To have Dr. Sefa as your physician is worth its weight in gold. He doesn't bite his tongue and tells you exactly what you need to know. She has already helped me find the root cause of many of the problems I have been experiencing. She ordered several lab test that my PCP and others providers have never thought to order. Before seeing her, I was eating a strict organic vegetarian diet but losing very little weight. After seeing Dr. Buchert, she has diagnosed me with insulin resistance and Hashimoto's disease, hormonal imbalances, and several vitamin and nutrient deficiencies. She has formulated a plan to address all my issues which includes medication, supplements, and a different nutrition plan. I was feeling so hopeless about my weight and overall health. But, now I so happy and I have hope again.... I am so grateful to Dr. Buchert for truly caring about her patients and their well-being.

I started seeing Dr. Buchert for my ob/gyn care several years ago. When she transitioned her practice to include functional wellness I knew that I wanted to see her for this as well. I became a functional wellness patient in May. My successes with this program are small and may be hard to detect from the outside. But I live in this body and I can tell you I feel awesome! We didn't know a single Gyn physician in the Baton Rouge area. I've been in labor and delivery for 31 years and couldn't get a reference from anyone in our department. I went to Yelp and saw a small review and took a chance. We struck triple "Platinum"!!! The office is clean, classy, and diverse. Everyone seem to enjoy their jobs and the overall vibe was calming. My daughter had problem and needed to be seen. After working a 12 hour shift in Gretna, La and driving through all of that BR traffic I was exhausted but, after meeting the staff and Dr.Taylor I forgot how tired I was. She assured me she would take good care of my young adult. I left feeling completely satisfied! So guys if you're looking for a good OB/GYN physician Dr. Yolunda Taylor is your best bet!

We saw the nurse practitioner who was also sweet and patient and went out of her way to make sure my brother understood everything. We both left with big smiles on our faces after being treated so kindly. Keep up the good work!

This is the worst staff I've ever dealt with in all of my medical history…read more I've been a type-1 diabetic for over 30 years and I've worn an insulin pump since 2001. For over eight days, the staff at Grady Endocrinology Center has neglected to do their job by simply providing my Pharmacist with a simple diagnosis code for blood testing strips. My insurance requires that I test at least four times per day, so when I was running low on testing strips, I called the Center... The first issue is that when you call, you don't ever get to consult with an actual human being to discuss whatever needs to be discussed. You're sent to the desk of a woman who promises to "get back to you within 48 hours". When she finally returned my call, I informed her of their fault. She immediately acted as if everyone at my local pharmacy didn't know how to do their job and blamed them, telling me that she'd take care of the problem. She called half an hour later to confirm that she sent the information. I should mention that I'd already had to purchase strips out-of-pocket due to all of this. I have medical insurance for this very purpose. Upon returning to my pharmacy, I encounter the same problem -- a new prescription was sent in, but with no diagnosis code. So, I call Grady Endocrinology Center again... My call is returned the following day, and met with the same routine. Repeat pharmacy visit/repeat the SAME problem. Finally, I decide to call after hours so that I can get the answering service to put an emergency call in to Dr. Justin Matriciano directly. He returns my call within five minutes and I relay the situation that I've been dealing with to him. He immediately defended his staff, saying that he'd have to check with them about this in the morning. He continued to say that pharmacies have a tendency to make mistakes like this and even told me that this was an Emergency Call and that unless I was in the ER, I shouldn't have contacted him. This let me know that he didn't care and didn't consider a patient waiting over 8 days to get a proper prescription from their doctor was an emergency. I felt like my intelligence was being challenged at this point so I pointed out that I saw BOTH prescriptions with my own eyes and BOTH lacked the diagnosis codes necessary for the pharmacy to fill the prescription. He made it clear that he didn't want to be on the phone with me and tried to speak over me for the duration of the short conversation. He then hastily repeated that he'd have to check up on things in the morning and hung up on me. He didn't say that he'd fill the prescription himself and see it through, he said that he'd "check with his staff in the morning" -- a complete lack of responsibility. The following day, the pharmacy had no prescription for me. No call from Grady Endocrinology. At this point, I decided to call my general practitioner and explain the scenario to see if they could aid me. In less than 20 minutes, my GP filled the necessary prescription and the pharmacy called to say my strips were available. I am now actively looking for a new Endocrinologist. Lack of action like this can really screw up certain aspects of particular Insurance Company requirements and even potentially land patients in the ER. Thankfully, my prescription was for glucose strips and not insulin -- I would've been in the ER by day 3.

I started going to Bluebonnet Family Clinic after I decided the drive to Zachary to see my…read morelong-time physician was too time-consuming. What a mistake that was! First of all, they use Express Scripts, which was fine, but due to some computer error my prescription was never sent to my pharmacy. When I called the clinic, they said they would re-send it, but that also didn't work. I had to drive over the next day for a paper copy. Couldn't they just write it down a be done with it? No, because I'm sure they make a profit using the online system. What a hassle. Furthermore, I went in two times within a couple of weeks because I was presenting symptoms that were diagnosed as "sinus infection" and "upper respiratory issues." They failed to perform any tests, even after I expressed my concern that something else was wrong - the doctor just gave me a cortisone shot and steroids. When that did no good, I went back to my long time physician in Zachary, and immediately upon examination and a few tests, they told me I had a severe case of mono and my tonsils were in such bad shape they might have to be removed. This would have been devastating to me, as a professional vocalist! And to think, if it had been diagnosed WEEKS earlier at Bluebonnet Family Clinic, it wouldn't have gotten as bad as it did. Not only that, but I have two forms of insurance, and both were copied by the office to keep on file. MONTHS later, I get a bill saying I owe them hundreds of dollars because I had no insurance. REALLY?!?! Bottom line is - if you value your health and well-being, DO NOT go here. Go to Lake After Hours if you have to, but NOT HERE! They're more interested in making a buck off the newest technology and designer drugs than actually keeping their patients healthy.
