Again they could of gave me an outrageous quote since half the job was done but once again I was given a very reasonable number. Communication was great by phone, text and email. The guys who came out to do the work were very friendly and professional. The job got done in a reasonable amount of time and the pool looks fantastic. The company was know as Walker pools previously but now called Affordable so you can look up both to find them. If I ever need pool repairs again they will be the first ones I call. Thankfully, Elite Pool Designs put all of our fears to rest thanks to their amazing customer service, fair prices and excellent, high quality work. We previously had a koi pond in our backyard but, as the fish died out, realized we wanted something else back there instead. We reached out to Elite Pool and Cyndi and she came over the next day to assess our yard. As we had no idea where to start, she helped guide us through the whole process, connecting us with surveyors, tree removal experts and all of the other hidden things you don't think about when you decide "I want a pool". After the work to get the yard ready was done, we went to the Elite Pool offices to pick out the tile, lining and design of the pool. Cyndi walked us through the shape and features we wanted, and provided a very reasonable quote for everything, including, automation, a heater for the pool (hey it DOES sometime get cold here!) and a screen enclosure. Construction for the pool started in October 2024 and finished in late January 2025, and our hat goes off to Robert (owner of Elite Pool) for his help with managing the entire project. Crews arrived as needed and on time, and though there were some periods between steps where not a lot of work was being done, it was never unreasonable and given the holidays, totally fair. Inspection and electrical were simple and easy and now we are ready to enjoy our pool! For anyone in our same position, looking to install a pool from scratch but not sure where to turn, Elite Pool Design should be your first call, can't recommend them highly enough!

We trusted Pinch A Penny on 9th Street to maintain pools at two homes that were often vacant. They continued billing us and claimed the pools were being serviced, but our cameras, neighbors, and family confirmed otherwise. At one property, no one came for about six weeks, even though we were sent pictures pretending the service had been completed. When family stayed at the homes for two weeks, neither pool was serviced once. One pool was found green, several feet low, and with the pool light hanging out. At another property, a defective pool-fill device they installed leaked approximately 1,500 gallons, killing plants and damaging landscaping. We only discovered it after the water company contacted us.btw a few weeks before my parents but a hose pool fill which they returned bc it was defective. Then weeks later I get one from them and they don't test it and connect it. Pretty coincidental. There has been no accountability, no meaningful response from the owner, and no effort to resolve the damage. In our experience, they took advantage of the fact that the homes were vacant, billed for work that was not performed, and were dishonest about it. We will be pursuing recovery of our damages through other means.

However, if you are brave enough to take on this endeavor, I highly recommend Hollywood Pools. I was clear there should never be a day that my pool wasn't being worked on until it was done (weather permitting) and they didn't disappoint! Joe's scheduling wizardry ensured that from Day 1 to Day 5, my pool was tended to daily by a team of specialists. From Day 1 when the hydro blasters waited three hours until the storms finally stopped so they could finish their job to the final day when the interior team arrived at 645 a.m. to ensure they could complete the new finish before the rain began - I couldn't have asked for anything more. Joe was very knowledgeable regarding the pros/cons of the various finishes, the back breaking process involved in resurfacing a pool and the importance of managing the start up process once the pool is back online, which he oversaw personally for the following week to ensure our deep Caribbean blue finish looked exactly as it should. We are 17 days into the 30-day curing process and we couldn't be more pleased with the final product...until I reach day 30 and don't have to brush it every day. Worth every penny!

This seems like an easy repair under warrantee, so I contacted Pinch a Penny to come and fix it. They sent the tech who installed it back to our house. He looked at it and then left without doing any repair. When I called back to say that nothing was repaired, I was told to hire another company to get it fixed. This made no sense given that we had all new parts. Buyer beware. This company will not stand behind its work. My timer works now, but not because of Pinch a Penny. I had to pay more to fix a new electrical box that was defective.
