New Stage Home Improvement (Power construction at time) installed vinyl siding on my home in…read moreAndvoer MA. The professionalism started right from the first visit - Manuel came to our home, and rather than pushing expensive ideas and knowledge on us, he kindly informed us of all options, at times even suggesting ways to save money. We have a toddler at time, and had trouble with other sales folks keeping the appointments short and to the point - Manuel was very understanding and helpful. When comparing the quotes, they were the best balance of cost, quality and commitment according to references I checked, and we decided to move forward with them. Throughout the installation, Eddy, Luis and their whole team was very professional. They worked quite fast - we had quotes for 2-3 weeks for project, Power finished it it 5 days, not by cutting corners but by having more people - at times there was a dozen workers there. They cleaned up the surroundings everyday for 45 minutes at end of each day - and when we found a small nail in garden bed, went hunting for them till they got the last one. During the whole project, if I found a small change I wanted, any small imperfection I asked to fix, they got it done. They even corrected small tilts in the building (most houses in new england are not perfect) so it is not noticeable at all. They even painted my door (did not expect, was not on the state of work), and cleaned for hours in the end to make sure no debris is left. I consider myself a little particular about these projects - I found some small imperfections that were only visual in nature months after the project, and asked if they can do something easily. Eddy brought a small crew, and basically redid the whole area to fix it to perfection. I also benefited from their in-house electrician (Mario) who I hired to reroute wiring and get some exterior lightnings and cameras - he was very responsive, reasonable and worked well with the siding crew. Lastly, Danielle in the office is very helpful with scheduling, payments and other support as needed. Siding is a big project. There are going to be some mishaps - any contractor that guarantees that nothing will happen, is lying and will shake off responsibility of fixing things if something happens. Since the beginning, power construction team was clear that they will get the job done, and if something is bothering us, they will fix it. When I noticed that the ladders scratched a couple of boards on the deck, they got a decking crew to replace them with new boards. To me, that is the contractor I want - who will stand behind their work, take responsibility and deliver what they promised with quality and speed. In the end, I believe Power Construction is an excellent contractor for complicated projects and excelled in getting a new siding in our home. We get compliments from all our neighbors, and multiple people have asked for company's info - because one can just look at work and see the effort they put in. Can't recommend them more.

I worked with Tiago for contract signing and sales. Tiago was great to work with and made sure I was comfortable and confident going into the contract understanding the full scope of work. He was great through the whole process. Thanks Tiago! I worked directly with Gustavo for the roofing project. It went smooth with no problems at all. They started and completed ahead of schedule with proper clean up. Gustavo even sent me pictures and explained change orders that were needed. Thank you Gustavo, job well done! I worked with Fernando for the window install and siding portion of the project. Overall everything went well with a few hiccups throughout his portion of work. When there were problems and miscommunications he did fix them and even apologized, which goes a long way. Thank you for making things right Fernando! Overall they were a good company to work with and I would hire them again. Thank you Winterhill.

I have attached the "Welcome to Winter Hill!" email that makes for a great reference point of what…read moreNOT to expect from this "company". I received the welcome email once we signed and completed our contract with Winter Hill GC to take on our building's siding repairs. We then immediately sent the check for the first payment to the office and were excited to move forward with the project. The next form of communication (which I am not sure it would qualify as) was a refund check that we received in the mail 11 days later. There was no notice, explanation or additional context provided, just a check. Thinking there may have been some kind of mistake, I followed up with the individual who we had been working with (for months leading up to this, mind you) and the general email/phone number that was provided via the "Welcome Email". 5 days went by, no call, email, text, nothing. Finally, I was able to get in touch with our main point of contact (only after I was the one to follow up). I was told that they were sorry but they decided they did not want to honor the signed contract and no longer had interest in doing the work. Still no written communication from Winter Hill that this was the case. I am typically not one to write these kind of reviews but wanted others to be aware of this incident and advise to look elsewhere. To summarize, I'll reference the Co-founder & CEO of Winter Hill General Contractor, Claudio's comments in the welcome email - do NOT expect to be treated as "family", do NOT expect to be updated every step of the way, and do NOT expect them to get back to you if you have any questions. DO expect that after you sign the contract/submit the first payment you will receive a refund in the mail 11 days later, with no absolutely no explanation or other communication. THAT is the Winter Hill General Contractor Difference!

Mike from MNM Handyman Services could not have been more helpful when I really needed it…read more Completely went above & beyond, and saved me a lot of money on electrical work. For a little backstory: When some DIY electrical work replacing a ceiling light fixture went wrong, I was stuck without power in my kitchen, living room, or bathroom. I started calling electricians, handy-man services, Home Depot, and anyone else I could get on the line. Mike from MNM Handyman Services was the only person who took the time to listen to me over the phone, and immediately offered some safety tips that allowed me to at least restore power in the rest of my apartment without worrying about electrocuting myself. The very same day, he arrived at my door and took care of the problem. Turns out we were dealing with some pretty ancient wiring, so it wasn't the standard Black/White/Ground situation to connect the fixture. Mike quickly figured out exactly what needed to be done, and explained everything he was doing every step of the way (but of course reminded me never to do it myself unless I know what I'm doing... safety first). Would call 10/10 times for electrical work, or anything else that I can't figure out myself, because I know Mike would make sure it gets done RIGHT. Happy to say I found a friendly, professional, and skilled handyman... a great resolution to what was shaping up to be a disastrous day.

Nothing but great things to say about Brian and his crew. We quoted several roofers, and not only…read morewas Brian the most competitive bid, he was also the most responsive, answering all of our questions in an extremely timely manner, and he provided his quote to us the same day he came out. Brian was extremely prompt. He was on time for the initial quote, on time when he said he was coming over to drop off samples, and he and his crew were even a bit early on both days of work required to complete the roof. Brian was extremely patient and helpful throughout the process, answering all of my questions, and taking the time to get on the roof himself to take close up pictures to show me the issues that we had so that I was better educated. We needed to have the entire roof replaced, and Brian told us it would take one day, possibly two worst case scenario. Turns out out roof was not properly vented and so we had FORTY sheets if plywood that needed to be replaced. Had it not been for that extreme amount of additional work, I am certain they would have finished in one day. Both days the weather outside was approximately 15 degrees, but that didn't stop him or his crew. They were at the house by 7:30 AM (on Saturday and Sunday), and didn't leave till after the sun went down the first day. Very hard working, cleaned up after themselves each day as immaculately as you could hope a roofing crew to. We had the roof done in early November, and there has not been an issue yet, so I haven't had to call Brian back to fix anything (though given our experience up till now, I have no doubt he would make it right back out here). All told, it was an extremely pleasant process working with Brian and his crew, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who would listen.
