A must stop while in Peddlers Village. Very genuine and unique products that made great gifts (and to treat yourself)!

I'm not sure it's worth the trip to Peddlers' Village just on it's own, but if you're there already it is well worth the stop.

I was particularly drawn to the pottery pieces, as I found a beautiful textured blue and white bowl to add to my burgeoning kitchen collection. The shop is a treasure cave and winds around down the stairs, with intricately decorated rooms dotted with unique pieces and creations. The owner Dominick was super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him. Definitely pay this unique little place a visit if you find yourself in the Doylestown area.

I found a cute little pink and green teapot that made me go "ooh." Be careful to check the price tags to make sure you're paying the right price though! The teapot had a reused price tag with the correct teapot price on one side and another (much higher) price for a different item on the other side. Just make sure they scan the right tag. I also saw some nice little ramekins, but wound up going with the teapot instead. Couldn't stop thinking about the ramekins though, so I started looking online to see if there was anything similar. Turns out both the ramekins and the teapot are available for a cheaper price on Amazon. Not just "similar" items--the exact same ones. Felt a little swindled, but at the same time I guess I'm supporting a local business. Still, it would be nice if they offered products that are more unique and not just off Amazon with a new price tag. If I go back I'll definitely do my homework first.

The shop/outdoor rental place is in a barn across the road from the river and although it looks like a good size from the outside, I was blown away when I went in. Kayaks and bicycles can be rented by the day, and inner tubes and pumps purchased, taking care of river recreation needs. But allow a LOT of extra time for shopping in the rest of the store when you return your gear-- the rest of the 6,000 square feet of renovated barn is chock full of fun gifts, books, clothing, outdoor gear, backpacks, water shoes, jewelry, cute housewares and all sorts of upscale souvenirs to the point where I could have spent the entire day browsing. They also have a partnership with local nature organization supporting the Sourlands, so there is a good cause to support while shopping, and some interesting local guides available in the book section. In the age of internet retail, having a place like this to explore is priceless (although I think they also do internet sales and gift baskets too). Will definitely be back, hopefully very soon.

Small selection of clothing without many sizes (almost no plus sizes - was looking for a gift). Was informed that there was an increase in prices because of an Jrish tax. I've been to other Irish stores - most memorably Donegal Square in Bethlehem. If you're familiar, this store is a fraction of the size but has some more unique pieces. Donegal Square has more variety and options. Purchased a hat for $21 as a gift, a magnet for $5 and some candy. Pretty standard pricing. Nothing extreme or unreasonable. Most of the sweatshirts were $40-$50. Didn't look at any specialty items like sweaters or capes. Unfortunately the hat I got as a gift doesn't work for the recipient so I'll be calling about their return policy since their online website only states online return policy. I'll probably keep the hat myself since it would cost more for me to drive back there since I'm in Jersey. Reason for 4 stars is mostly due to the experience I had I came at 4:30 on a Sunday night. The store closes at 5. The lady working really didn't want me there and didn't say anything to me until I approached her after a few minutes needing help. We started chatting but she was very wishy washy not giving me clear answers, telling me that I can call back when the manager is there. It was probably a one off thing and she was just tired from the night but it rubbed me the wrong way.

What an incredible place to visit! We visited this shop while on a day trip to Peddler's Village,…read moreand it made for an incredible experience! First, and foremost, the staff here are wonderful. They are patient, kind, attentive, and answered our questions (trust me, we had A LOT of them). The shop specializes in high quality German items, such as steins, wooden goods, gifts, Christmas ornaments, hand-made items, German meats and treats, and most importantly: hand-made cuckoo clocks. This is what we were here for. We picked up some gifts for loved ones before visiting their VAST cuckoo clock collection. The staff gave us demonstrations of each, pointing out the features and differences. They were truly incredible works of hand-made art. Needless to say, we purchased our very own hand-made clock and were absolutely thrilled to own it. Are prices a little steep? I guess some would say so. However, I'd remind them of the immense quality of everything in this shop, most of it being hand-made. Such types of items rarely exist anymore, and we were pleased to support such a business. Check it out! You won't be sorry!

We visited the store two times before ordering, and both times they took their time with us, giving us an education on the various types and options. Although they have MANY clocks in stock, when we made our decision they had to order our clock, and it was shipped directly from Germany to our house. When we hung it up, several of the moving parts were not working. The owner worked with me over the phone (using Facetime) trying to get it working. It was decided that I would take the clock to them the next morning, and they would look at it in person. John looked at it, and within 20 minutes spotted the problem AND had it corrected! It seems that a small string from the horse and wagon got tangled up in a gear, probably during shipping. From my first contact with them about the clock not working, I felt very good about trusting them to work with me. They did that without question. They seemed to be concerned about it and I feel they went above and beyond what I expected! If you are thinking about buying a clock from them, do NOT hesitate! They stand behind their sales, and do everything they can to make the customer happy!!!
