Not only is the products High quality but the customer service and sales people are great We had our tub and surround replaced by Bath Buddies recently and it looks absolutely fabulous. Our salesperson Lisa was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. When installation time came it took longer than promised due to a few snafus on both parts but when it was finished, I was the first to take a hot relaxing bath. It was especially nice to be able to do that without falling or slipping in the tub. The safety bars were put in the best locations!!! After the install I was impressed that one of the owners called to see how we liked it, and spent 20 minutes on the phone with my husband. This product not only looks gorgeous, it cleans easily with just a paper towel and a bit of spray cleaner without ammonia!! How wonderful is that! They don't give you a free estimate. They won't set up an appointment unless they know they can close the sale when they show up. They want all the responsible parties are at home for the appointment! I called here Monday the 8th, spoke to JT, adviced him wanting to renovate my bathroom, tub to a shower. He said somebody will call me towards the end of the week. Nolan called me today, Thursday. We set up an appointment for tomorrow 3 PM. Alexis from this company called me wanting to know more, asking me questions, I told her I've already told Nolan and JT. she still asked me questions, also said she knows how I want to expand the bathroom size...etc. I asked her one question if I can change my appointment from 3 PM to 2:30 PM. She says not a problem. Now JT calls me telling me I have two appointments by mistake. I said no it was at 3 PM but changed it to 2:30 PM. He went on to make sure my BF will be home for the appointment. I told him he won't be, I said he will be home, but he will be working, he wanted to reschedule to Saturday or Sunday anytime when he can be participate during the appointment time. I said probably not. He's very busy and I didn't want to reschedule. I said tomorrow works just fine for me. He puts me on hold and then he came back and he said they won't be able to make the appointment tomorrow at 2:30 PM. Also, a woman called me Monday after I spoke to JT, weird, I think she knew I was looking at her site. Somebody sent me a text from this company as well, i'm being spied on, I guess, see my photo. My name is Diane and your company installed a shower for me in 2020. I paid $10,586 for this unit by your Smithtown Bypass office, in Smithtown on Long Island not Crestwood , Florida. On February 7th, I called your Smithtown office asking to purchase the plastic piece that attaches onto the bottom of the shower door that prevents the water from going all over the floor. I was told I would receive a call back. It is now February 20th, and I still haven't received a call. I realized that my warranty had expired and I intended to pay for the plastic piece and would have attached it myself, I called 5 times in the last 2 weeks, only to be transferred to the service department with an answering machine. I left messages and no one has ever returned any of my calls. I also called a John's cell, again, I didn't receive a call back. So, I have a $10,000 shower that leaks. Really nice way to treat a customer that paid you over $10,000. i had to give one star rating in order to place a review. I didn't want to give any stars. So sorry I went with bathroom buddy to install the jacuzzi bath remodel as seen on TV. Don't do the Jacuzzi bath remodel it will be installed by bathroom buddy. They screwed up when installing the tub potion putting it on top of my existing floor tile and their tub doesn't sit flush to the floor, because of that they caulked the bottom of the tub with a 1 inch high line of caulking from the floor!!! see the pics I attached, this is an additional issue as well regarding the eventuality of changing the floor tile and it can't be done because the tile is under the tub!!! they made an offer of putting down vinyle planks but after looking into the down side of that in a bathroom was something I didn't want to take a chance with, only ceramic floor tile is safe for me. So they were not going to pull the tub and said they would have a trim made to cover that calk line addressing the horrible appearance as well further protect from water getting under the tub, so I settle for that and will deal with the tile change if it does in the future become necessary. Well it's been months now and still no trim and i've been jerked around to this day with a BS excuse that the company they ordered from hasn't delivered it and when they call them they say they are told it's on the way--- pretty dam sad!! There was never any communications from them with updates. 4 days before the pushed back guaranteed 1 day install, they said we would have to wait an addition 2 weeks for a door. I had Bathroom Buddy remodel a shower stall. Salesman said it would be between 6 to eight weeks and they would have it done in two days. 10 weeks later the stall was done. Add two weeks as another company installed the glass. Glass company said the shower head came out too far. The shower head almost hits the glass. Buddy sent a worker to make the adjustment. The worker said he couldn't do it without breaking the ceiling. Buddy Manager told me if they think of something ( how to fix it ) they will let me know. Still waiting hear. Unfortunately my experience with this company has been one problem after another . They installed a walk-in shower with a bench seat. After major surgery i used the bench for the first time and slid right off. It was like sitting on a sheet of glass. My back was seriously bruised. I complained to the company and after two months they sent someone to fix the bench. The solution was to put a coating on the bench which is extremely rough. It feels like sitting on sand and grit. it's impossible to sit on. I tried to call the company but no one has called me back. They really want to forget about me. Slick salesman. He was here for about 2 hours explaining his company and products. But bad mouthed any competitor we mentioned and how inferior their products were. I thought we were looking at a bath to walk in shower with a seat, glass doors and an upgraded shower package. And in my naivety thought we'd be looking at a new toilet, floor, heat lamp and maybe a new vanity. Oh no no. This is what I was offered Jacuzzi walk in shower with a $20 shower head, no seat and no glass doors but a rod was included for a shower curtain. No electrical or plumbing work except for the shower installation at its minimum. Promised a lifetime guarantee too. I hope you're sitting and don't have any heart issues because this sweet deal included FREE INSTALLATION. So can anyone explain why the job was over $14000??? I did sign the contract and when he left around 7pm there was just this nagging in my brain that I was lied to about a lot. That included installation of anything else we wanted and his crew would take care of it. Not what I heard and read. At 10pm, 3 hours after he left I wrote an email cancelling the job. Of course no response to date but the cancellation notice was signed and mailed with a letter via priority mail, certified return receipt and signed. The finance company was also notified to prove cancellation within 3 business days of signed contract. Thankfully the deposit was a 0% interest rate check which he promptly cashed. I called the bank and was advised to file a dispute. I'm so glad I protected myself with that. My advice and I'm taking it is do your homework, check all their licenses, liability insurance and references and ratings with BBB. Also make the contractor itemize exactly what they're doing, materials being used including manufacturers and model or part numbers. And if you hire someone, observe how the job is going and make sure what you asked and paid for is what's going in your bathroom. Lastly do not give more than 5 to 10% for a down payment. After being promised the world, these dishonest people will send subcontractors who are ignorant of the promises you get from the company. They say they will replace something if they break it. That does not seem to include the subcontractors since they broke my sink and said refused to replace it. They claim a lifetime guarantee, but it is almost impossible to get them to come back. Also, the lifetime guarantee will only last as long as this terrible company is in business. Choose bathfitter, as they will not go out of business in this lifer 1 more thing, their website lists only 5 star reviews and don't let you leave a review on their actual website. In February my wife and I contracted Bathroom Buddy to do a tub to shower conversion. Salesman "M" came to the house several days after I contacted them. He was a very pushy typical salesman. He got us to sign a contract while trying to read the fine print off his iPod. I attempted to contact him within the 3 day cancellation period, as required by law. He never returned my email. Who said do everything in writing. He contacted us several weeks later with a excuse about his email. The reason I wanted to cancel was to investigate other contractors since Bathroom Buddy's price was phenomenal, and not in a good way. When I mentioned the price to people I work with, they thought I had the entire bathroom remodeled, not just a shower. Just to jump subjects, the best part of this entire experience were the 2 installers, they were friendly and courteous. Back to bathroom Buddy. The material such as the water valve is the low end Delta. If you want it in other than chrome, the cost is several hundred dollars more, Oil brushed bronze. The tension shower curtain rod, even though it bares the Moen name, it is below the low end. It has sharp edges on it, the ends that press against the walls, that I need to be taken care of. It has already scratched the new cheap walls. It also did not stay put and fell on my wife's head. Oh, I forgot to mention, the hand held shower leaks like a sieve where the hose connects to the water supply. Of course I will be blamed because I decided to stick with the old shower head head and save a few hundred dollars. As things go I would not recommend Bathroom Buddy if I was asked. Alex's long-winded spiel coupled with an odd line of probing questions and an even odder argument is sure to have him escorted out of many homes in the future. The sales pitch is centered around placing fear in the customer about mold & mildew growth. They obviously invested money in acrylic & are pushing it hard. Save yourself the extremely awkward spiel. They will not match other contractors' affordable pricing so don't bother trying to negotiate. Had my shower installed on 8/30/21, I have not yet used my shower. I was told the custom glass was going to take 2 weeks. It is 10/7/21 no glass yet, John has even stopped pretending to care. 5 weeks with no shower and no end in sight. They have all my money even though it was supposed to be paid off when the job was completed. Guess they screwed me big time. Ill be contacting my bank tomorrow for the fraud charges on my card. Since job is not completed. I called 3 glass places today all say it takes 2-3 weeks max to get glass. This company takes your money then gives excuses, then just stops caring. My husband and I recently purchased our home and wanted to upgrade our master bathroom. After seeking, we came across this company. The sales person from Bathroom Buddy was indeed amazing. Daniel, I believe his name was. Although, I was hesitant, as the renovation was a little over budget. I was reassured of how much it would worth it. The images they had shown to my husband and I were beautiful and with the dream I had for my bathroom, I believe they were able to do an amazing job. I signed the contract with them on 10/09/2021. We were reassured that once materials were gathered installation would take 1 day. Approximately, 5 weeks after they stared the job. My husband and I were pleased with what looked like we are going to have an amazing walk in shower. The contractors that came were friendly and professional. They were very careful with their installation of the shower and even clean up while they work. Unfortunately, the shower door that they had ordered was too small although multiple contractors came and did there measuring. That was a little "hiccup" I was ok with for the moment since the manager came that same day and assured us that they will get us another door in two weeks. The manager returned $1000 to us stating we should hold on to it until they are back to complete the installation. After leaving that same day, I received a call, from that same manager stating that I should use the $1000 that was returned to find another contractor to complete the door, which I declined. I quickly realized that this was slowly becoming a nightmare. After several weeks of calling and checking in on a time frame as to when the installation would be completed, they finally came. These were a completely different set of contractors that came the second time around and this time was also different. The contractors came with measuring tapes and what seems like the same door that couldn't fit my shower in the first place. To my disappointment I was back to square one. Upon the contractors leaving my home I called the manager again which stated that they had the correct door at their warehouse, the contractors just brought the wrong door. I was again reassured that the installation will be done the following week as they were short on contractors. Well, the following week came and my door was still not installed because of the same issue. I decided I wouldn't call the company, hoping they would call and say something. After approximately 2 weeks I received I call from the Daniel stating that they would have to change the design for my door in order to get the installation completed. I agreed because at this time I just wanted to be done with this nightmare. Well, it is now 12/27/2022 over a year of signing that nightmare contract and I am yet to have my bathroom door installed. I have not heard from ANYONE from the company. In the past, if I have not made the effort to call, I will not hear from the company. They have not made any effort to call so I know I am not forgotten, or they are still working on getting my door installed. I am of loss of words on how to describe what this company has put my husband and I through. With the attitude from the manager and the woman in their Smithtown office asking my husband why he is here, if they called him. Looked for a long time for a bathroom system to update our bathtub to a shower. Having used a different company for a one day shower upgrade in a different house we knew what we wanted and what we didn't want , we were not the easiest customers to sell to. My husband is handy enough and has worked in various construction home improvement jobs his entire life. A one day renovation would have been impossible and we only have 1 bathroom in our home.
