The kids all loved it and between the seven people in our group we tried at least half the flavors & none disappointed.

Conch Custard in Marathon is exactly what a local frozen custard shop should be, and something…read moreSouth Florida doesn't have nearly enough of. Everything is made in-house, and the custard is the real deal. This isn't the stabilized, heat-resistant soft serve you can walk around with for 20 minutes. This is old-school custard; dense, eggy, and already melting before you've taken your third bite. It forces you to stop, stand there, and actually eat it. As it should. The texture tells you everything. They're running proper equipment and not cutting corners. The swirl holds just long enough, then starts to collapse under its own weight, especially once you start loading it with toppings. The shop itself leans hard into Keys vacation energy; bright colors, clean, a little over the top. Not trying to be minimalist or trendy. Just unapologetically cheerful. And then there's the logo. Let's just say: ice cream piled into an open conch shell is... a choice. One that feels like it's perpetually one comment away from becoming a full-blown Facebook debate. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. For the record, no, there is no conch-flavored custard. I asked. Probably for the best. Bottom line: this is a focused, well-executed shop doing one thing right. Real custard, made properly, in a place that knows exactly what it is, even if the logo raises a few eyebrows along the way.

Delicate, pure amazing. Light egg wash and amazingly fresh and tender local fish I've never had. One I ordered had shrimp as well (was also supposed to be scallops). Choice of pasta or veg (green beans and potatoes). 5 stars - Duck: soy glazed half duck. Hub gave 4.5 stars - Bread: fresh, warm, and slightly seasoned. Would've liked some olive oil with it. 3.5 stars - Generous pour for glasses of wine - Mother son duo was so sweet Midlights - Beef Wellington: standard. 3 stars - Escargot: nice thin cognac sauce with tender escargot but being on a plate looked like it was drowning. 3 stars - Atmosphere: inside a motel like place. Outside had a thin balcony with a few tables for 2, inside very basic and old school with music to match Lowlights: - Long wait for food; we had a 630pm reservation and apps came at 7:30pm, entrees at 8:15pm and we didn't get to leave til almost 9 and skipped ordering - Out of few items and informed us 30+ min after we ordered them (rib eye and scallops) - Restroom downstairs in the lobby and closes at 8 so was a hassle to be let in

This was it! We walked in and were greeted right away while the delicious aroma hit right as you opened the door. They have a lunch special which is two slices of pizza and a drink. That's what we got. You just pick your slices and then they warm them up. The crust is perfectly crispy. The toppings are plentiful and the flavor is great and different on each variety. Loved the various crust options and sauce flavors. This is definitely a great stop. Wish we would have found it sooner bc I would have been back more than once. We also ordered the cannolis. Chocolate chip was the flavor they had. When I saw him grab a bag and a box from the fridge I wasn't expecting much from them but I was wrong, they were delicious! It's a small shop with a quaint little dine in area but it's big on flavor and personality.

You go around the corner to the bar area to order any drinks. We found a spot outside at a picnic table by the marina to eat. The food is fresh but overpriced. The lobster roll was good but had more roll than lobster. The lobster chowder was better than the lobster bisque I had at a different restaurant but still not as good as what I make at home. I tried the famous lobster Rueben. It was toasted perfectly on rye. It was fine but I think the sauerkraut over powers the lobster when the lobster needs to be the star of the sandwich. The beating I had here was probably the coconut shrimp with mango sauce. It was perfection. Deliciously crispy and the mango chutney was perfect with it. After we finished eating we went into the seafood market to check out their fresh seafood selection and grabbed a pie of key lime pie to go which comes in a little tart tin. It was really good flavored and the crust was obviously homemade. Not your typical graham cracker crust which was a nice change.

I recently visited Fishtails and unfortunately left quite disappointed. Given how busy the…read morerestaurant was, I had high expectations--but the experience did not match the crowd. I ordered the grouper, which is typically a highlight in the Florida Keys, but it lacked even basic seasoning and fell flat in flavor. The coleslaw was noticeably too sweet for my taste, and the potato salad included green peppers, which is an unusual choice and didn't complement the dish well. The service also left much to be desired. Our waitress was inattentive and provided very little information throughout the meal. Most concerning was that we left a significant portion of our food untouched, yet she never checked in or asked if anything was wrong--something I would expect at any restaurant, especially one as busy as this. Overall, while the atmosphere may draw a crowd, the food quality and service did not meet expectations. For comparison, I've had a far better grouper sandwich at Keys Fisheries Market & Marina, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope improvements can be made, as this location clearly has potential. Respond to owner, your response is your opinion, I have no reason to give bad information, if you watched your video as you stated you would have been able to see my friend and I dusguessing the food, also she never refilled our tea as frankly we didn't even drink it all. A good and attentive waitress could have mentioned that it came with coleslaw not to give two portions. It's whatever sir and if you want to get more technical, they grouper was fishy tasting and still had the dark vein line down the filet.
