Do not deal with this place. Over 4 months and they still hold my 20000 deposit. Also not responding to my attorney.

Stay far far away from this company…read more A friend personally called the owner of this shop to set up the introduction for me. Unfortunately, every encounter I had with this company after the initial introduction was bad. I dropped my wave runner off to be serviced on a Wednesday, and I was told they would look at my ski, call me to let me know what was wrong, then start fixing it. I never received a phone call. Instead, I followed up to see whether the problem was diagnosed, and I was told they'd already started working on The ski. Odd....that's not how they said it would go. I called again, two days later, to see how things were going, and I was told they were waiting for spark plugs that were due to arrive in 3 days. I called in 3 days to make sure the spark plugs arrived, but no one returned my call. I followed up the fourth day, and politely inquired about the spark plugs, as it had become apparent to me that the staff thought I was a bother. At that point, I was met with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I was given one story after another about what was wrong with my jet ski and where things stood relative to the repairs. On more than one occasion, the owner yelled at me and told me to pick my jet ski up and get it out of his shop. Rather than going to deal with the abuse, I asked my husband to pick the ski up. When he got to Full Throttle, the owner bad mouthed me to him. Then, when my husband asked what was wrong with the ski and inquired as to what he did to try to fix it, the owner said, "I'm not saying." The owner of Full Throtle lacks professionalism, customer service and common courtesy. Don't waste your time or money here.

I am a terrible customer at times as I can be bit ornery when things are not going according to schedule. They will oblige you and take care of all your needs even when you are a stressful customer. I am thankful that they continued to assist me with my boat and all my needs concerning it.

I feel badly that two others had issues buying parts and getting work done, but in terms of…read moreSkipper Bud's as an overall operation, this place is the BEST. I spent two years getting jerked around by other Chicago marinas before I was ultimately stranded with a boat that didn't work. With winter approaching, someone suggested I reach out to Jim Wardlow at Skipper Bud's. Not only did his team come down to personally tow my boat, but Jim kept in touch with me throughout the winter to let me know why it wasn't running. He took pictures of my engine and sent them to me with a diagnosis and expert suggestion. Then he told me to go do my research to make sure it seemed right and fair. It was a big lesson in boat mechanics, and a big relief to be treated with such kindness and candor. The next summer, my boat ran perfectly. Jim or coworker Debb even checked in on occasion to make sure it was running the way it should. Despite having hundreds of customers, I've never experienced more personalized, comprehensive and honest customer service. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I wrote a review about being ripped off on a boat I purchased from Skipper Bud. On June 26 I…read morereceived an email asking me to discuss the matter with their general manager Bill Wood. They left a phone number for me to call which I did, with no response from Wood. They told me this is certainly not the type of business they do etc. The email was probably some type of fishing-I stand by my initial yelp post. No decency-bad people.
