As other libraries, this branch also offer self-checkouts and easy drop offs. They they also offer automatic extension for borrowed items and you can also put books on hold if you are waiting on a specific one. I also had a privilege of using one of the conference rooms with other mom friends to help our kids with their homework. Parking is ample and is located in downtown Brentwood, so you can also shop, eat, play and walk around after. If you also want to support the library, one way is to check out their second hand books on the second floor or donate books as well.

It can get loud afterschool but security does a good job stepping in if it gets to be too much. Staff are kind and flexible with kids too which is so nice to see. They have great resources for kids and adults such as computers, puzzles, toys and pretend play area.

She (Maria Campbell - LMC Welding Instructor) / lacks to provide adequate welding material saying "you're just going to have to make due." in addition she criticizes and doesn't correct or give adequate explanations on how to do something, everything is rushed and half assed, the amount of student to teacher time in the shop is at most 5 minutes / this is without constant pressure from a student asking for help and to be given an example. In addition, she penalizes students who have to leave early when they have work early AM the next morning. Never in my 5 semesters have I heard or been told by a professor "welcome to the real world." In response to me letting her know I would be leaving at around 8:30pm due to me having to be up at 04:45am the next morning. Im extremely disgusted and disappointed with how she conducts, handles, speaks, and teaches, she lacks knowledge of the field and does not have enough time under her belt to be a adequate welding professor. I also liked the fact that they offered a lot of chairs and tables for people to sit at, whether they'd want to read books, whip out their laptops to work or do homework. They also have a "teen" or "young adult" section where you would find a great selection of manga/Japanese comic books. The library staff were very nice and helpful. I just created my library card the other day, and the staff was very patient and friendly. I would definitely go back to the library to borrow some books and movies.

While I wasn't able to look around the entire library, it was very clean and welcoming. The staff was okay, but I did not have much interaction with them as I was focused on our baby. The parking lot is a bit small for the events they hold, so it's possible you'll need to park down the end of the adjacent park if you get there a little late. But all in all, it was a lovely visit. We do plan to go back again, I'd like to personally go when there are no events to see how quiet would be for studying.

This library is absolutely enchanting. Set amongst redwoods and within walking distance to Hallmark…read moremovie-esque downtown Mill Valley, this library is a must visit and must frequent. The layout is very well organized, and there's plenty of natural light from the tall windows (highlighting the setting of surrounding redwoods). The lovely & historical art displayed on the walls downstairs is very interesting to peruse and look at. I use my library membership here to access a few online apps to borrow books (Libby & Hoopla), and I always find what I'm looking for as the access is not just MV library, but includes all Marin County libraries. Also, icing on the vegan cake is that on the side of the building is a small but very well stocked used bookstore -the Friends of the Library Bookstore- with a diverse selection of secondhand books at incredibly low prices.

This review is for the EKG Technician Continuing Education course, Fall 2025, Concord Campus…read more The EKG Technician course is supposed to be an 11.5-week, 60-hour in-person program with instruction and hands-on lab experience, but the reality has been far from what was advertised, and instead a huge disappointment and waste of time. The start of class was delayed a week with no reason and no proactive communication about logistics - I had to reach out the first day of instruction just to find out which classroom to go to and who the instructor would be. Since then, multiple class sessions were canceled or ended early, and we had only about five hours of actual classroom time instead of the nearly 28 hours we should have had by the end of week 4 (minus four canceled classes). The content itself was very disappointing - mostly reading slides (which were a recap of the textbook) and watching YouTube videos with very limited access to equipment or lab practice (which seemed to be an administrative issue). There was no effort to make up missed time, and it's hard to see how students would reach the advertised 60 hours of instruction, let alone pass the course or pass state certification. The instructor appeared to have good intentions, but it seems this last-minute staffing decision left everyone unprepared, including the instructor themself. Attempts to contact Continuing Education for help went unanswered, which is incredibly frustrating for those of us who paid full fees (over $1,600) and commute long distances to attend. To make matters worse, the Concord campus at that time had poor (no) lighting on the walkway from the parking lot, which is definitely a safety concern for evening classes. Overall, this experience has been unprofessional and discouraging. CSU East Bay Continuing Education really needs to address the lack of communication, instructional quality, equipment availability, and basic campus safety before continuing to offer it. BTW, check your local community college instead if similar courses are offered, it will be A LOT cheaper ($46/unit for Cali residents)!

I came by here to get some books for school because it would save me a trip to the Hayward campus…read more Unfortunately, this place is out in the weeds too. It's next to a state park or in the middle of it. So, I came here because I thought it was closer. When I was in grad school before, there was a campus in Walnut Creek. It was in the middle of downtown and was quite easily accessible. But this place isn't. And if there is traffic (and there was) look out! I am glad that I don't have to come here regularly because I'd have to get out of work a good two hours before class to get there on time and then drive all of the way home after class. They aren't open on Friday or Saturdays. But I was able to pick up my books. I was going to look for some school swag but they didn't really have any. In the future, I will have my books sent to me to avoid having to come all of the way out here to pick up two books.
