Decided to give in to peer pressure to go camping in Pismo on a holiday weekend. I have a curse when it comes to Pismo. Long story short, nothing goes right for me... Ok, this time it started early. Plan was to pack Thursday to leave o'dark thirty Friday morning. Thursday morning, truck won't start. Battery issues. My Dad comes by and I tell him how I have to jump my truck all weekend because the dealership will not get the job done in time. The local auto parts don't have the batteries or only has one (I need 2). He recommended Batteries and Bulbs. He said they had his batteries. I expressed the pain it would be to take the batteries out and hitch a ride (he was just passing through while working). He told me 'they will assist me swapping batteries." He called and handed me the phone. I spoke to Jacob. I was short and irritated and he was very professional the entire time. They had the batteries I needed! I drove over a few hours later. I walked in and met Jacob. He was again very pleasant and professional. He rang me up and I asked about help swapping batteries (it was windy and rainy out FYI). He said it was no problem and NEVER seemed bothered . He came out and went right to work. I helped a bit but it got up the point he took completely over. I held an umbrella over him (the least I could do). He was very professional, polite, respectful and a role model to what a young man should be. Hard working and with an extremely positive attitude. I Went to have my iPad battery replaced in Turlock. I Was told 24 hours. Here I am , almost a month later picking it up in Modesto. Apparently, Right after I brought my tablet in ..... the store was shut down. My tablet was then relocated to Modesto. I was contacted a week later to inform you that it was moved. It's in took additional time for them to fix it. I then had to drive 40 miles round trip to retrieve it. I will never be a customer nor recommend this place to anybody. Extremely disappointed. After this experience, I'm not surprised if this franchise goes out of business as well. I had to wait 20 minutes to be helped. Expensive to recycle here! I stopped by the Modesto location to recycle six - 4 foot fluorescent light bulbs. According to the sales person, the cost to recycle these bulbs is $1.25 per foot for each bulb! The total cost to recycle six - 4 foot lights would be $30. Amazing customer service! Had issue with my key for my Dodge Ram and stopped in almost at closing time. The technician who helped me went above and beyond to take care of me! I was not aware that this place could fix phones until I seen a commercial on tv. I had an issue with my iPhone 6 plus not charging and everywhere I called they could not give me an answer as to what was going on with the phone but that the service would be 100+... I walked in with the idea that I was going to have to go get a replaced phone BUT the manager, Shannon, of the Modesto location actually told us it wasn't what other places had assumed... long story short my iPhone works better than ever, charges faster and the battery lasts longer... the customer service was EXCELLENT! If you enjoy poor customer service, this is the place for you! i was referred here because of a broken phone under my Square Trade warranty. I called into the store and spoke to a representative, she said no problem bring in the phone and we'll replace the battery and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't I'll have to send the phone back to Square Trade. The same day I received a call stating the battery has been replaced but the phone is still not working and needs to be shipped to Square Trade. I went to the store the next day to pick up the phone and the manager there said nothing was done to the phone because if the phone doesn't turn on they won't touch the phone. I told the manager what the previous representative stated that they had replaced the battery. The manager said no, and they did not touch the phone. I told the manager that this is poor customer service and she replied by stating it was not her fault. I told her ultimately it was her fault because her employees lack the necessary training to properly disclose what they can and cannot due working with a Square Trade warranty. I asked her for the notes on the phone and she just handed me my broken phone and asked me to leave. What a huge waste of time and lack of communication. read more

I was looking for a Battery for my Harley Davidson Touring bike, all the local auto parts stores only stock shady crap batteries, and the Harley dealership charges two arms two legs your first born and a couple of pets for the stock replacement. These guys are very reasonable, the young lady at the counter was awesome, friendly, KNOWLEDGEABLE! And very helpful. If you follow me, or have seen my other posts, you know good customer service is extremely important to me, and this place has it down. Was in the store for less than 10 minutes, taking some of that time for her to hook it up to a tester to make sure it was a good battery. Fellow bikers you need to give this place a try, especially you fellow Harley Owners, as we all know as soon as they put the Harley logo on something you pay a huge price, the battery I got was $40 cheaper than the one at the dealer, and a two year way instead of 1 year. It took two trips to get the battery for my iPhone replaced. I walk with a cane and am recovering from a broken femur. I stood at the counter for 20 minutes the first time while a young man, obviously new to the job, went through an entire two page form checking the functioning of my phone item by item. After all that was done the tech came out to tell me it would take 10 minutes to replace the battery. I told her I would wait in my car because standing for 30 minutes was too hard for me. She said she would bring the item out to me. She came back a few minutes later and said they didn't have my battery in stock. They promised to call me, and they did a couple of days later. When I went in today I informed inform the young man that the phone functionality had been tested just two days prior. He replied that they had to do it again for liability purposes. I said I don't know that I can stand here another 20 minutes. He sneered at me and said it doesn't take 20 minutes. And truly it did not take him 20 minutes, but it most certainly did the first time I was in the store. That's not really great customer service when you basically call the customer a liar. I really didn't appreciate the tone of the employees. They seem to treat all the customers in a condescending manner. They need a little customer service training in my opinion. Ok. I purchased 2, count em TWO $300 X2Power AGM batteries for my Ford F350 Turbo Diesel. They do not carry those in stock and they had to be shipped directly from manufacturer. They told me two weeks. So, time passed and I finally got the call to come pick them up. Great!!! :) So, I go down there and guess what? I am told one of the TWO $300 batteries that I just had shipped directly from the manufacturer - was bad. Really? The dummies who make em don't even check their batteries BEFORE shipment? Incompetent. And "Batteries Plus Bulbs" should have checked them BEFORE telling me to "come on down" and get em, as well. WTH???? How inept can they be! The gal who originally sold them to me was ok and not at fault, as was the guy who served me when I went and picked them, er I mean it up. But management are definitely "dropping the ball" not making damn sure shipping and receiving was doing their job/s. I should have been told about this before going to their store. They should have apologized before seeing my face after telling me they were BOTH there and ready. I was kinda pissed so I took the one new one of the good batteries and turned in my one core and will get the other new one next week and turn in the other old core then. I may give an update. Went in for a battery for my husbands scan tool. Shannon helped as soon as we walked in the door. The battery was a special order and they only had one in stock( because someone never picked it up). Tested it out in his tool and it didn't work. She let us test the tool all different kind of ways to make sure it was the battery that was bad. Then tested the battery itself and found it was dead. She charged it at no charge and was very sweet and kind the whole time. We also got the battery for half the price it would have cost my husband to buy it off the tool truck. I had an issue with a key fob for my Honda Civic. I had dropped it too many times. It was not working. It was not factory installed. It was a real hassle opening the door locks with the key, manually set in the locks by hand to lock the car. Robert, at Batteries Plus, was able to open up the key fob and saw that it was broken. He magically soldered the broken piece and my car alarm works. This will hold me over until I can get a new alarm system as it was installed by some guy in his garage in Modesto and he has since moved away LOL always great service from the store.
