She gave just the right amount of info, answered my questions, and made me feel so welcomed. They have like LITERALLY EVERY SCENT you could ever dream up. I have forever wanted a tomato vine scented candle. BOOM. Honeycomb? Gotchu. Potting Soil? ....... Wait. POTTING SOIL?! Yep! They nailed it and it smells amazing. Literally amazing. I was having a hard time decided amongst all the options, so she showed me the "Grab Bags." I think they were like $26, and inside it is guaranteed to have at least 3 of their full size candles and a fourth item. She did preface it by saying it may be an off season scent, or maybe the label wasn't perfect or some other tiny defect, but I was down. Their regular candles are $16 each - so this grab bag is a DEAL! Plus I like an adventure. I was STOKED to see I got three of their regulars, all GREAT more general scents, and then a beautiful green jar with a Christmas scent. I am pretty sure I will just go grab a surprise bag every month. But seriously, stop in, support local, and leave feeling amazing. Great job Lit&Co i am a Huge, Huge Fan.

Hmmm... Ok this was my first time in this wonderful little…read morestore. 1st, being in Hyde Park Neighborhood, the name is pretty fantastic. You can see from across the street how do incredible this place is. The big windows allow you to get a great idea and you are truly drawn in. There is so much to look at. SO MUCH! It's awesome. It reminds me of a honey craft type store that I would shop at with my mom when she lived back home...and the type of store we would still go to together. She would LOVE this store. However, I'm pretty sure this isn't the typical type of little craft store lol. Everything looks like a homey antique, but (and yell at me if I'm wrong) I'm pretty sure everything in there is brand new. The store is legit brilliant. You could spend a GREAT amount of time in there and still miss something haha! They have so much! Wait, I said that already, huh? Well, I'll probably say it again because OMG! So much! Hahaha! The lady working there was very nice. Immediately asked if we needed help and after a bit asked again. Great customer service. Every piece in there is so unique and wonderful. I'm don't want repeat myself too much here haha! One thing, it's a cute little store with SO MUCH (See, I keep saying it lol) and it is a north end store. So, expect to pay a little more at this place. The location, sure, but more so because of how unique their stuff is. Lots of things for all over the house and outside your house. Lawn ornaments and whatnot. Really Is a beautiful store. I'll definitely go back, I'll definitely bring newbies there because IIIIIII am no longer a newbie! My Hyde and Seek cherry is.....know what, never mind. That would have been an inappropriate comment to make hahahaha! I am no longer a newbie tho and will be so excited to show people this store because it is that great! Knick knacks, jewelry, furniture, some toys (really cute toys) home decor, and on and on is what you will find here. If you haven't been, you need to! You won't regret it! Also, it's super important for us to support our local businesses! Especially ones as special as this little store. Thanks for reading, Yelpereees! Cheers!

The only part I'm sad about is they don't have a website I can shop! There were some really neat things in store I would definitely buy and have shipped because they wouldn't fit in my suitcase.

Lark & Larder is a Boise neighborhood market that opened in October 2018. Located in a nondescript…read morestrip mall, it offers "local and regional products from farmers, producers, artists and makers." Although Lark & Larder is within close walking distance of my home, I am embarrassed to share that I visited for the first time on 7/24/21. It is no exaggeration to say it was life-changing. I love the the Boise Farmer's Market (BFM) which reopened their "walk-through" at the end of May. It is open on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. The summer before last, I visited the market fairly regularly, but this summer I haven't gone once. Imagine my surprise when I learned Lark & Larder carries items from many of my favorite BFM vendors. I was elated! Lark & Larder's vendors include: Acme Bread City Peanut Kelley Orchards Fiddlers Green Farm Purple Sage Farm Ohana No-Till Farm Ferranti Fresh Pasta Brush Creek Creamery Kimberly's Best Ballard Family Cheese Mountain Valley Farmstead McIntyre Pastures Irish Dexter Grass Fed Beef Malheur River Meats Fairweather Fish Morning Star Acre The Chocolat Bar MFT Sauces Zursun Idaho Heirloom Beans Peaceful Belly/Stack Rock Cidery I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of the two pints of Fiddlers Green Cherry and Sungold Tomatoes I bought ($4.50 each). The cherry tomatoes were the best I've eaten in years. I loved the Sungold too, though they had a much more subtle flavor. I bought snack sized bags of Roots Potato Chips, a "farm to fork" product from a small, family farm in Aberdeen, Idaho. I got one of each of the three flavors available: Idaho Russet Sea Salt, Mild Jalapeño, and Sea Salt & Vinegar ($1.29 each). All three flavors were excellent! Now I'm on the hunt for the Barbecue flavor. I bought Kelley Orchards "The Ultimate Mix" ($20), a 20 ounce bag of dried fruit that includes Pears, Pluots, Plums, White Peaches, Yellow Peaches, Fuji and Granny Smith Apples. I've bought different varieties of their dried apple rings before, but this is the first time that I've purchased "The Ultimate Mix." I love that it has no additives and no preservatives. Delicious! Olympia Provisions is an Artisan Charcuterie business out of Portland, Oregon. Their products are hard to find in Idaho. Lark & Larder carries a nice variety of them. I scored their last packet of OP Uncured Pork Frankfurters ($10.99). If you order them directly from the company, you'll pay $15, not including shipping. I noticed that on a number of other items, Lark & Larder charges considerably less than you would pay if buying directly from the vendors' website. For example, one of the Ballard cheeses I liked up was $4 less a pound. I don't know how they manage to offer those kinds of prices, but it is all the more reason to shop there. Location: 233 N Orchard St. Boise Hours: Tuesday through Friday - 10 AM to 6:30 PM Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM Highly Recommended!!!

Located on 6th street, this shop is your one stop shop for all things Idaho, handmade and incredibly special. You can find blown glass, textiles, soaps, lotions, chocolate, peanuts, ornaments, shave oils, cutting boards, games, mugs, vases, ornaments and so much more. Most of my favorite makers were there (think Ladybug Press, Sawtooth Glass Project, City Peanut Shop, All Spun Up, Sage Woolens, etc.) It felt like a holiday craft bazaar that is open year round and housing the very best products. I found the selection to be varied and affordable. You could find things for men, women, children, pets and even yourself! It bears repeating that you are paying for handcrafted, small-business wares. It is not going to have the same price tag as a manufactured good from a big box store. It will be a higher price tag. I like to think that I'm paying for a story. My purchased items contain all the love, hope, and hard work that each maker poured into their product. I love to give handmade stuff for gifts and I think they are appreciated a lot more than something I could ship from Amazon. The shop keepers were lovely. I think they are some of the makers, but it was so very busy when I went in that I didn't want to bog them down with conversation. If you are looking for special presents, this is the place to go. Enjoy all the treasures.
