I had my wedding here in September and there's very little positive I have left to say for this…read more'business'. The Venue was somewhere we initially felt fit perfectly for us. The owners seemed very nice and helpful, the space was nice and open as we wanted, the options to add on other wedding necessities made arranging this wedding easier, and the price was comparable for everything we got. However, I hadn't even noticed when we signed on in December, we hadn't ever been offered a signed contract. This should have been our first red flag. All agreements were purely verbal other than the invoices we received. We signed on for a rehearsal the night before to go over with family and friends, then set up with our coordinator. Less than a week before the wedding, they notified us they needed to change the rehearsal time to another day as they had booked something else. We scrambled last minute to find a way to make it work and from this point onward, one of the owners seemed to not want anything else to do with us. The other owner worked with us as much as she could to make up for this inconvenience and be helpful, like throwing in extra amenities and giving us more time the morning of the wedding to set up. This in no way made up for the other owner's attitude towards us shifting, though. It was as though WE were the ones in the wrong for their mistake. The day of the wedding, we had been escorted out of a side room we were told we could utilize all day, which led to panic during the setup for after the ceremony into our reception. My mother's wedding dress got misplaced during this panic and we have never been able to recover it. We then were told to hurry up and leave over two hours earlier than they informed us we were able to stay for. This is the time slot we paid for and didn't even get all of it. The DJ they supplied didn't even get my husband's NAME right (his name is Jared, he called him Craig most of the night). One of our guests left her car in the parking lot overnight after the wedding and the next morning she found someone broke into it and slept in her car. It's insane to me how much unprofessional behavior we experienced for how much we paid them. I loved the look of this place and the woman who owns it seems to have at least a little sense of professional courtesy face to face, but we never should have chosen this place. Save your money and look for a better business.

Not at all true with this Ambassador Hotel. Located in the historic area of downtown Wichita, this Ambassador Hotel is located in what appears to be the newly emerging biomedical campus under construction next door. The portico and lobby are very inviting and decorated to give you the full holiday experience. The front desk attendant wasn't exactly charming at 11pm but she wasn't rude either. She was a bit distracted with her night audit work but got me checked in and upgraded and off to my room in short order. I had room 1010 and I would highly recommend this room any time you stay. This is a multi-room suite with a full living room, a dressing suite with dual vanities and a jacuzzi tub, separate shower and a master bedroom that was quite large with a walk-in closet. So much space for one person! I contemplated cancelling my other reservations and stay there all week, but I didn't. Lots of windows allowing sunlight in the morning and a mini bar with snacks if you have the munchies and want to pay top dollar for the option to eat and drink at your leisure. The hotel has a restaurant and bar and I believe it seems they are well-reviewed although I don't visit either. Parking is in the multi-story parking deck adjacent to the building and likely serves multiple businesses in the area. I think it was $18, no biggee. The only thing that I was cringing over was the sofa. Lighter colored fabric showed off some definite staining that made me want to avoid at all costs. Everything else seemed clean and well cared for. I'm going to give it a four star review for now and try it again another time to see if it deserves more.

From the moment we checked in, we were treated as though we were the only ones in the hotel. The only negative is the sound of construction in the morning with a new biomedical facility, but they have phenomenal sound machines in each room to help. The room we chose had a beautiful bath, and they provided bath salts, which was so kind we will be back for another staycation

It's a way for artist to show off their art and with the possibilities of us consumers to buy too. I never knew this Hudson and its surrounding "galleries" had existed. Nor did I know that was commerce street, a street that is on the outskirts of old town that is strictly aim towards the Art. Pretty cool concept I may add, it kinda reminds me of New Orleans's Royal Street. This street showcases old, new unique art ranging from photography to paintings. Ok back to talking about the Hudson. It's an old brick building nestled on the south part of the art strip that boasts an rustic urban feel. Kinda cool because this could've been a old torn down. But instead was renovated and made into a venue that host many events ranging from art show cases to weddings. Note: the Hudson is not an art gallery but instead a venue! Let's not forget about their urban outdoor garden. Pretty cool concept. You just have to check it out yourself.
