We are Youngstedt's customers in the Twin Cities, and I was relieved to see a name I could trust. After dropping his car in Eau Claire and getting him home, we got a call promptly the next morning and updates throughout the day as the shop diagnosed the problem. Since we were so far away - they could have taken us for anything - a new transmission, new alternator, you name it. Youngstedt's was honest about the repairs - turns out it was spark plugs and an air filter. Maintenance that was due in 10,000 miles, but advanced because of the weather conditions in a Midwest snowstorm. We were well on our way less than 24 hours after the car trouble, the repairs were quick, honest, and thorough (three test drives and they showed us the parts that were replaced), and they not only earned our business, they earned our trust. If were weren't already, we are now Youngstedt's customers for life.

If you don't make your appointment online or over the phone a few days before the weekend, you may be out of luck since they're pretty booked by the weekend. Full synthetic oil change took less than 1 hour and they were flexible with my appt since I called and said I would be an hour late to my appt. Total came to around $70 for a full synthetic oil/filter change but they also have coupons online and in their flyers for $10 off which made this one of the cheapest and quickest places to get a job like that done. The waiting room was comfortable, free wifi, and free drinks (coffee, water, tea) for people to enjoy in there. All in all, a good experience and price that is hard to bear for any of your car needs!

don't bother. these guys will screw you. it doesn't say family Automotive because they're aimed at…read morehelping a family this is family Automotive because it is a family working there. that aside these guys claim to do everything including the tow but what they really do is they tow your car and they give you an unrealistic shot at redeeming yourself then they'll strike up a deal and buy your car for scrap and wave the fees that they incurred. for those of you that are still a bit lost this is called a racket. they claim to do everything but when they received my vehicle which just needed a fuel pump they told me that it's going to need thousands of dollars of repairs and they can't do it because... and get this... they can't do it because they're too busy fixing other cars. choosing between a rock and a hard place I was forced to scrap my car for a measly $100 [and it has give cats] because I couldn't afford to pay them for the tow. however I had brought my car there with a grant from a business in Chippewa falls that agreed to pay for parts and labor no matter what it cost. I tried to get family Automotive to repair my vehicle no matter what the cost and yet again they said they couldn't do it because they'd have to get the service done somewhere else. sounds like a scam because it's a scam. now keep in mind I'm homeless and that's why I had the Grant from this business in Chippewa to repair my vehicle I chose family Automotive because they had competitive prices which did me no good in the end except I lost the place where I was staying which is my car for $100 when all it needed was a fuel pump. this is not a auto repair shop, this is a tow service and scrap yard. don't waste your time!
