The office staff at Red's was patient and knowledgeable. Making the appointment took mins and the woman answering the phone answered all my questions. The technician that showed up was fantastic- cleaned my unit inside and out (old company never did), performed a full service and transfer test. He showed me how to manually transfer also (I had never learned) and put me on their dealer fleet monitoring. They have 24/7 emergency service and the calls go to an actual employee - not an answering service. The owner is a local firefighter in town also- the commitment to their local community evident. Highly recommend!

He arrived on time and let me know approximately how long the maintenance work would take and immediately set right to work. Since I have every intention of renewing our maintenance contract I hope we are fortunate to have him service our generator again.

We have an annual service contract with another provider and they did come out Saturday evening (it was hotter than Hades in the house without the a/c). We were told we needed to replace the coil or we might consider replacing the whole unit since it was 12 years old. What do I know about coils and the average live span of an a/c unit? A friend referred us to First Degree and they came out FIRST THING (no pun intended) Monday morning (8:15AM). They explained what was going on with our a/c, reset the "unit" and the a/c has been working fine without replacing the coil. More importantly, with the amount of redundancy we have to prevent a leak in our current system (in the attic), First Degree couldn't explain why our existing company didn't just reset the "unit" to get us through the weekend. Instead, we spent Saturday and Sunday night sleeping at Hotel Hades. I guess after 2 nights in hell, most customers are willing to spend anything to get their a/c working again. We will definitely be referring Ken at First Degree to all our friends!

I am not surprised PLV went bankrupt…read more Their poor training was apparent with their sloppy work, battery-powered tools not being charged, & not cleaning up afterwards. The worst was the guy installing a new main breaker panel using only the light from his cell phone & then mislabeling most of the outlets on the panel door. In addition, the panel wires were not labeled by them before they swapped panels, so they flipped every circuit breaker off/on to determine which outlets were on them. So, they created power surges across every appliance. Be aware that they are now known as My Generator Experts and Ryan's Electric. +++++++++++++++ After seeing Paul's immature response to my above review, I only wish I could give zero stars. Now I better understand why he was a horrible supervisor. (BTW, my panel was clearly marked as to which circuit breakers went to which outlets.)
