Last weekend was yet another fun filled evening with Jason tending our bar for our baby shower party. This was our second engagement with Jason and I am certainly going to use his services for future events. He simply rocks! Before the event, t was easy to plan for the event with Jason, he is very responsive and provided great suggestions for cocktails. On the day of the event, he came almost and hour early to set, what I would call, an elaborate bar for our party. The hillside venue had a bunch of stairs but Jason never did complain about going up and down several times. During the party, he was extremely professional and very amicable to our guests. His drinks were well received and so was his friendly personality. Post the party he cleaned up nicely after himself and also offered to load the leftover drinks in my vehicle. We hired Jason and his team for our 150 + person wedding and couldn't have been happier with his company! Neither my husband nor I drink (at all) so we needed bartenders that would take the lead and Jbartends saved the day. I was very unsure about who to hire for our wedding because I didn't have any personal referrals and had interviewed so many companies and everyone promised such great things but Jason were the most direct and honest so we went with him. The theme of all the grad parties this year seemed to be tacos! We tried four different vendors at various parties, and J Bartends was by far the best. Jason provides more options, is very responsive and communicative, very open to meeting your individual needs, patient and all-around great to work with. My guests raved about the food and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. His set up on our back patio looked like a mini-Mexican restaurant with all of his table decor, serving bowls, cook-top, etc. I priced out many places too, and his was right in the middle, worth every penny! We had Jason and his staff work our wedding (87-ish people) this past Friday. I will always recommend J Bartends Co. to anyone that needs a local bartender and staff, for the following reasons: 1) Communication: Jason responds quickly and professionally to all your questions. While planning a wedding, I cannot stress enough how important this is, because he made our planning that much easier. After my initial email to him, he called me within a few hours, and we discusses what I wanted. He suggested some great ideas that I thought would be perfect, and we just went from there. He provided me with a great detailed quote within a few days. I had some other additions to it, so we re-worked it with no problem. We came up with a contract that was pretty much exactly what I wanted, and it was perfect. In the lead up to the wedding he'd check in with me regarding if I needed anything else, etc. 2) Price: He's extremely reasonable! He works within our price point, and just because you say "wedding" he doesn't jack up his rate (seen those in my wedding planning). His quote gets a great breakdown as well. Additionally, he suggested a party rental place (because I asked for suggestions) and charges a small fee (fraction of what the rental place charged) to pick them up and drop back off. So again, great price and this also ties back to great communication. Also, he doesn't do the "service charge" language in his contract. Which means that he's not arbitrarily collecting 20% and then not tipping his staff. (Small tip/rant here: if you are looking to hire any vendor, and they don't spell out tipping policies, then be very wary of whether they tip their workers. A "service charge" is not the same as "gratuity" and is a clever workaround.) J Bartends does not include tip in the contract, nor any "service charge", and so it's up to you to tip him and his staff as you see fit. 3) Service: Damn good service. We hired Jason and two servers to help out throughout the night. They were all very professional, friendly, accommodating, and just generally a pleasure to work with. They made sure everything went well, without any complications (at least none that I knew about, which is great for me because I was the bride and had enough stuff to stress about.) So thank you J Bartends Co., thank you Jason and your lovely staff for making our day that much easier to enjoy. For anyone who wants to hire a bartender, especially for your wedding (if you're in a non required vendor list venue), please consider J Bartends Co. for making your day that much easier and fun. read more
