I accidentally drove to the OTHER Santa Ana location but was able to get to the right one, this one in Friday traffic right before closing. Like, ten minutes before closing. He got my receipt printed, some coupons placed in my hand and a battery in my arm in short time and I was on my way back into the traffic to go home. While the battery ended up not being the issue with our Internet (boo) my experience here was great (yay) and I plan on brining a dead car battery to them if it doesn't charge up correctly in the future.

Craig (I believe was his name) was the first gentleman to greet and assist me. I told him my car make and model and that I needed to replace my battery since I hit my 3-year mark on it and he instantly let me know it would cost $105 (which included installation by the way; what a good deal)! Not only that, he and Juan got started on it right away and it only took about 10 minutes to get it replaced! By the end of it, I had to pay with two cards and Craig kindly only charged me a total of $103.90, I had to give them a 5 star review! I used to believe the hype about Interstate Batteries being top of the line. I don't anymore. I had…read morealready begun to see them backing off on their warranties and essentially not backing their products. The last straw was the motorcycle battery I bought 14 months ago that came with only a 6 month warranty. It will no longer hold a charge. When I asked the guy at the counter if $25+ a month for a motorcycle battery was acceptable, he seemed OK with that. Even though I got 14 months out of it, that's still $10-$15 a month which he thought was a bargain. No offer to prorate on a new one for me either. He told me that this would not be acceptable to him if he were on my side of the counter, but that it should be OK for me. I told him that this was an unacceptable amount of risk to me and that I could not buy a replacement battery from him today. Nor could I buy a car battery from him for my two cars that will need new batteries in the near future. He said that the computer wouldn't let him rectify the situation and that there was nothing he could do. I've been told that Interstate now makes their batteries in Mexico instead of by Johnson Controls. The Johnson Controls manufacturing facility and warehouse on Kimberly Avenue in Fullerton has been closed for quite a while. He probably did me a favor anyway. I got a new Duracel battery at Batteries Plus with a two year warranty. I took advantage of some Labor Day sales and got it for 35-40% less than what Interstate would charge. I gave Interstate a chance to retain my business and they failed just like the battery they sold me. Spend my money well because that is all you are getting.

No explanation, just a genuinely nice gesture that definitely earned my future business. I ended up paying about $123 out the door for all 10 watches, which works out to an average of just $12.30 per battery. Friendly, fast, honest, and efficient. I'll definitely be back the next time my watches need servicing.
