Specialty shops like this are few and far between, but my family has our clock serviced here for at…read moreleast the past 30 years. The problem all started when my dad died, the clock was built by his dad and passed down to me. Since they are one of the last shops that work on grandfather clocks and do good work they are very busy and you can expect to wait at least a couple months before you get your clock back depending on what's wrong with it. Their prices are fair and you can trust that they won't try to upsell you, only cleaning, oiling, repairing, and in some cases replacing worn and broken parts. Also, if you're in the market for an old fashioned clock, be it a grandfather, cuckoo, or vintage, come here first, I think you will be impressed.

Well that was a bold face lie, so I had to call these guys to come out. He set up and fixed my grandfather clock, showed me what he did, showed me how to best keep it in working order. Couple weeks later I pushed the pendulum too hard and it came out of its track. Well they back their work with a 90 day warranty so he just came out right away, fixed it, told me what I did wrong, installed something that will help prevent that from happening and told me what NOT to do. The man is very quiet, doesn't say much, but he definitely speaks through his work, and when he does speak it's to teach you and help you with your clock. I will definitely use these guys again if needed and will refer them to my friends and family. Great businessman and professional.

Enjoyed looking at their watches and jewelry while I waited for the battery to be replaced. I learned about laboratory made diamonds. Wow, had no idea such a thing existed. Same properties and ratings as real diamonds but made in a lab versus from natural diamonds found in the earth. I was told they are significantly less expensive, but the uncertain thing is how well they will retain their value. They are nicer than zirconians, but why not just get the real thing? I am sure I will be back in the future. Others there were looking at buying I think earrings, another looking for a new watch band, Nice place with super nice people. What is there not to like? I didn't assume that keeping time was part of the service, I specifically asked for it to be able to keep time as part of the work order. No one called me, no one communicated that this would not be done. Instead they just played with my watch while real professionals could have been repairing it. Very upsetting.

Their "substitute effort" required multiple trips and phone calls on my part, taking time I didn't have. He just shrugged his shoulders. I told him I would be lodging a complaint with the BBB, and that he had lost a customer. He replied, "We won't accept your business here any more either."
