Incredibly rude owner. I sent her a message on instagram asking about her upcoming dogs (if there are any) and how to work with her going forward, as I am interested in getting a puppy from a good breeder. Her messages were short, apathetic, and condescending. I asked her if there is a way I could work with her on being on a waitlist, if there is one, or connect with her on putting in a deposit, to show intent of my purchase. She would respond "I don't know" with no information. It's confusing how unprofessional and unhelpful she is, when she supposedly has a legitimate business in helping people get a dog. She had no desire to provide information or to service me. She was incredibly rude. This is not how you treat potential customers and was really taken back. My Cockapoo, Bailey, came into my life two years ago. He Was five pounds when I brought him home and now weighs 17 pounds. Watching him grow from a feisty little pup into a beautiful teenager has been more than wonderful.. I was very conscientious about his training and it was worth all the time and effort. This past week, Bailey past the therapy test given by Intermountain Therapy Dogs. He will now be approved to visit patients in hospitals and the elderly in senior citizen homes. But I decided that Bailey and I will visit children who have problems learning to read. Statistics have shown that children with reading difficulties improve remarkably when a therapy dog is sitting near by while the child is trying to improve his skills. When I went to Mulberry Farms to select my puppy, Carol brought out 3 or 4 puppies. Three females and one male. I was told that Bailey was born without any fur on his head. Perhaps that is why he wasn't adopted earlier. He was several weeks older than the other pups. Although I wanted a female, he and I just connected. He was the dog for me. Carol told me to come back in a few days to pick him up. She bathed him and had all the necessary paraphernalia that I purchased ready for me. Since Bailey was my first dog in many years, I had a lot of questions. Carol was always available to offer advice. There are four Cockapoos in my family. Each one beautiful, smart and loving. We purchased a beautiful Cockapoo from Mulberry Farms, several years back and now have come to learn she has at least one terrible genetic issue. It seems that one if not both of the dogs used for breeding carried the gene which causes primary Canine Glacoma. Glacoma in dogs is different then in Humans because for dogs it always leads to pain and blindness. The pattern is the same, the first eye goes bad at about 8 -10 years and the 2nd eye fails 6 to 18 month later ( with expensive treatement). There is no notice of the problem, it is just BANG, the pressure builds so fast and crushes the optical nerve, The cause is a gentic condition where the drain is deformed. We are not talking about the tear ducts, but fluid in the eyeball just like humans. The tear ducts keep the eyes wet, we are talking about the drain in the eyeball, its not the tears, you cant see this fluid, nor the duct accept with a special tool called a Genionscope.... ask your Vet. Good breeders of Pedigreed Poodles or Cockers check for this problem before their dogs are used for breeding, so that the line is pure .... The problem can be found with a special eye examine before breeding called a Geniosopy starting at 6 months old. Its too late for our baby, We have spent thousands of dollars on medication and surgery, she is blind in one eye and is expected to go blind in the other and she just turned 8 years old. She is also in pain due to the build up in pressure and we are scheduled for another eye operation to relieve the pain. I recommend anyone who is reading this and purchased a puppy from Mulberry farms or any cockapoo breeder to have their dogs eyes checked using a procedure called a Gonioscopy, this will tell even when the dog is young if it has this terrible genetic problem. I wish I would known about this before I purchased my dog and would have asked harder questions of the breeder.... its not all about how pretty and cute the dog looks... its how healthy its going to be as it gets older. Please pray for my soon to be blind Cockapoo..... such a shame. read more

If you're considering buying a dog from here, I urge you to read this first: Carol accepted a down payment from my family for a particular dog. She sent us updates and photos of this dog, who we named Daisy, in advance of us picking her up. The day before Daisy was supposed to come home with us, my father called Carol to confirm the plan. Carol assured us everything was ready to go and that Daisy would join our family the very next day. When my parents arrived (driving three hours to Mullberry Farms, after having taken off from work to make the trip) Carol's daughter was there, waiting with a dog for us--who was not Daisy. This other dog was an entirely different color, and yet Carol's daughter insisted that it was our dog. My mom demanded to see Carol and to know what was really going on. Carol finally had the decency to come speak with my family and we ultimately discovered that Carol ignored our down payment/broke contract and had sold Daisy to another couple days before, because they had offered her more money for that particular dog. She had the audacity to try to pass another dog onto us, as if we would not notice. What makes matters worse is that, as I mentioned earlier, we had confirmed our plans to pick Daisy up just one day earlier and Carol had still blatantly lied to us, even knowing we were making this long trip. Carol has no loyalty to her customers--she only cares about how big your wallet is. Ultimately we got another cockapoo elsewhere, because of how disgusted we were with Carol's actions. If she did this to us, I'm sure she's done this to families before us, and will continue to do it to other families. If you are considering buying a dog from this woman, don't do it. There are many other dog breeders and cockapoos out there. Why, then, would you buy a dog from a woman who is known to be deceitful and a liar? read more

Beware When my husband, my 6 year old son and I first met Carol Bobrowsky at Mulberry Farms back in February of this year, my gut told me to walk away. She was curt and sarcastic, made a few snide comments about past customers, and openly rolled her eyes with her daughter when I had trouble sitting "criss cross apple sauce" on her rug to meet the puppies. I also saw a scary temper flare when one of her workers startled her by accidentally bumping into her. She just about tore the guy's head off. I didn't get a good vibe at all. But I'd read SO many great reviews and testimonials on her website from happy dog owners that I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. HUGE mistake. We picked up our adorable 8 week old puppy in mid May, the runt of the litter, for whom we paid $3500. Her name is Luna. Carol gave us explicit instructions about crate training, and I had a crate ready for Luna before I even brought her home. Luna immediately started soiling her crate after very short periods of confinement (15 minutes), which is a clear indication that she learned this behavior before we ever brought her home. I tried to work with her for a couple of weeks to break her of this habit, but had no luck. Luna is a very sweet girl and I love her to pieces, but she lacks the cleanliness instinct inherent to dogs. I called Carol looking for advice, and was immediately attacked. She blamed me for waiting too long to call her for help, that she CLEARLY told me to call her IMMEDIATELY if I had any trouble. I said I'm sorry I was just trying to deal with the issue myself since I have raised a puppy before. She became hostile. I asked her to please stop being combative, that I really just need some advice. She said "this is just the way I talk." She told me to keep the puppy tethered to me 24 hours a day for a week (and sleep on the couch if my husband didn't like it) in order to house train her. As the mother of a kindergartener, this is almost impossible, but I tried my best. Taking her out practically every 30 minutes, rewarding her good behavior, etc. But this little puppy will do her business anywhere without warning if you so much as turn your head to take a sip of coffee, even if she just did it 15 minutes ago. I'm worried she has a muscle control problem. Carol said if I couldn't manage it she would take her for a couple of weeks and train her for me, since I clearly didn't know what I was doing. I asked my husband to call her about 10 days later to take her up on her offer. My husband was completely stunned by her hostility (he thought I was exaggerating). She yelled at him as well, told him all the troubles with the puppy were my fault, and "maybe you people aren't dog people, maybe you shouldn't have a dog." My husband calmly explained that we have a beautiful 11 year old Black Lab who I trained myself when he was a puppy. Carol said "oh." She said she was too busy and to call her back in about 10 days when she would be free to help us. So 10 days later, my husband called her again, a smile in his voice despite her previous hostility (because we were really desperate for help), and said we were looking forward to seeing her and looked forward to her help and direction. She yelled at him some more, and said your wife did everything wrong, it's all her fault. He said that may be, but we REALLY need some help here. To that she said, "well I can't help you, I'm too old for this." My husband asked her then if she would take the puppy back because after two months, we were very frustrated and couldn't manage her without help. She said, "no, I'm not taking her back, go hire a trainer." My husband reiterated, "so you're refusing to help us in any way?" She yelled "I DON'T EVEN WANT TO KNOW YOU," and slammed the phone down. So. That's the kind of person you'll be dealing with if you buy from Carol Bobrowsky. She was clearly a lovely and reputable breeder at one time, but she has obviously turned a corner in her life and is now just churning them out with no regard for how they turn out, and NO intention of providing any help or support to the families. I'm completely dumbfounded by the treatment we received from Carol Bobrowsky. It's shameful. read more

I purchased a cockapoo from Carol in February 2014 and have had a lot of problems with my dog. We love him and are doing everything to help him, but I think that potential buyers should be aware of our experience. Our dog has two problems. First, he has aggression. He's been to many vets and trainers in NYC, and they all come to the same conclusion. He has an extreme level of aggression that manifested itself when he was just a tiny 10 week puppy. Because the aggression is so intense and started at such a young age, we have repeatedly been told that it's genetic. One trainer told me that she has worked with several Mulberry Farm cockapoos with these same problems. The second problem is digestive - he has had a long-time pattern starting puppyhood of vomiting and diarrhea. His problems will get better, only to flare up over and over again. It's been a string of problem after problem. Lest you think that we are responsible for these problems... our little guy was brought into a loving home with around-the-clock care, plenty of socialization with humans and dogs, healthy organic pet food, and obedience training right from the start. In hindsight, there were a few things about Mulberry Farm that made me nervous. Specifically, we were not allowed to meet the parents nor to see the litter mates - neither on their own nor with their mother. Carol had an excuse that some of the puppies are bred by "her partner in Massachusetts" and he never allows visitors. If you read the Humane Society guide to Finding a Responsible Breeder, you will see that this violates their main principals. If I were a breeder, I would want to know about them. I do not want her to take him back nor am I seeking any money from Carol. Yes she has had a few minor medical issues along the way but this breeder and her community of cockapoo owners has provided me with plenty of support in dealing with them. I called Carol the owner late February/ early March about getting a cockapoo. She was not the friendliest but I had known people who had gotten good cockapoos from her in the past. She doesn't take deposits. I checked in with her through the next few months and I just had a funny feeling something was going to fall through. Last week she looked at her list and we weren't on it. I know this is a crazy time (covid/quarantine) and everyone and their mom wants a dog so the waitlists are long. She continually told me our puppy would be born the first few weeks of May. She has been uploading pics on her fb and instagram and each time i asked her about them. She has said they are promised. Now she's saying she's not expecting any more pups for 6-8 weeks. My adorable and lovable cockapoo scratches all day and all night anywhere she can reach for long periods at a time. I've had her to vets and to animal hospitals. Last year, my family and I put a deposit down on a cockapoo at Mulberry Farms. For over a month, we received regular updates about our puppy and had photographs of her. We had also already named her. We were completely emotionally attached to her, and were counting down the days to pick her up. The day before we were supposed to get her, Carol called us and confirmed that all was well. We travelled many hours and spent a lot of money on our journey to pick up our puppy. However, when we arrived at Mulberry Farms, our dog was not there. Carol's daughter pointed to a dog that looked nothing like ours, and simply said, "here's your puppy!" Immediately, I said, "No, this isn't our dog..." Carol's daughter played dumb. "Oh, really?" she said. "Maybe your dog is in the back..." Carol's daughter left and returned with her mother. Carol proceeded to tell us that she had "accidentally" sold our dog to a couple in Connecticut, but we could have a different dog. I asked for my deposit back and left. The Connecticut couple had offered Carol a larger sum of money for our dog, so she gave our puppy away without telling us, lied to us, still allowed us to travel that great distance, and even tried to see if she could successfully sell us a different dog without us noticing. read more

We got our Schnoodle , Remmie, from Carol almost 14 years ago and it has been an incredible experience raising him. We will never forget going to pick him up at the farm. Just to clarify, I only switched dog food once and 2 years later he's still on the same prescription food. I've been told that Inflammatory Bowel Disease is probably hereditary. And the owner never offered to have me return him for a full refund and even if she had I wouldn't have. I just wanted some sort of compensation for what has wound up being a very expensive undertaking. I love my Schnoodle very much. He's fragile but lovable. We purchased an 8-week old Cockapoo in July of 2008. Cassidy is now almost 6 years old and is the delight of our lives. We have had Cockapoos in the past - but Cassidy is the best bred dog we've ever owned.
