I understand why this place gets such great ratings. If you've been to the antique stores around…read morethe Denver area and get tired of the same old uninteresting stuff, then you need to come to this place. It has something for just about anyone - jewelry, glassware, hats, purses, lots of gently used clothes, collectables of all kinds, odd, unique items, furniture, fossils, games, electronics, typewriters, magazines, comic books, and on and on. The great feature of this store is it's organized and not a dumping ground for old unwanted stuff. I looked through their vinyl records which were categorized alphabetically and unlike most antique stores where the majority of albums are '60s Country & Western has-beens, there were actually classic albums I wanted to buy. There are so many cool things at this place I can only explain it as a Meow Wolf where you can buy the cool things you see. Parking is right on the street in front and I encourage you to check it out.

My favorite items were the vast collection of typewriters but there was so much to see and look at. I wish I lived locally so I could bring so much of it home!

Upon learning I was a fan of vintage/thrift shopping, a friend suggested we check out Heirlooms…read moreAntique Mall. I mostly frequent the Brass Armadillo and some shops on Colfax, and admittedly didn't know this gem was waiting for me in Aurora. We went on a Saturday late-morning, and were greeted cheerfully and with an excellent explanation of the store. We were offered help as we browsed the locked cases upstairs, and we ambled the huge sprawling basement footprint as well. The sheer size of this place was impressive. There are a variety of item types (records, costume jewelry, taxidermy, kitchen goods, clothing, upcycled decor, etc.) and aesthetic styles, so really something for everyone. We found some particularly fun vendors in the basement. It felt like it could be easy to get carried away here, in the best possible way. Currently, many (most?) of the vendors have a holiday discount in place too, and we managed to walk away with some well priced treasures. Definitely stop by if you like the thrill of the hunt, and I'm confident the folks at Heirlooms Antique Mall will take care of you.

It may look like just another store front among other businesses from bustling Havana St, but I can assure you, it's more than what meets the eye. I was introduced to this spot via a Yelp event and have been back every single year ever since because inside the two massive levels, are some of the most unique antiques, vintage finds and interesting pieces - yet to be discovered! Various collectors and vintage sellers alike, sell odds and ends throughout the space. Upon entry, it can be overwhelming, but the friendly faces at the front are quick to assist - aka provide directions, sale options and open any cases you may need access to. Very helpful and friendly, indeed! My husband and I ventured here to look around and easily spent 2 hours looking at each booth, finding things that piqued our interest and ended up coming home with us! It's almost impossible to get see it all, so when you see something you like, snag it, because it may not be there again! Inventory turns over fast! Worth a stop in!!

A hidden South Broadway gem indeed…read more The Annex is located next to Watson & Company, and Watson & Company just so happens to have a space in The Annex as well. The Annex has 4-5 vendors inside selling various vintage items for your home. There is furniture, jewelry, ornaments, books, vintage dog outfits, mirrors and so much more. There are some wonderful things to be had here, but you must be brave enough to look around and really think about what would work in your place. Don't just buy to buy, think about where it would work in your place. In the back of The Annex there is a section where everything is 50% off. This is where we found the most perfect ruffled Christmas Tree dog outfit for a friend of ours. It even came with a hat. It was so cute and ugly that we just had to have it. I will be back after the holidays to hunt through the racks for some of those ornaments in the hope that the price has reduced some. They were colorful and sparkly and right up my alley. The Annex is a wonderful place to pick up some additional pieces for the home, either big statement pieces or some accent pieces.
