They claimed to be able to change a cell phone battery. I took my Nan. They took them over an hour, she took the screensaver off, charge me for a new one and put it on so poorly that it affected how my phone operated.. I took it to Apple. They figured it out. Fix it quickly and told me never to go there again. Batteries plus charged me $130 and Apple would've charged me 80 I ended up having to buy a new screensaver anyway from Apple and they put it on so the whole thing ended up costing me that 130+ $40 I called batteries plus they did not answer the phone nor did they call me back. I told them I would be happy to pay for the battery but not the installation since she messed it up, haven't heard back from them thank goodness Apple got my phone working well. read more

What a waste of time...... When in the battery Plus for a car battery and also a super bright flashlight.... The young black kid helping me was very helpful.... But on the other hand the older woman he was asking for help was questioning him why why why do you need the flashlight.... I tried to explain to her that I wanted to buy one and I asked her why don't you want to make a sale.... Maybe I was a little upset they didn't have a battery I needed but it was a total waste of time. Former franchisee was doing it against company regulations, and now that we're corporate-owned, we'll be much stricter about it." And the absolute pleasure that this guy said that, like the former franchisee was a war criminal, was just priceless. So, to recap: A store that sells merchandise you can get for half the price at Wal-Mart or Target won't perform a somewhat unique service that would retain customers because of "corporate policy." I definitely regret getting my phone fixed here it was expensive just for me to receive a cheap screen on my phone when I got it fixed I always double tap the screen when it turns off to turn it on & that doesn't work anymore even my face unlock has trouble reading my face nothing works the same after being "fixed" I also bought a screen protector which they included that when my phone got fixed crazy part is I dropped my phone again the actual phone screen broke & the screen protector didn't like how cheap is the screen that you guys carry the screen protector didn't break but the actual screen did now I know they don't carry actual iPhone parts yes I'm aware of that but I just got a different iPhone fixed at a different spot it was not Apple either but the screen does not feel as cheap as the one I got here & double tapping works perfectly fine EVERYTHING works perfectly LIKE IT USED so I would recommend go ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR CHEAP ASS SCREENS THAT DONT EVEN WORK PROPERLY there is nothing worse than feeling like you just wasted your money for nothing it was not cheap either read more

I always come to Batteries Plus for any battery outside the normal AA or AAA battery because they have everything and are competitively priced, but I pass a few retailers along the route from my house to there. We came in to get some Li-ion AAA for our smart thermostat because normal Cd-ion batteries die too fast. When we entered, there wasn't an employee in sight, then after finding the batteries we needed, we waited another 2 min for an employee to check us out. He came out and I asked if there were batteries that lasted longer than Li-ion. He said he didn't think so and that was about all of his customer service skills. For me, customer service is key to any business and when it comes to batteries, I can go to a plethora of retailers. The service I received this last visit was sub par, so I don't think I will necessarily come here again. read more

The only reason I am giving this location such a low rating is because I went into this location to get batteries put in my watches. I should have noticed the red flag when the first gentleman that I spoke with let me know he could not do it if it was worth over a couple hundred dollars which I thought was odd then his manager told him yes he could so he proceeded to the back room with both of my watches and was back there for at least 15 minutes then he came out and got his manager or team leader and they went in the back for about 5 more minutes which they then came out to give me one of my watches with a new battery only in one and the other they said they did not have the battery...? So it took 20 mins to change a pop back watch...okay. Until I got in the car and noticed they forgot to put one of the screws back into the watch they said they did not have the battery for. I went back in and let the manager/team lead that they forgot a screw and he did not look surprised and the other guy would not even look or speak to me. So the manager went in the back for 5 mins and came back with a different screw he put in and took down my info and said he would order the battery and the screw to replace and was very apologetic saying he would contact me when they came in....needless to say over a month later I have not heard anything from them and actually I don't think I want them touching any of my devices after this experience. If you like batteries that don't last a week and when you return them for a replacement or to fix, the guy from behind the counter, comes out with his fists raised and shoves you - this is the perfect spot for you!( franchise owner - look at the video in the store for proof (around 2 pm on 11/23/2020) Obviously, I was no angle either. Here's why I wasn't in a good mood: I use to go here under and was helped by the former manager who did a great job of communicating and assisting. Recently, I went to this location over a week ago - they couldn't find the correct battery so they told me they could order it and have it in the next day from a near by store. Came back the next day - no battery -they forgot. Over promise and under deliver - not a good philosophy. Then I asked the salesman if he could call the store back that had it - so I didn't waste time driving down there. After about 5 minutes of waiting on hold - I left him my cell to call me once he made contact - he dropped the ball on that too - no call. Fortunately, when I got there they had the battery. After just over a week the battery wouldn't take a charge..so I headed back to this Aurora location - only to be told it was bad battery and I could get a refund(WITH AN ATTITUDE). No offer of - let me see if we got anymore in - didn't even look. No offer to call another store - just you can have a refund. I asked for the manager - same canned response of horrible service and I told him so. He got pissed and told me to leave. So I called him an fing idiot and he comes out from behind the counter all crazy with his fists raised and overly enraged - then shoves me. He's either operating on a higher voltage via some illegal substance or has a emotional disorder. I guess ownership doesn't screen their employees or does a poor job of it. This location is also a franchise - so there is very little oversight of it. I wasted over 2 plus hours dealing with incompetent reps with poor attitudes - for something that should of been 15 minutes in the first place. Step 1 - look for battery (5 minutes). step 2 order battery and have it delivered (5 minutes) sell battery (5 minutes)...but no - didnt do step 2. So I wasted 2 plus hours going back in forth with the joke of a biz for a battery that doesn't work. I guess PLUS -means the extra time and effort you will have to deal with. I never write reviews - but some record needs to kept for the next time this same guy loses it on another customer. One would think that a place called Batteries Plus would be able to install a battery correctly, but one would be wrong! My wife took one of our garage door openers to get a new battery but when she got home, found that it was still not working. After removing the battery, I found that it had been installed upside-down and appeared to be dead! We took the remote & battery back whereupon the clerk said "I won't even charge you for the battery" seemingly forgetting that we had already paid for it! When asked about a discount or refund for having to make a 2nd trip, he offered a measly 10% off, citing his inability to do more w/o a manager present. My experiences at this location have been hit or miss over the years. The store is generally busy so it may be hard, at times, to get a clerk's attention. I stopped in today and received great service from Richard. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my battery, presented a couple of options and gave some tips on how to prolong the life of the new battery. I want to thank the Aurora store for their superior and competent handling of a customer service problem they did not create. It went like this: I wanted to buy a motorcycle battery, ordered it online from the West Colfax location, showed up the next morning and the store was still closed after the opening time posted. Took about an hour for someone to show up. The store did not have the battery after all. Referred me to the North Federal location. Stood in line and was passed up twice for phone repairs before getting served. Computers didn't work right, could not get the transaction done for fifteen minutes. Finally completed it, but upon installing the battery discovered it was cold dead. The clerk had been rude throughout. Decided as a last resort to go to another location - the Aurora store. They checked the battery out and replaced it. Very good experience. Why do these locations vary so much? Franchisee issues? Not good, but I highly recommend this location as being quite superior to the rest. Go there first for the best experience. read more
