I really love that they have a little play center which they organize like: post office, veterinary, grocery, doctor, etc along with things to use imaginative play! They have many different interactive toys, computers for children to learn while "playing" & I enjoy the events they hold for children. While I wasn't able to look around the entire library, it was very clean and welcoming. The staff was okay, but I did not have much interaction with them as I was focused on our baby. The parking lot is a bit small for the events they hold, so it's possible you'll need to park down the end of the adjacent park if you get there a little late. But all in all, it was a lovely visit. We do plan to go back again, I'd like to personally go when there are no events to see how quiet would be for studying.

I also liked the fact that they offered a lot of chairs and tables for people to sit at, whether they'd want to read books, whip out their laptops to work or do homework. They also have a "teen" or "young adult" section where you would find a great selection of manga/Japanese comic books. The library staff were very nice and helpful. I just created my library card the other day, and the staff was very patient and friendly. I would definitely go back to the library to borrow some books and movies.

They have lots of selections to choose from and if they don't have it in hand, they can locate it for you. They'll notify you once they receive it so you can pick it up. All Contra Costa libraries do and they all swap books. It is so convenient here and very friendly staff.

As other libraries, this branch also offer self-checkouts and easy drop offs. They they also offer automatic extension for borrowed items and you can also put books on hold if you are waiting on a specific one. I also had a privilege of using one of the conference rooms with other mom friends to help our kids with their homework. Parking is ample and is located in downtown Brentwood, so you can also shop, eat, play and walk around after. If you also want to support the library, one way is to check out their second hand books on the second floor or donate books as well.

I went on a random weekday and within 5 min of the library opening and they had no more rooms! It also gets kind of loud and I had to sit outside for a quieter environment.
