A retail space in the beautiful new Atrium it's bathed in light with high ceilings and almost floor to ceiling glass front windows. With cooking classes, and a full kitchen, this is sure to become a great spot to spend your time. They have a ton of excellent quality kitchen tools, a small but good selection of cook books (unless I maybe missed some?) and a lovely selection of locally produced food items. I chatted with a really friendly girl at the counter about how their new shop was doing and she was excited to tell me about their success and the things they offered. I somehow managed to leave empty handed, but this is a great new addition to the Victoria food scene, and sure to inspire curious cooks to be more creative, better equipped, and very well fed. They are embracing local food, seasonal ingredients, and looking to serve the local food community, which earns them a solid five stars.

Given that we had no previous business with CVR, we indicated to Bader that "trust" was important to us to move forward with him and his company. We established that trust very quickly. Bader was great with keeping us informed of issues throughout the project. The job was completed on time with quality workmanship and within the price quote terms. However the rude, condescending behaviour of an older woman working in the store was completely awful. We'd just come back from walking our dogs and we were dressed in boots and raincoats - I had the distinct impression that she didn't see us as buyers. At one point when I picked up a frying pan (I love good pans) she said from behind the counter in a less than amicable tone , 'Are you wanting to purchase that?' Seriously. I meant to post that day, but Christmas is a busy time and we were away ,but we walked by the store today and both my wife and I commented on what an awful experience it had been. Their loss! We will never go back in.

We paid the first deposit for our small kitchen renovation project on December 24, 2021. The…read moreproject started as scheduled in April 2022. Everything proceeded over the next 4 months with average delays due to supply chain and staff shortages. There was no proactive communication about these delays, I was left waiting for responses to emails on most occasions except when I included the office administrator in the communication. I expressed this frustration with the lack of customer service to the project manager, Tom, to the office admin, Dana and to the owner, Tony at the beginning of August, asking for more timely communication. By end of September 2022 the final pieces that were on back order were installed and we had updated the deficiency list with some very minor fixes. There was a site visit at the end of October to address some of the deficiency list items. I never heard back from anyone from Easy Installations or T-Square until end of January 2023. By that point I had assumed they were not coming back and I was managing most of the deficiencies on my own. I expressed this confusion to Tom. Over the next month there were a couple more miscommunications for scheduled site visits and a final painting to address the original deficiency list from September. Although there were still small fixes to do, I was DONE with this project. There was a visit by Tom mid February 2023 to present the final bill where I asked to have a meeting with Tony to discuss my final bill and the project overall. I waited over 10 days when the office contacted me to schedule a walk through for our deficiency list??!! After calling the office and explaining our project status, it became clear that all the admin and accounting staff were new and not up to date. We schedule a final bill meeting at my home on February 27, 2023. At that meeting Tony did not attend, instead Tom presented my bill saying he had talked to Tony about it. The lack of customer service, follow up, follow through and general miscommunications has made this project end on a very negative note. My kitchen is complete and I am satisfied with the end product in general (with some minor deficiencies that I refuse to wait for any longer) but I CAN NOT recommend Easy Installations or T-Square as a company that operates with any sense of customer service or integrity.

I phoned the store to ask a couple of questions and as soon as I mentioned the firmness, the berating from the owner began. We were experiencing 'furniture shock', we got exactly what we ordered, he had spend HOURS explaining everything to us, what did I want him to do about this anyway, this is what good quality furniture feels like, we'll thank him in 3 years, did he mention he spent HOURS explaining everything to us, and then a hopefully facetious suggestion to jump on our sofas to soften them up. I never really got to ask my questions and just ended up hanging up. Very disappointing as the store carries nice things and we would have become good customers.

See item 2. below in particular:…read more 1. Purchased a custom rug 10 x 12 for about $3500. It came in 4" out of square in a length of 10'. Was told "what do you expect? It's handmade. Actually wasn't handmade - it was factory made and machine edged. In fairness the purchase price was refunded. But was an uncomfortable experience and told David it made me not want to return to his store. 2. Glutton for punishment! Went to PM again because they had the style we were looking for. Purchased a leather couch made by Moroni for roughly $5000 supposedly on sale from more than $7000. After about 14 months the finish started to flake off. Was told by PM that wear and tear wasn't covered and anyway that the warranty was only for 1 year. About 4 months later was going through old warranties and getting rid of expired ones when I came across the original tag brochure on the couch in which it stated that the leather was guaranteed for 5 years against peeling or flaking. Contacted Parc Modern again and after an email and 3 phone calls was told that the claim had been rejected because it was a sale item. Phoned Moroni - who have terrible customer service - they don't want to talk to an owner - and it seemed like PM had not even contacted them the second time but just made up a story to make the problem go away. But then they said the couch was no longer made anymore so any warranty was null and void!!! They said they would contact PM and that they would contact me. Still waiting. Lesson is: 1. don't buy any Moroni Product 2. don't expect more than lip service from Parc Modern once you have purchased the product.
