Great service replaced iphone battery in 20 minutes for half the cost of other places

I brought my Timex Ironman watch in to get a new battery. I've had the battery replaced in this watch many times, but never before at this Batteries Plus location. We'd recently moved to a different state, so I had to go to a different store. I took my watch home and re-set the time and date, and put the watch in my jewelry tray. A few days later, I was heading to the pool to swim. I use the watch when I'm swimming. It's water resistant to 100 M (328 feet), and is specifically made for water sports. When I was done with my swim, I looked at my watch. The display was completely gray and brown, and there were water bubbles floating in the display behind the crystal! I immediately went back to the Batteries Plus since it's right near my gym, and the guy told me that because I wore it in the pool it's not his problem! Oh my God, it's a water resistant watch, and it says so right on the front of the watch! It's intended to get wet and be submerged in a pool! I had to argue with the guy to at least give me a refund for the battery price... As it was, I was paying for them to have ruined my watch. I did get my twentyish dollars back for the battery, but I'm out a $65 watch! Will I ever go back there? Never! UPDATE 5/10/25: The day after posting this review, "Frank M." from Batteries Plus replied to my review asking me to get in touch with them about improving my experience. (You can see that reply below.) Based on the email address, I believe that was someone at the corporate level of Batteries Plus. I sent an email to the address provided, asking them to reimburse me for the watch that was ruined. A few days later I received an email from Russell, the store manager at the Geneva location, asking for photos of the watch so that he could get the model number for the watch and replace it! I'd just recently thrown the watch away, but was able to retrieve it from my office wastebasket, and send him photos of the watch along with the user's guide that had identifying information and a long list of the watch's features and functions. Luckily, I still had the user guide from when I purchased the watch and didn't even think of that until Russell asked for the model number. Unfortunately, as I'd already discovered because I'd been looking for a replacement, that particular watch was no longer available. I gave Russell a couple of other options for a substitute and he graciously replaced the watch which I received this afternoon. I am upgrading my review from one star to four stars. (A five star rating would have been if my original watch hadn't been ruined, and if I didn't have to leave a negative Yelp review to get to as satisfactory resolution.) But, all's well that ends well. It's nice to know that this company will own up to their mistakes. read more

I went into batteries plus because I know that they put batteries into watches and I was hoping that maybe they also sold watch bands. Devin came to help me, and he even went through the trouble of taking the back off of my watch to see if he could find a serial number so that I could order a new watchband on the Internet. He went so very much out of his way to help me. I was so impressed and will tell anybody who will listen how wonderful the store was and the service that I received. read more

Great service. This is the place to go for specialty batteries. They provide individualized service. I will be back.

Who in their right mind would take any type of luxury watch to a place like battery plus versus a reputable jewelry store unbelievable. Battery plus has always done right by me from car batteries batteries for the garage door opener's there is four car remotes specialty flashlights etc. read more

We had some vehicle batteries go dead and they did their best to get the batteries charged and ready with in 24 hours which was awesome!! Super nice, very friendly!!! They even charged them for free. It was awesome! And carried them out for me!!! It was. Great experience and if I need batteries charged I'll bring them there!!! read more

I dropped my iphone at work and the screen and LCD were completely done. There were black splotches and glass pieces missing from my phone and a rainbow line of death going vertically though the screen. The phone was unusable. I made an appointment online 2 hours before they closed and they got me in the same day. The phone is beautiful, works better than it did when I first got it. They do amazing work here. The employees are also really nice. Would definitely recommend. Total cost was 155 (including a screen protector). read more

I needed to have my battery replaced in my Raymond Weil watch. It was the first replacement battery for the piece. I went and had the store put in a new lifetime battery and left satisfied. One week later the back cover fell off the watch onto the floor. The watch still ran perfectly so I just returned to the store for them to put it back in. After attempting to do that they just gave up and told me they couldn't help. Not a sorry or we can help you find someplace to repair it. Needless to say I am thoroughly underwhelmed by their lack of customer service and concern for my watch. I will not darken their doorway again and make sure I let my friends know of my experience with this store. read more

We took a watch into Batteries Plus in Geneva where we had the watch battery replaced once before with one that had a lifetime warranty. We took the watch back to have the battery replaced again. The battery was replaced but the clerk told my husband that the back was too tight. They were the ones that had put the back on the last time the battery was changed. When they tried to change the battery one of the watch straps broke off; the clerk took the watch back to his manager and he broke the other strap off. They were the ones who originally changed the battery and put the back on that they said was put on too tightly. They claimed the strap was warn as well. No sorry, no what can we do to fix this, just handed him the watch face and the straps. The manager would not come out from the back of the store but let the clerk handle the issue. I have been to this store several times to buy LED can light trims, they always have deals going on so the prices are good. The lights are much higher quality than the ones you will find at the hardware stores. The customer service is very good at the store, they will special order anything you want if they don't have it in stock. read more

Went there for assistance and repair for my Iphone. What a great experience. Along with fixing my IPhone, I was treated with great concern for my problem and the service was exceptional. Great team and friendly service. Batteries Plus Bulbs in Geneva is now one of my favs. read more
