Tried the breakfast sandwich and the strawberry sunshine and they were both fantastic.

Grumpy Dough - The Manila Sandwich

I am a proselytizer for Grumpy Dough. The Manila changed my brain chemistry and I tell anyone who…read morewill listen about it. Aggressively. The homemade longganisa (Philippine breakfast sausage) itself is incredible with the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and perfect garlicky-ness. If they ever consider selling their longganisa in local Asian stores I will absolutely be first in line. And then they built everything around the longganisa, forming the most beautiful longsilog (longanisa breakfast) sandwich ever imagined with the soft brioche, atchara (pickled papaya), runny egg, cucumber, cheddar cheese with that really mild bite, and spicy mayo (which is very mild, I don't do spicy and it was great). I'm drooling just typing this out. If I lived closer I would be here weekly. It's worth the price (it's also huge/filling, on top of insanely delicious). It's worth the line. Yes, the line can be kind of long so either come early or just make sure you have the time available to you. It will be worth the wait. You can take the buzzer with you into Roots coffee and grab a drink, or pop next door into Ruby Snaps and try some cookies while you wait. The owners/family/employees are all very friendly and helpful with any questions. If I have more opportunities I'll eventually try every sandwich. My friend tried the Bulgogi and loved it. The bite I had was great; the Bulgogi was seasoned really well and it also went fantastic with the brioche. The ribeye meat was really tender. I'd asked for a side of extra atchara with my sandwich not realizing how much was already on it. I suggested to my friend to add it to her Bulgogi because the sweet tanginess from the rice vinegar would complement it well, and she loved the combination -- that is also my suggestion to all of you.

I am obsessed with breakfast, and this breakfast sandwich will have me dreaming of our next visit!!…read moreTheir menu is fun, creative, and the sandwiches are packed with serious flavor. I had the Manila and LOVED the pickled papaya & cucumber paired with the Filipino longganisa, and let's not forget about the fluffy, buttery brioche bun! I just can't get enough! My husband had the bulgogi and was equally impressed. Being a food truck they have a cool set up, a couple seats outdoors and a sweet partnership with the coffee shop next door who offers their patrons a place to sit and eat inside. Can't wait to visit again!

They are putting the street in street taco that's for sure. We went right during sunset, and it was actually so gorgeous with the mountains. I got Al pastor tacos and my husband got Al pastor, carne asada, and tripa. The Al pastor was soooo good!!! My husband enjoyed the carne asada and also said the tripa was amazing and super crunchy. They have a cooler with toppings and you get to load up the tacos yourself. They also have a cooler with drinks, but they didn't have any Diet Coke. The guys working were super nice and quick. The people in front of us ordered burritos and they let you load them up before wrapping them. I'd love to come back for a burrito. Overall, it lived up to the hype! Worth the stop for sure and highly recommend during sunset.

Staff wasn't the friendliest but hey it's a hot day with a huge crowd so no big deal. The orders were limited to burrito and taco combos, that come with a canned soda, rice and beans. The taco combo comes with three. Went with the asada and boy were these mediocre. Cheapest cut of chewy meat drenched in oil to help enhance the flavor nestled inside of a store bought tortilla. Tiny tacos with subpar meat filled with the sort of gristle you won't enjoy. For $15 I felt ripped off. The burrito was mostly bright orange rice, not the usual light red rice an abuela makes, filled with half melted cheese, and what appears to be canned beans with a sprinkle of that ghastly meat. Not sure what the hype is about but this place is substandard at best. If you're hungry with no options it's better than nothing but really not worth your money at $5 a taco.

From the original contact to the delivery everything was great and professional. I had many people come up to me at our event and say the food was amazing. Most were not expecting much at a picnic. Presentation and taste were top notch. I hope to work with Angela and her team again. Thank you for making me the star of the reunion.

It took serious willpower to stop eating and go talk to our guests, and then I wanted to circle back. My mom still wants the chicken recipe, and not only the salmon and rolls, but the vegetables were amazing too! Second: since it was COVID, we had to switch from buffet-style to fully catered, which obviously is a price jump. Angela was so helpful and worked with us to modify the menu so we could get it to an acceptable price--and it was so reasonable. Her staff came and served the food. We were kind of running late ourselves, but they helped it run smoothly. She also recommended cheaper options for desserts, and made specialty cookies and delicious peach lemonade to match our theme! I'm so so glad we hired her. 100% would hire again, and will do so for our next catering need! *Unfortunately we didn't get many food pictures :( Here was the salad and drinks/table setup.
