When I…read morefirst walked in to the showroom, I met the owner Orlando, a smooth taking charismatic guy..... he had everything I was looking for... Soup to nuts! I ordered everything for my 2 brand new bathrooms.... from tiles, to vanities, to lighted mirrors, fixtures, etc. I spent almost $9000. Everything that I ordered, and I mean everything..I received...was wrong! He called & switched to tile on me because apparently they were out of stock. Then they delivered both vanities which I didn't order, then he asked me if I wouldn't mind substituting another bathroom shower faucet because the one I ordered was out of stock too. This was nothing but a complete headache! And when I called to let him his response was "just chill".."breathe. Honestly, I'm not one to hurt someone's business, but when I order something I expect to get the same thing that I ordered! I won't tell you not to shop there because he has great things in his showroom and he really gave me some awesome decorating tips too, but triple check your order... I mean open every single box even if the driver has to stay there and check your order! Sadly, what was supposed to be an exciting upgrade for me...was extremely disappointing in the end. Sorry.

Half Price Countertops is a no frills warehouse in Fort Lauderdale selling slabs of granite,…read morequartz, and quartzite. I think we ended up checking them out because they were open on a Sunday and we were pleasantly surprised! There was a nice variety of product and the service was excellent. I don't remember the name of our salesperson, only that I was amazed that he was still in high school but so poised and knowledgeable about countertops! We decided on a quartzite slab for our kitchen and got a very reasonable price. Half Price Countertops cuts, fabricates, and installs the slab. We had to wait for our cabinets to be installed first, but as soon as they were done we called, and Half Price Countertops was immediately ready to start the installation process. They did a beautiful job and the kitchen counters look amazing! We did have one small glitch where our dishwasher did not fit after installation. We called the company and spoke to the owner. He said he wanted to make sure we were completely happy and within a couple of days someone was there to fix the issue. We are extremely happy with our kitchen countertop and I would highly recommend this company: Great product, service, and value!

From day one, Bridget has been extremely helpful with design suggestions and most of all, with recommendations to Captiva's preferred contractors. We have had a lot of work done, from removal of popcorn ceilings, to retexturing ceilings, paint entire interior, demolition of walls and built-in furniture, new improved lighting, new master bath, plus guest bath and half bath suites, and even removal of ALL flooring (tile and carpets) and installation of new 32" tiles. Every contractor was on time, professional, clean, wore masks throughout the pandemic, and simply cared about their job. Tracey was bubbly and full of life. She was excited to help us. She provided us with about 20 fabric books at all price points. A week later we brought her the books back and indicated what fabric we chose. At that point she informed us that she need the deposit of the agreed upon price so she could purchase the fabric. She did indcate that she was working on several jobs and could not start our job until January 2025. We agreed. On December 19, 2024 we received a call from Tracey stating she needed a second deposit, which was not discussed in October, when I asked why Tracey's tone got a bit nasty and she informed us it was to hold our spot in the que. Reluctantly we sent her a second deposit with no real start date confirmed. It all went downhill from there. By the end of January we had not heard from her. We were constantly texting her. Finally in the middle of February she said to bring the chairs in. We did. March, April, May & June she told us she would have the chairs done. She lied and lied and continued to lie. She NEVER started them. Finally in July we demanded our chairs back and the fabric (ar this point we weren't even shore she purchased the fabric) When we picked up the untouched chairs the fabric was there. We demanded our 2nd deposit back immediately. She has only sent us a portion of our second deposit. She told us she has to check with her account. All this woman does is lie. She may be a very good upholstered but she sucks at business. My husband and I did nothing to Tracey to make her treat us like this. We were kind. Did as she asked but we were lied to over & over. I would not trust her, no matter how talented she is. What a disappointment.

Even though this place is upscale, the area itself is pretty seedy so I don't recommend going at night - the workers here are super uptight, like ridiculously so for such a non fancy area. They look you up and down to see if you can afford them which is ridiculous for many reasons. Number 1 not all wealthy people flaunt their wealth and wear head to toe brands and Rolex watches, especially on weekends when they are off. Some of the wealthiest people including Warren buffet are very modest in their way of living so this is just a dumb assumption. Number 2 it's not because you have head to toe Chanel that you are not in extreme debt and can actually afford stuff anyways. I so hate that attitude, so here's my rant of the day. I refuse to do business with someone that keeps telling me how the price she tells me is just for one tile and not by square foot and keep repeating it over and over like are you sure you can afford this? Like what are you assuming anything? Even if someone can't afford it, why do you care? So I wrote down the name and style of the tile, I looked it up and found a dealer near Boca Raton, where our 2nd home is, and will be giving them the business, just on principle. If you don't mind the snootiness then you might like this place!
