I came in here for the first time a few days ago, having heard good things from my friends and coworkers about the establishment. However, as I was shopping, the employees began to stare at me from behind the counter. I felt very uncomfortable while browsing the selection and decided to look at the jewelry. I grabbed a necklace from the display and began to look at It. I accidentally dropped the necklace (100% my fault), which caused the gem on It to break. I picked It up and looked around for an employee and one was standing right behind me! i immediately offered to pay full price for the damaged item, since I had caused the damage. The employee took me to the register where they proceeded to lecture me for 10+ minutes about how this hurt the business tremendously and how they weren't going to charge me full price, since it's damaged. The employees also asked me questions about what I would do if I owned the business in this scenarioI said that I should pay full price since I had broken it, but they refused without giving me a new pendant. I paid the discounted price (not my choice) and left. I wanted to like this place, but guilt tripping customers like children for clear accidents? Not cool.
