Not for the terminal, but for the UBER shuttle service that meets here…read more Amazing to be able to take an UBER shuttle directly from this location in Brooklyn to LaGuardia. Even more amazing, it was just $25 for two riders for almost door to door service. Perfect when you are moving books, kitchen supplies and clothes from Brooklyn back to Houston while Southwest Airlines still has two bags for free. (This changes tomorrow!) Book the shuttle on the UBER app. Pick up is at the corner near the Atlantic Terminal. Scan the QR code and then you are on your way. So easy and so convenient. While we were waiting, we met a lady also waiting for the UBER airport shuttle. For one rider, it is just $15. What a bargain!

But lately the F train has been coming more often. Which is good since that means I don't have to always run for the train. Currently they are working and trying to renew some stuff on the station as well. The station is also pretty decent, not super dirty or anything. The F train is one of the many trains that I take to go to school and work.

The 2 train stopped at Church Avenue and I noticed this mural at the station. Can I step out snap photo fast and then run back in? I think I can and DID! The mural was constructed by artist Louis Delsarte and it's called " Transition" and depicts various ethnic scenes according to Wikipedia. The stained glass and glass mosaic was installed in 2001. Thus, if you are passing Church Avenue on the 2 train, stop a moment and view this beautiful mural or you can do a fast in/out procedure, snap a photo and study it at your leisure. Art is all around us!

This review was for LIRR Atlantic terminal which has its own yelp listing site now…read more It's a super convenient station right on the northern tip of prospect park. It sure beats Penn Station!!! I take the 845 transfer at Jamaica in the morning to the Huntington line onto Hicksville. It's super easy. Abit pricey of peak round trip ticket of 19 dollars but that's NYC! And that's off peak!!! The LIRR station here is actually limestone marble! A musician looking for tips usually plays the violin, so it's actually very relaxing. It's reminiscent of fiddler on the roof in it's genre. There are so many trains back to NYC directions in the afternoon! So no prob. Take LIRR and relax. It's vinyl seat luxury travel!! Frankly there are several destinations that the subway MTA does not reach. LIRR/MTA has a great app online that tells you the schedule, pricing, and purchase the ticket in advance. However, I just go to the machine at the station by the way is actually a less used, open one close to the counter window itself ironically. So look around the corner of you need a short line machine.

I was there on Tuesday and, as usual, the size can feel overwhelming with so many lines meeting here. It is easy to get turned around, but once you figure it out, it really is a convenient station. One thing I appreciate is that there are elevators, which makes it a good choice for people who need accessible subway stations. That makes a big difference when you are carrying things or helping someone who needs easier access. The station is busy, but that also makes it feel safe, and being right next to Barclays Center and Atlantic Terminal means you can grab food, shop, or head to an event without going far. It is not perfect, since clearer signs would help, but overall it is reliable, accessible, and part of the Brooklyn experience.
