His quality of care, compassion, wisdom, and knowledge, combine to make him literally the best doctor I have ever known. First of all, they use Express Scripts, which was fine, but due to some computer error my prescription was never sent to my pharmacy. When I called the clinic, they said they would re-send it, but that also didn't work. I had to drive over the next day for a paper copy. Couldn't they just write it down a be done with it? No, because I'm sure they make a profit using the online system. What a hassle. Furthermore, I went in two times within a couple of weeks because I was presenting symptoms that were diagnosed as "sinus infection" and "upper respiratory issues." They failed to perform any tests, even after I expressed my concern that something else was wrong - the doctor just gave me a cortisone shot and steroids. When that did no good, I went back to my long time physician in Zachary, and immediately upon examination and a few tests, they told me I had a severe case of mono and my tonsils were in such bad shape they might have to be removed. This would have been devastating to me, as a professional vocalist! And to think, if it had been diagnosed WEEKS earlier at Bluebonnet Family Clinic, it wouldn't have gotten as bad as it did. Not only that, but I have two forms of insurance, and both were copied by the office to keep on file. MONTHS later, I get a bill saying I owe them hundreds of dollars because I had no insurance. REALLY?!?! Bottom line is - if you value your health and well-being, DO NOT go here. Go to Lake After Hours if you have to, but NOT HERE! They're more interested in making a buck off the newest technology and designer drugs than actually keeping their patients healthy.

We love Dr. Ferrell, since my daughter has been seeing her from when she was a baby! My daughter is 9 now, so it had been a while that she has been under Dr. Ferrell's care. I made a same-day appt for her and even though it took several call backs, I finally got through to a human rather than a recording. I did leave a message, but I had no idea how long they were going to take, so I just kept calling and calling until someone picked up. They are located close to the main OLOL hospital. Everyone was great at the front desk and the nurse were so sweet. I hope Dr. Ferrell will remain for awhile because there because she is a wonderful doctor. She has never tried to strong arm us do any treatment that wasn't mandatory. So, if you are looking for a pediatrician, you have come to the right review!

There are no adequate words to describe how this doctor and her team handled the last year, as I was dealing with my Mom, who was in her last days. Rather than subject my Mom to unnecessary testing and visits, we handled most of her medical needs remotely. After the horrific flooding in August of 2016, as my Mom went into a decline , I knew that I could count on Dr R and her staff to help me deal with the situation . Because my Mom received such good care at home , she lived to age 97, and we never placed her in a nursing home. My emotional, spiritual , as well as physical needs were met . To me, this alone is worth the yearly fee. In the past, when I have been out of town , or have needed medical guidance , medication, etc. I have been impressed with the entire medical teams effort to ameliorate any situation. I have, personally , been part of the medical community as a nurse. As many people know, nurses don't really enjoy being a client - we would much rather give an injection , and not receive one. Even when having my blood drawn , this last time, I barely felt the needle stick; Offering experience , expertise and precision is what Maryanne does better than anyone. In this practice, there are no long wait times; the only time I ever had to wait was during a medical emergency , and even this was not long. One of my pet peeves is to wait in doctors offices...yet another reason I prize MDVIP. The best way I can describe the experience here is to compare this business to something we all are familiar with... vehicles . I used to drive a 13 y o pick up truck - yes , it did get me from point A to B. But being a part of this family practice is like graduating to a BMW M5 or a Bugatti... The premium experience received here IS worth the yearly fee... When I drove the 13 y o pickup , until I drove an M5, I was content with my truck ... Dr Richarmes practice will meet and exceed your expectations , and in the process of receiving top notch " maintenance ", you'll actually enjoy the ride. The care that we have received here has exceeded all of our expectations . Kudos to the entire team. Lastly, when you need to call the doctor, you can... and she is very detail oriented. Like most medical pros, Richarme keeps current with new methods and procedures, and she does accept most insurance. I truly hope that she knows that her clients think of her as more than just a great doctor ; Dr R is a friend to many. I hope that she will not mind being compared to a BMW M5.

Did not seem to understand the extent of my health problem…read more Basically told me to take over the counter stuff and a medication I had been taking which I told them was not helping. Finally, the Nurse Practioner (yep!) agreed to some in clinic meds and script because I insisted the medication I was on was not helping. The NP did not tell me it was not a generic and ended up being pretty expensive. I hate going to the doctor, especially an NP. But, if I do, and go to urgent care on top of that, then you can believe I needed help. Honestly feels like an expensive waste of money. I will never go back!
