    My French bulldog!

    Writing another review for Andrea. We just picked up our 2nd Frenchie from her. After nearly 7 years of friendship, we decided that it was time to get Luciano a brother. Our puppy is adorable, sweet, and a curious little clown, just like our first one. He is adjusting so nicely and fits right into our home. We look forward to having these 2 become great pals, thanks to Drea. I've recommended 3 people to her that all bought frenchies as well and they are extremely happy, with beautiful loving frenchies. She's not just our dog breeder, but our friend who has always been there for us if we needed her opinion or input on anything. Wouldn't get a frenchie from anyone but her! Thank you Drea... we love our boys!!! By the way/ make sure you read the hidden reviews... they are all good... not sure why they don't come up.

    I used BAH years ago once but because of their prices I switched to another vet. The other day I…read moresent my younger brother there because it is much closer to us, and since he is new to the area, I didn't want him driving the longer distance to our regular vet. My mistake... After seeing the bill for services, which I felt was excessive in price and scope, I drove to the office where, as I was explaining my dissatisfaction to the receptionist/assistant, another customer began to chime in with, at first just her disagreement with what I was presenting, then later a verbal assault on me. I asked the lady to please refrain, I asked the receptionist/assistant to please have the other customer sit down since this wasn't her animal, but those requests were to no avail. It was obvious that the other customer likes BAH and that's all fine and dandy, but I prefer to discuss my issues with the staff, not the customers. The receptionist/assistant did nothing to stop this woman from using profanity and other derogatory language towards me. I would have liked nothing more than to give it back, but when you are the man in a situation like that, you will always be the bad guy. So I waited as the receptionist finally went and got the office manager, who I believe as another reviewer mentioned, is the doctor's wife. When she arrived she escorted me and my brother to another room where we discussed the billing questions and the front desk issue. In the end, the bill was credited for medications, etc. that I believe I can find elsewhere much less expensive. As I have two other dogs, I know that I have bought similar medications for less. Maybe not the exact brand so I cannot say that any particular brand they may not be cheaper and I will leave it at that. As for the front office issue I was given their apologies but to me the damage is done. I will never again set foot in that office and I would recommend to anyone who is considering using this facility to make sure you have looked at all others in the area before making your decision. Save yourself some grief. I wish I had stuck with my initial assessment and saved some grief for both myself and my brother. Edit 7/26/2013: Got contacted tonight by a new Yelp member who took an unusual amount of concern with my review. I can only guess, but that guess is that she is somehow associated with the animal hospital. Maybe, maybe not. I have heard from owners and managers in response to my review before but this was a bit over the top. Anyway, I stand by my review and if anyone wants to discuss it further, feel free to drop me a line. PS: I wonder if the other folks who wrote less than glowing reviews got the third degree from this person. For someone who only joined this July and with zero reviews of her own she sure had no problem writing several messages of several paragraphs each. Not really typical of the average Yelp review feedback I have seen. Edit 9/22/2013 I received yet another comment from someone who took exception to my review. They accused me on not being able to afford the care at BAH. Well, that's certainly not the case, and anyone who knows me can vouch for the fact that money isn't an object when it comes to the care of my animals.

They made the process as comforting as possible. The assistant even came out to my car and carried him inside for me. My regular vet had a recording on his phone that he was closed for 2 weeks and listed several other vets to use and Fortunately for me i chose this one. AL

    Very clean and friendly staff- can't take that away from them. But they are not very up front about…read morea couple things: 1) Pricing. They charge "per day." But really they mean "per date." My definition of a day is 24 hours. I dropped my two Great Danes off at 5 PM and picked up less than 24 hours later. I was charged $150. I asked if it was ever possible to be charged for a single day at all- they responded that only for "Doggie Day Care" is it possible for a dog to secure a one-day price. So, hypothetically speaking, if you dropped your dog off at 11:59 PM and picked up at 12:01 AM, they would call that "2 days." Called two other kennels before writing this review to make sure that wasn't industry standard. They said it was ridiculous. 2) I asked if they provided bedding, and they said they did. They knew I was boarding 2 Great Danes together in one kennel. They provided one raised bed for a medium sized dog. Would've been simple for me to provide my own had they just told me that. 3) They are open for two 2-hour windows per day, so plan carefully for pickup and drop off. I'm hoping that means "open-to-public" and they attend to the dogs more frequently then that, but I wouldn't put any bets down. Also, they told me a cash price over the phone that was not offered to me in person when I picked up. Not that I had the right amount on me anyway. I assumed, like a normal person would assume, that less than 24 hours fell in the "one day" pricing range. It's a shame. This kennel is near my house and I was looking forward to using them in the future. Nope.
