I've had many kebabs in my life so I'm a self proclaimed kebab connoisseur. I was happy with the freshness of the salad ingredients and leanness of the chicken. They also put it in the sandwich press to give it a crispy toasted feel, like all good kebab shops should do.
The downside is that the guy making my kebab didn't hear, (or forgot) one of the sauces in the kebab. This resulted in a somewhat dry kebab. However I've given the shop the benefit of the doubt and imagined what it would be like if it weren't for the oversight. Overall solid. I was also happy with the fact that they offer both hummus and tahini. It's such a slight difference that most shops don't care about. But I do care, and I'm impressed.
The final point to make is on service. Bay kebabs falls into the most typical late night kebab trap. Late at night the store is flooded with loud, drunk, obnoxious patrons who taint the staff. The staff get fed up and treat the patrons like cattle - which they should because they are drink lunatics. HOWEVER this service often extends into to the day when there are regular people coming into the shop.
So overall a solid kebab with a star lost for service and forgetting a sauce. Boom - great review ash. read more
