First Tier Exterior - Another Completed Project by First Tier Exterior!

First Tier Exterior

We had a great experience with First Tier Exterior for a fairly extensive stucco repair project…read more Once work began, they discovered two layers of existing stucco, which made the job more complicated than expected. They clearly explained what they found and handled the additional work professionally. The crew was experienced, hardworking, and paid close attention to the underlying waterproofing and construction details. The finished stucco looks excellent, and they also did a thorough cleanup afterward. Bruce, Felix, and the team were responsive throughout the project and easy to work with. Overall, we're very happy with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend First Tier Exterior. (p.s., we specifically didn't really care if the color should be a perfect match to the old stucco)

Despite having met with eight different contractors I ultimately felt most comfortable with and decided to proceed with Miguel and First Tier. Overall I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. The project was completed in two days and the quality of work seems to be of high standard. I have since received many compliments on the updated roof and will continue to recommend Miguel and First Tier to my friends and family.

We'd had ongoing leaks that multiple contractors couldn't diagnose, but he found every entry point, explained the causes clearly, and fixed them for good. He didn't just patch things. He opened up the walls, showed me the damaged framing, and replaced it with proper carpentry. Then built everything back the right way. New tar paper, modern blue skin waterproofing, rainscreen system, proper flashing, weep screeds, metal lath, the works. He kept me in the loop the whole way and handled absolutely everything. Permits, scaffolding, inspections, cleanup. It was genuinely stress-free. The finish is flawless, and the house looks better than it ever did. Neighbors keep stopping to say how good it looks. It's rare to find someone this knowledgeable, thorough, and transparent. If you need rot repair, stucco, or leak diagnosis, don't look elsewhere!

I prefer to keep the materials the closest the what was originally used for our home. Seamus was able to just that. He used wooden lath and plaster that blended right in to the rest of the wall. The result was great. He was also friendly and professional. Thanks Seamus!

Unfortunately, after a miscommunication about part of the project, which I thought we had resolved amicably (I compensated him for the materials he had already used), he later admitted he was upset and had been purposely avoiding my follow up communication. He left the original job on Friday saying he would return the following week to finish a few remaining items. After that, I spent over a month trying to get a response, with little to no communication and no explanation for this treatment. When I finally expressed my frustration, he admitted he had intentionally been ignoring me because of the earlier misunderstanding and offered to send someone to finish the outstanding tasks, "if that's what I was upset about." That level of unprofessionalism was far more disappointing than the few remaining tasks on the project. Misunderstandings happen, but they shouldn't result in giving a customer the silent treatment and leaving a job unfinished. I cannot recommend someone who responds to conflict by avoiding communication completely.
