My Tag Heuer Aqua racer watch never really worked well. It's Auto winding feature never worked from day one, when it was purchased at Jared's as an Anniversary gift to me 15 years ago. After speaking with a smooth talking receptionist at Jared's about what a fine timepiece it is and how they have to mail it to Switzerland to the factory to be diagnosed and repaired at a cost of $500 plus, I knew something had to give and began my Yelp search for a reputable watch repair shop. And so here we are. I found this awesome little watch shop just off of I25 on Arapahoe. As I walked into the lobby and was studying the Tenant listing, an older gentleman came in and after a brief discussion concurred that he and I were going to the same place and that he has been going here for years with excellent results. Long and short of it, James repaired my watch for a fraction of what the Fluffer-Jared people were offering and I will be gifting it to my son. Well that was a bold face lie, so I had to call these guys to come out. He set up and fixed my grandfather clock, showed me what he did, showed me how to best keep it in working order. Couple weeks later I pushed the pendulum too hard and it came out of its track. Well they back their work with a 90 day warranty so he just came out right away, fixed it, told me what I did wrong, installed something that will help prevent that from happening and told me what NOT to do. The man is very quiet, doesn't say much, but he definitely speaks through his work, and when he does speak it's to teach you and help you with your clock. I will definitely use these guys again if needed and will refer them to my friends and family. Great businessman and professional.

Enjoyed looking at their watches and jewelry while I waited for the battery to be replaced. I learned about laboratory made diamonds. Wow, had no idea such a thing existed. Same properties and ratings as real diamonds but made in a lab versus from natural diamonds found in the earth. I was told they are significantly less expensive, but the uncertain thing is how well they will retain their value. They are nicer than zirconians, but why not just get the real thing? I am sure I will be back in the future. Others there were looking at buying I think earrings, another looking for a new watch band, Nice place with super nice people. What is there not to like? It was a pleasant surprise and I very much appreciated Cherry Creek Watch Co's transparency, they very easily could have taken advantage of me and taken my money. I was doing some spring cleaning and found an old Omega watch my dad had given me. I couldn't find any information about the watch online. I also tried contacting online watch stores, but none of them were helpful. I eventually brought my watch into a local area watch store, but they had, for some reason, forgotten about the appointment. They also wanted $150 for a watch evaluation. However, upon entering Cherry Creek Watch Company, I was immediately greeted. The horologists, Gyles and Nick, immediately got to work on evaluating my watch. They found the model name and value of my watch. They also took apart the watch and showed me the internals, as well as testing the timing of the watch. Moreover, they re-sized the watch for me. All this was done free of charge. I'm personally not a fan or collector of watches. However, the top-notch service provided to me demonstrates that Cherry Creek Watch Company is a business you can trust and depend on.

A Omega Marine chronometer - very obscure piece. I take it to a high end jeweler They send it to Zurich because there the only ones who can work on it. about a year and $400 later I have a new battery which promptly lasts 6 months. So I take it to fast fix and say "doubt you can work on this" Watch guy says I have heard of this but never worked on one let me take a look. So off to Perrys for lunch. 40 minutes later your Omega is done. You opted for the lifetime battery thats $70 . This watch only runs 5-6 month at a time. Brought it in recently as it was dead again. Lunch at Perry's and its working - new battery - no charge. So watch number 2 a 20 year old Rado made of synthetic sapphire/ceramic composite. I manage to break the custom clasp messing with it myself. Tiny parts fly across the room disappearing in my carpet for eternity. Off to two high end Jewlers. - We wont touch that send it to Rado in Switzerland. Be prepared for a huge bill. So on a whim I take it to FF and say what about this? This thing obviously spooked them as they are extremely hard to work on without damaging the bracelet that can cost in the 4 digits to replace. So I say take a look and f you can fix it go for it - entire staff sees this as a challenge. People are looking at it under microscopes to figure out how the original clasped worked. Gauntlet down - back to Perrys. I get a call 90 minutes later well we managed to repair it but we want to make sure your good with the cost of doing so. I as quoted a very reasonable figure that was an order of magnitude less than Rado. Whats shocking is there are no stock parts for this watch. They literally manufactured a tiny compression spring/rod with sub millimeter precision. Why? Because its a interesting piece and we appreciate your enthusiasm for fine watches and a challenge too. To people who say batteries cost a buck why is it so much. Well the sutures the surgeon put in cost a few cents plus some plasma anesthetic etc. Why was a transplant $300000 because there's years of training, supplies electricity, building a hospital and paying its staff. I feel like I got a surgical team on my watch complete with tiny instruments, microscopes, laser cutters and well trained personnel. Do the math - in my case it was WELL worth it. Only the dial markers were reattached, and now there is no longer time to have the watch repaired before I need to wear it for an event. I could have had it repaired elsewhere in the same amount of time if they had let me know it would not be possible to repair it while it was in their possession. I'm honestly super upset to come back to pay for my watch to be repaired and learn that it still doesn't work. I didn't assume that keeping time was part of the service, I specifically asked for it to be able to keep time as part of the work order. No one called me, no one communicated that this would not be done. Instead they just played with my watch while real professionals could have been repairing it. Very upsetting.
