We were looking for a new bathroom but the high pressure sales pitch drove us right to a competitor, Rebath. The rep on the phone wouldn't even schedule a consolation/appointment unless both my wife AND myself were present together. They were so slick they asked "will the homeowners be present?" My wife said it's just her. They put her on hold, pulled up the country appraisers site and saw that I am also an owner and said unless both were present at the sales presentation that we "weren't a good fit". We called Rebath (and another company) both came out and met with my wife (I did not meet with either). We decided on Rebath, paid the down pmt, they came 3 days later, 2 days after we paid the balance. So because Bathfitter "policy" is to pitch to BOTH homeowners they lost our business. Ok, the installers, Luis and Newell were beyond efficient, friendly and professional. The resulting new shower is amazing. We had a horrible cracked leaking tub. The only minor issue we had was not reviewing the amended quote/estimate/work order. The nice hand held Moen shower head we wanted disappeared after we added the frameless shower doors. It would have been nice if someone at Bath-Fitter mentioned that, but things happen. They ended up crediting the value of it and I bought maybe a nicer one at the store. When the installers(awesome guys) finished and a regular shower head was there, we obviously were not super happy (thus the 4 out of 5) but Go with Bath-Fitter, the installers are awesome. read more

We were told that in three days we'd have a new bath room. We had two baths in our coop. They so far have taken a month. Today they still haven't finished. I have been using Bath Fitter for 19 years. No need to replace the bathtub installed by them in 2007, it still looks good after all that time. I just had the walls around the bathtub replaced to look more updated. Had a service call on the master bedroom shower stall, replacing the silicone around the stall. It looks like new. We needed to have our shower fixed. After getting a quote from a plumber including replacing our tile, we decided to get a quote from Bath Fitter. Arthur was a great salesperson -- explained everything, gave us a written quote, and was low key. We decided to go with this option, and called him to come back the next day. We made our choice of colors and materials. And gave the company a deposit. Because of the busy holiday season we expected to wait a couple months for installation. However, we were contacted by Tatiana in the office pdq and were able to choose an available date. As our installation date came near, we received reminders and a confirmation regarding what time the technician would be arriving. The gentleman arrived exactly on time! And fixed our problems and did the installation. He cleaned up after all the work and left instructions for the next day as well as future cleaning. We are very happy with the look of the finished product. And would recommend them highly. read more

Dishonest sales pitch. Long time between initial consultation and final installation if you need inspection's , permits. In my case it was fortunate that the inspection was necessary because they failed the first plumbing inspection (connecting a 2"pipe above a 1 1/2" pipe under shower. I wanted a sturdier shower door than they offered. Lisa, the sales rep, said she would talk to her boss and get their installers to do the installation as if they did this all the time. When the time came, she said no that was impossible! Can't I get the people(Amazon) I bought it from to install it? It would not fit the sill of the Bathfitters shower.pan (3"). I suspect they. Sabotaged an unschooled buyer. Warn out, I just went with their door which, by the way, I am going to have to open with a finger ring! It would have been so much easier and better to hire a plumber, choose a finish and hardware and skipped this company altogether! Bath Fitter are in the plumbing and bath fitting business a long time. Lisa could have told me that my suggested door was too wide for their product. Maybe I would have chosen their door or maybe I would have gone a different way. Now I am a unsatisfied customer with a shower door across my guest room bed. Oh yes, I forgot to mention , I'm recovering from knee replacement...the reason for the tub to shower conversion in the first place. read more

Wow what a difference a half of a day makes!! I can't say enough good things about this company and their installers who are nothing short of artists. They came in and set up by making sure the floor was covered from the bathroom all the way out to the front door. They got right to the task at hand and worked non stop until the bathroom was done. Terrible product. Very cheap. Save your money. They installed handheld shower incorrectly and we had water leaking for a year which caused major water damage and mold. They took no responsibility. They also confiscated the damaged piece, which insurance company said they did to hide their liability for installing incorrectly. Do not use. read more

I am not happy with bathfitters. We had to have them out to redo the whole shower. I dont like the idea that we need to call them out every so often to redo the caulking. Worst experience ever! It started with the consultation which was November 15th. Their team showed up unannounced. Of course no one was home because were all working adults. It was told to me that the job would be done within 24hrs. Well the day of the job was on December 9th. It started from 8am to about 3pm. We were told that the glass doors won't be able to go up until the tiling dries. They said they would call the company to set up another date to finish. It's been 2 weeks and four days. I had to host guests at my house with a bathroom shower not in use. Imagine the incovenience. I have a full house. The holidays were ruined. I would think twice about using this company's service. What do you think about this job from BATHFITTERS after waiting for two months this is there job which from day one I was not satisfied and was told by Mr Todd he was going to fix it by patching it up , it looks like they cut the bottom with scissors or there teeth. I also had a poor experience with this company. They tried to charge me for wall repair, though none was needed. The area covered did not match the contract. The installer said that was written in the contract didn't matter, "we have our rules". Clean-up was mediocre. Grab bar is not level and impractical to fix it (obviously no one put a level on it, it was just "eyeballed").This is not yet fully resolved and I will post an update. Update: after a lot of back-and-forth, the company agreed not to charge me for wall repair, though there was an additional charge to cover area which, to my surprise, was not covered by contract. Someone is being sent to complete the cleanup (the door glass was never cleaned, and all around it were white adhesive fingerprints) and to finish the job. The installer says he was "misunderstood". There will be a seam showing where the additional material is added, but I was told this would have happened anyway. My expectation that this could be done without a seam was unrealistic. I wish someone had told me about this, or that the installer had been concerned about it (I closed a door and opened a window), but an installation like this means that your home will stink of adhesive for quite a few hours. Plan meals and guests appropriately. It does look great. read more

I had James from Bath Fitter in Broward come out and do an evaluation on March 1. I gave him a $200.00 and told him I wanted to finance the rest. He said not problem they use Wells Fargo. Never heard from him again. Weeks go by, no call. (I was told it would take awhile to get the tub in). I called in April for status and they set up a time to come out and do my tub. I told them I wanted to finance and they advised someone would be in touch with me. On April 18 the guy came in and installed my tub and said "so I'm putting this on your card?" And I said no I want to finance, I had told them that. I emailed the salesman and said can we discuss the financing that night (this was my third time requesting). He didn't respond. I woke up the next morning and my bank account was negative. They charged my card anyway without giving me notice or the option to finance which I had told them I had wanted to do on numerous occasions. Thankfully I close on my home improvement loan in two days and my bank has overdraft protection but DO NOT USE THEM. I did finally talk to Todd (the manager) and all he knew how to say was there is a lot of volume and they need to "follow the paperwork" (The paperwork like the finance application I was never provided.) He wanted to try to work it out but would not accept any responsibility for their salesman dropping the ball. No apology. He seemed annoyed by my situation which his employee put me in. We used Bath Fitter's product to upgrade our shower wall and floor tiles. They lay an acrylic plastic sheets over the existing tiles, without demolitions, and mold it into shape to fit the spaces. All the openings are sealed tight between acrylic plastic sheet and the tiles. Well after a few years, our shower floor becomes detached from the floor tiles, and is trapping water in between. The seal must have been broken and water has leaked inside the void space. We are concerned with potential mold issues in the near future. Their product is supposed to have a life time warranty, however, when We called to inform them of our problem, no one has returned our phone calls and text messages. It's been a while now. read more

Our sales consultant, Patricia Reardon, was extremely thorough in the explaining of the work that was to be performed and setting up the project to be completed in a quick time frame. We had our 1st bathroom done by Bathfitters and we were thrilled with the result. Redid out second bathroom and decided to go again with Bathfitters. However, work started on Monday and could not finish. Came back on Wednesday 2 1/2 late and tried to finish doing a terrible job that needs to be redone. Called several times to speak with the Installer Manager, goes to VM. The receptionist should take a course in courtesy. We should have went with tile. The amount charged to do this bathroom was a thousand more than the last time and now use low grade material. Cheap moldings. He was very professional and clearly knew exactly how to install and maintain the shower. He gave me advise and recaulked where some of the caulking needed a refresh . The people putting in the bath were excellent. I would give them a 5 star. The office staff were horrible! I would give them a negative 10 if I could. They NEVER returned phone calls, were not on top of permits and never notified us if there was a change in inspection times. It was the worst run office I have ever dealt with. If I hadn't driven to the office and waited to be seen by someone the job would not have taken place. As it was, when I went there the first time after 2 1/2 days of phone messages with no return calls, I was told by the manager on duty that everything was fine they were just waiting for permits. The following week I was told the hold up was that there was paperwork I needed to get them to apply for the permits!! It was the most frustrating Reno I ever had! We just had the walls of our bathroom done by Bath fitter and we couldn't be more pleased.A new tub was installed earlier so there was no need to have it fitted. On the day of installation the installer (Adam) showed up right on time.He politely introduced himself and asked to see the bathroom he was going to be working on.After a quick look around he referred to his copy of the contract,pointed out the various aspects of the job he was authorized to perform and asked if that was my understanding of the work needed to be done and I agreed it was. Adam was methodical in the way he prepared the work area and set up his tools before starting the job......even his plastic garbage bag was strategically placed so he could easily dump srapped materials as he went along. On several occasions I offerd Adam something to eat or drink but he politely said 'no thanks,I brought my own'. In a few short hours the job was complete and we are very satisfied with the work that was done.Great care was taken in preparing the work site and the area was swept and cleaned upon completion. Terrible company. Offers you one price, then tries to change the price agreed too. Stay away from this company. Go with real tile. The Acrylic crap Bathfitters use may look terrible and cheap. Its all up to the individual potential customer.Tile looks better, will enhance your shower and may get more more return on investment when your ready to sell your home. In this opinion, Bath fitter is NOT WORTH the investment of our time nor money. The person with this office, offered incredible poor service due to the preceding experience.It was identified to us as a "Manager." A real schister. Their sale's people are in our opinion high pressure, commission only used car salesman like people. Finally, after going back and forth, we went with a different company that offered real tile. Because of our terrible experience, the end result was a much better and cost effective alternative. 06.10.16 Should have known better when I got attitude when I had to cancel the consultation at the last minute because one of my kids was sick. They kept calling and I refused to answer the phone then I told them what happened and the calls finally stopped. My husband and I started the remodel of the bathroom and realized we couldn't do the tub by ourselves so we called Bath Fitter. Today is the day of installation and the installer was supposed to be here at 8:45. At 9:15 I called the company. Their installer went to the wrong stop. Supposedly the installer was packing up and on his was. Still not here and it is now 9:45. Have another appointment coming to my home at noon and they need water. So right now I'm screwed. I have to be at work at 1:30 but I can't leave until the installer is done. This is the worst decision I have made. I will follow up once the installation is done as to the quality of the job. 06.14.16 Installer arrives on time. Bath Fitter told me it would be a 3 hour job. Installer was here for 8 hours. the warehouse gave him the wrong valve and did not give him the spout. he found a valve in his truck that would fit but I would have to wait until tomorrow to put on the spout. so pissed. 06.15.16 different installer comes and installs the spout. since it has been 24 hours since the walls were put on installer told me the shower could be used. my son went to shower. the new shower fixture has to be pulled to get the water flowing. when he pulled on the handle the wall came with it. he thought the fixture was going to come off or even worse, the wall come off. when he lifted the handle on the spout to make the shower come on the spout was loose and almost came off. never, never use these people. they are horrible read more

I signed a contract with Bath Fitter on 1/27, with the need for a city permit which cost another $525.00 extra. I received a call in Feb/2017 that they wanted to schedule my installation. I was surprised that the permit process took so little time. I asked the caller if the permit came in, she told me I did not have a permit! I called the sales women who gave me a story and I never heard back from her. I then call and left a message with a supervisor, no return call. I called a few days later again asking for a supervisor who said he'd get back to me. He called back and said it would be 2 maybe 3 more days for the permit. I waited 2 weeks and called again and was sent to Christine, and left a message, I did this twice and did not receive a call back. I called a 3rd time and again asked for a supervisor and spoke to Dave who was very helpful. I called again and left a message for Christine to find out when the plumber would be here, no return call. I call again and asked for a supervisor, surprise and was told that the plumber would be here with a date. I called the day before the plumber arrived asking for an approximate time, yup left a message with Christine, NO call back. Again called and spoke to Dorian who was very helpful and found out the approximate time. I call after the plumber left to get an estimate of when the city inspector would arrive. Yup, left a message with Christine, NO call back. Today the installer came in did the job which I'm happy with but while he was here I called to find out what time tomorrow the city inspector would be here and yup left a message with Christine. You got it NO call back, so I called about 3 hrs after my first call and explained to Dorian and she got Christine on the phone. I was told by Christine that I had to wait to call the city tomorrow morning. I was OK with this but I asked Christine why she did not call me back and her answer was I'm working on it!!! This come needs to get rid of this person because I for one will probably never recommend them just because of my frustration with this person who seems to be the only person in scheduling. read more

Terrible customer service. For my next bathroom I will go for tile. I had a consultation on November 2014, paid half of the total cost (over $1800), they promised installation for February 2015. On March I had to call several times to inquire about an installation date, my bath got installed on April. The delay was because they didn't have the permit required by the city. I had to instruct them on how to get it. To my surprise the city inspector came back on July to tell me that the notice of commencement was not recorded with the appropriate gubernatorial entity and the permit was about to expire. The city sent me a copy of a letter sent to bath fitter indicating that the notice of commencement was not recorded and they have 30 days to comply. But....I as the owner am responsible for ensuring it's properly recorded because, well, it is my property. I have been going back forth with phone calls, messages and emails to bath fitter. Finally, decided to write a complaint with BBB yesterday and also called the sales rep. Today got an ineligibly scanned copy of the notice of commencement. I only have 6 more days to get the real thing to call the city for final inspection, or else, I will be in trouble. Their business practices are horrible. I've been communicating with them constantly and it's like nothing, they took my 4k, lied to me and walk away. I DO NOT recommend this company. read more
