This man is a scammer. I have seen his work. On the exterior of a house he used staples on expensive siding when the company that sold said siding called for screws that came with the siding. the gaps were horrendous and the work was so poor it looked like the whole crew picked up a toolbelt the day before. Also he asked me for a final check a week before finishing " so he could pay his guys" that are mostly working for 16 -20 an hour. literally learning how to install everything they put their hands on. a complete ripoff and swindler. This company gives real craftsmen a bad reputation. not to mention his whole crew are all active drug addicts as well as him.DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME. read more

If you are thinking of hiring JAWS Construction for a bathroom remodel, DON'T. When we hired JAWS Construction, he told us it would be a 5 week project. We were beginning week 10 when we terminated him. To be fair, he began on a good note with the prep work (gutting the old bathroom, etc.). However, when the prep work was completed and they were ready to begin the shower tiling, shower floor tiling, bathroom floor and installation of shower doors, vanity, toilet, things began to go downhill quickly. John and his crew were very sloppy and careless. Many items were damaged due to their carelessness. When this was brought to John's attention, he and his crew attempted to either fix or replace some of the damaged items. However, in doing so, they caused even more damage. John also substituted items without letting us know. Many of them costing less than the original items we asked him to purchase. Overall, the work was subpar, shoddy and sloppy. John on a few occasions was very unprofessional and rude to us to the point of yelling. We are now in the process of having to call in other construction companies for quotes to assess the damages and mistakes made by JAWS Construction and will need to have items either fixed or replaced altogether. Jaws construction is horrible. They did nothing right and everything wrong. Not to mention the driver of the van was very rude. As he pulled into traffic I watched him cut off several cars. Not only can't they do construction properly. He dosnt even know how to drive. read more

It is not a job for him, it is a passion. He does everything to perfection and has an incredible eye for design, trends, and colors. He has assembled a loyal team that includes the following: demolition, carpentry, painting, flooring, electrical, plumbing, masonry, architecture, dumpster pick up/removal etc. He designs, organizes, supervises, and is involved (does the work) on every project from dumpster pickup to painting. His team is on call throughout the job and will be at the home within 1 hour from his phone call. I would highly recommend him to anybody. Jaws did work for us in our old house in Nissequogue in Fall 2020, which was instrumental in selling our house in 2021. They did a bathroom repair in one bathroom to replace a cracked marble shower seat. It was a difficult job because it required removing and replacing a glass wall/door in order to replace the seat. When it was done, it looked like new. They also did a complete reno on our hallway bath. It turned out great. The prospective buyers frequently commented on how nice it was. Lastly, they did a refurbishment of our outdated brick fireplace in our living room with marble tile. Totally new look that also drew a lot of positive comments. All of the work was done very professionally and looked great. They were very helpful in suggesting new creative ideas for the bathrooms. They always showed u on time, finished the job in the time promised, and did a thorough clean up when they finished. The owner, John, was personally involved throughout the projects I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and plan on using them again on projects in our new downsized house. read more
