I went to this office for an injury to my ankle. They took me the day after I called. They were busy & was able to squeeze me in. I did have to wait a little but I didn't mind. The staff was so wonderful the ladies at the front desk were personable and sweet. The doctor was very attentive and made my visit so smooth flowing. Although there were multiple patients in the waiting room he did not rush when evaluating my ankle and really listen to the issue I was having with it. I would 10/10 recommend. I met Dr.Matzoykas one day when I accompanied my friend to his office. Since I was there I showed the doctor a corn that I had on my fourth toe...he automatically said yes I can take care of it...I made an appointment went in and explained everything to me!!! I have been a patient of Bay Podiatry for a long time. As a Diabetic, I have seen the Doctor many times. He has always told me to come in whenever I have an issue. I had just seen him 4 days ago and told him I had foot pain. It got worse over the 4 days. I called today to see if I can come in because I couldn't walk. The pain was so bad. I was told by the Receptionist Irene that the Doctor said NO. I told her I am in so much pain, her response was I'm busy and he said NO so I don't know what to tell you. I repeated that I am in extreme pain and again her response was "THE DOCTOR SAID NO... I'M BUSY". She asked if I want to come Thursday, which is 4 days away. I told her I will need to go to ER because I'm in too much pain. Still she said, HE SAID NO..... You can believe I will give this place a low rating and not refer any other people to them. I visited Dr. Mantzoukas office for the first time this week and had an absolutely wonderful experience! He was thorough and specific in answering all of my questions and he put me completely at ease in regards to numerous issues I have with one of my feet. The lady at the front desk/RN/Assistant to the Doctor was also very lovely and extremely helpful. This doctor had "decent" bedside-manner, however, he used a used a sonogram for my procedure which tacked an extra $20 onto my copay and did not inform me of the extra charge beforehand. This brought my total to $50 instead of $30. This was a very disingenuous tactic. I won't be visiting again. read more

Dr Mantzoukas is a wonderful doctor. He is not only knowledgeable, experienced and a very professional surgeon, but he's also a very nice and compassionate doctor with excellent bedside manners! He did my first bunion surgery 5 years ago and I had an excellent experience with that surgery. I recovered fast and smooth within a few weeks with absolutely no complications and I was happy with the results. That great experience 5 years ago made me think to take care of the other bunion and I was too quick to make a decision to proceed, and I made a big mistake ...( I realized it later ) and I went to a different podiatrist ( in Manhattan)for logistics reasoning ( I don't live or work in Brooklyn anymore) Unfortunately, I paid the price suffering from pain and complications for 7 weeks until I called and made an appointment with Dr. Mantzoukas for a second opinion. He instantly realized what the problem was and how he can help me. He booked me for the surgery and took care of the problem right away and I feel so much better ever since I returned to Dr.Mantzoukas and he took care of my complicated foot. ⁃ Thank you Doctor Mantzoukas, you are the Best !!! read more

Dr. Mantzoukas is my podiatrist. Been taking care of my feet for years. Last week I had an emergency (bad ingrown toenail). Took me right away. Kind, compassionate and a very very good doctor. Been taking care of my husband for years also. My husband has severe neuropathy. Dr. M and the staff are the best. Teresa, Irene and the other ladies are the best staff ever. I was looking for a good podiatrist for a while due to the fact my last podiatrist doctor didn't complete the job right. I had an ingrown nail in left big toe. It was removed, but months later It started to hurt again and I had puss coming out. I got very frustrated so I didn't even think to go back to the that doctor. I started searching for a new podiatrist and I finally found Dr. Mantzoukas!!! When I came for my appointment I was a bit late but the ladies at the front desk was nice and understanding. When I met Dr. Mantzoukas he approached me very friendly and professionally. He listened to my issue and what I had to say. He examined me carefully and told me that the ingrown nail started to grow again! I was so upset because I thought the last doctor removed it fully, but I guess not. Dr. Mantzoukas informed me that he can remove it today and make sure it never grows back. Dr. Mantzoukas made sure that the anesthesia part would be less painful than what happened to me at the other doctor office. Once everything was done he explained the post care and the healing process. He warned me of things I might see throughout the healing process and told me not to get scared. He prescribed me antibiotics (which the other doctor never did) , but Dr. Mantzoukas made sure to prescribed me cream and antibiotics so the healing process can heal 100%. Overall, I AM IMPRESSED with Dr. Mantzoukas and will be coming back for sure! Highly recommend this doctor you will be in great hands! read more

Dr. Gaither is a wonderful doctor. It is a shame that he has a member of his staff that works in billing makes things difficult for patients. They were not upfront about out of pocket costs. Sent me a bill and then would not let me make payments. Said if I did try to make payments, I would be subjected to a 15 dollar finance charge each month!!!! Sadly I will have to quit going to this great doctor. read more
