First off, here's the Reader's Digest version on my experience with Victoria Bath Fitter, followed the detailed narrative. Synopsis - 2 stars, only because the installer was great. The measurements taken by the sales consultant, subsequent orders and customer service was terrible, but the installer's excellence kept me from rating them at only 1 star. Detailed Narrative - When Darcy (the installer) first attended our residence to perform this work on February 12th 2026, he had to come down from Nanaimo, as they don't have the staff to adequately respond to Victoria based customers. When Darcy arrived, he did so with apologies for two separate mistakes made by Victoria Bath Fitter. The first was that the sales consultant (John) had erred in his measurements when he sold us on the shower unit on November 5th 2025. As a result, there was a gap of a couple of inches between the height of the walls and the ceiling portion (which was supposed to be one continuous piece, from floor to ceiling). To compensate for this error, Darcy offered to craft a molding to cover the break between the wall and the ceiling. Although it is mismatched from the pattern of the shower walls and doesn't look particularly great, we accepted it because the wait had already been considerably longer (99 days) than the 12 weeks that had been projected as the worst case scenario. This error was solely the fault of the sales consultant, but due to Darcy's exceptional professionalism and caring approach, we accepted his apology on behalf of Bath Fitter. The 2nd mistake was much more egregious. On February 12th, Darcy furthered his apology on behalf of Bath Fitter and explained that he found out that morning that they had ordered the wrong door for our shower. He contacted his manager, who asked him to convey his apologies for the mistake, and authorized Darcy to offer us a free shower handle as compensation. Since we already bought and paid for a shower handle, and in consideration of the fact that there would be another handle on the door (once installed), we did not see the need for a 3rd handle, so we declined that, but still felt we should be entitled to some compensation for terrible customer service. This mistake meant that the installation of our shower would not be completed on the following day as promised, but we were told that it would be ordered as a "rush item" and assured that it would be installed within 3 weeks. In the interim, we were given a shower curtain as a stopgap measure. 5 weeks later (!!!), Darcy was able to come back and complete the job. While we waited for the door to come in, I called them and asked about a discount for the significant inconvenience and lack of professionalism exhibited to date. They advised me that they would check with the manager and I would be advised. I heard nothing more on this until I inquired again weeks later. Since this mistake was entirely within the control of Bath Fitter (by not ensuring they had the right parts to complete the job on time), I asked for a discount. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable from Bath Fitter, but just for them to stand behind their product and promise of customer satisfaction as a reputable company should. For a job that exceeded $10,000.00, I felt that it would have been in order to at least knock off the GST. Instead, the manager argued with me for a few days and then said he would refund the price of the extra safety handle ($178) he had offered when these blunders were first brought to his attention. He also contended that Bath Fitter had ordered the correct door, but his supplier had sent the wrong one. Again, they should have checked to ensure that they had the correct parts before showing up to do the job. I will point out that we found Darcy to be an exemplary professional whose services I would highly recommend, but beyond that, we are, given the foregoing, naturally dissatisfied with the customer Service from the Victoria Bath Fitter office. read more

Do not use this company. Absolutely atrocious customer service. About the worst I've ever encountered. Messed up our order, took no responsibility for it and I finally cancelled it after waiting 3 months. Dealt with the General Manager and received no satisfaction - no acknowledgement of their mistakes. Do not use these people. They don't care a hoot about customer service. read more

They used regular wood screws that rusted and broke into pieces instead of galvanized screws. They would not replace the damaged area. It looks terrible. read more

We had our second bathroom updated with a Bath Fitter tub and walls and are very happy with the results. Rafael Wong was our installer who did a great job. Very professional installation. I would recommend Bath Fitter if you are looking to freshen up your bathroom. The installation was d=completed in one day. read more

Our installer Chino was slightly early which was was great. He made sure that our stairs and carpeting was protected while he was bring in his tools and the actual insert. Explained what he was doing and why. At the end of the job he explained the best materials for cleaning. The workmanship was exceptional, it shows his decades of experience and professional pride in his work. read more

I signed up in August, work was completed in one day in November, except for a drain and shower rod. Those were completed the following March. The worker was good and I like my bathtub much better! I had a question to ask the financing company they use, but I couldn't wait on hold past half an hour today. Thought I'd try asking the Bathfitter office as my question might be a common one (inputting contract number in online banking payee). The woman who "helped" me needs customer service training. We had both our condo bathrooms redone by Bathfitters. Can't praise them enough. John our tech came on two separate times to complete project. He and his team were extremely pleasant, quiet and respectful of where they were working. The job site was keep spotless during and after their work day. The end product is amazing coming out on time and exactly what we expected. I felt totally comfortable with leaving them in our home when I had to step out. I hope management at Bathfitters know how lucky they are to have a employee like John. Great work Bathfitters. read more

I would never do business with this company again, there costumer service and sales man were terrible. They left me with a huge hole in my floor for months. Never told me about a deposit right from the get go. Thank god I only have 1 bathroom, would never rec this company to anyone or friends. I have so much more to tell, but what is the point, I think u all get my drift! read more

I am disabled. After a long long wait by my landlord and 5 quotes the contract to change my bathtub to a Shower was completed. Yes, there are some problems with the pooling of the water, which hasn't been addressed. But, the workers and skilled staff of BathFitters, did an absolutely wonderful job. It is a big job that required drilling, etc. and they were so careful, with drop cloths everywhere, vacumed all the sawdust and there was lots, and were just a pleasure to have in my home. They made it easy and I am so happy with the results, and am confident they will 'fix' the pooling issue making it even safer for me to use. read more

After 20 years the tub insert and surround wall are like new. I was neglectful, at times, with the caulking and water got between the tub and insert. Rob came out and advised me what to do, a simple but effective fix to drain the water. Came back 3 days later and recaulked beautifully. He has an amazing work ethic, very professional and a guy who truly cares about the customer. Well done Rob! read more
