess as I can guarantee she was directed to ask for "documentation".
