Lush has always been one of my go to joints to get face masks and bath bombs. This place never disappoints. Came in today to grab a couple things for Christmas and for myself. I wasn't greeted right away. There was several of us that walked in at the same time. No a problem since there was quite a few of to say hello to. Someone did eventually greet me. I knew what I wanted and grabbed what I needed. I was looking for a new face mask. They used to have a refrigerated face mask called The Sacred Truth and that mask was money! It was so good but of course good things don't always last. They discontinued it so I have been trying to find a good replacement for it. The sales associate helped me out and suggested a couple things. I did grab Magnaminty today. I have used it before but it's been a while so hopefully it's as good as I remember. I'm Not surprised that Lush is at the Village especially with Charming Charlie on one side and VS and LuLuLemon on the other. Not sure what Lush is? You don't have to look just smell. Lush offers natural soaps, body washes, cosmetics, and shampoos. This is where boyfriends and husbands get dragged and come out with a bag or two. But that's what I thought when I went in for the first time and it changed on my subsequent visits. If you're guy and you're looking for Manly Man smells like a naked guy riding a horse on a white sand beach, you won't find it. Those smells rightfully belong to Axe, Old Spice, Dial and the rest. But hey, don't walk out yet, I know the fragrance is strong so let me explain. There are the benefits 1. All Natural ingredients. No chemicals. Know what you're putting on your head and your skin. If you can't pronounce it or you don't know what it is or what it does, why would you put it on your scalp or skin? 2. In the long run, it's cheaper. - What ?!?!?! I know I see your face while you're reading this review. Hear me out. Let's talk about shampoo. A regular bottle of who knows what's inside for $3.99. You probably got about 1-2 months use depending on how much and how frequently. You'll won't be able to get what's at the bottom of the plastic bottle unless you dilute it with the top off and swish it around. On average you'll have about 50-60 washes. Then you gotta throw away the bottle. The shampoo bar at Lush is about 10-12 bucks. It's the size of macaroon ( if you don't know what that this, it's a French cookie.) How about as round as Half Dollar Coin but 1.5 inches thick or tall. The shampoo bar is great for several reasons. 1. Up to 90 washes - Yeah 90 washes .13 per wash 2. Environmentally friendly - No more plastic bottles anywhere 3. No problem with traveling - It's shampoo bar. It's not a liquid. HA! - TSA Agents!!!!! The staff is super friendly and they know their products. There are about 100-200 different types of personal hygiene stuff so my recommendation is to start with shampoos and conditioners and then work from them. Ask for a catalog to take home as it will help you with all their products. Now, don't be the super macho guy when going in but if you do, you'll be coming out smelling like a Rock Star - A chart-topping hit with an irresistible vanilla scent and a luxurious lather. OR Outback Mate - Zingy Eucalyptus, lemongrass, and peppermint are a wake-up call for your skin and mood. BUT wait there's more!!!! Yes, yes, yes to all the pretty bath bombs and pretty-colored, delicious smelling, natural products. This business is all around amazing. Incredible products (that are honestly produced), ethical sourcing of products that benefit charities and communities across the globe, and friendly employees in their stores to educate you about it! The second you walk in the store, expect your nose to be overwhelmed with lovely smells coming at you from all directions and your eyes to be overwhelmed by all the pretty colors of their products. But just wait until you go home and try out the products for yourself! I have yet to try one I don't like. The face masks? Awesome. And they make your face feel so fresh and so clean. The bath bombs? Obsessed. (Try out the sakura. It's kind of underrated because it doesn't give you a color explosion in the bathtub like some of the other ones do. But it smells lovely.) The lotions? Fantastic! When my skin gets dry in the winter, scented lotions tend to irritate it. These lotions don't! Bonus points for smelling good and being awesome for sensitive skin. I had such a great experience with Josie. I came into the store looking to upgrade my bath routine to help improve my stress management. Josie was incredibly thoughtful and knew products that would help with soreness and aches. Later she would show me this massage bar that has been delightful and hydrating. My first time at a Lush location! I asked a lot of questions that were answered by their knowledgeable staff. I look forward to using their products. Update : ok, even though the customer service was great, I had to downgrade my original rating because of the products. I went their specifically for their bar shampoo and conditioner, which I ended up buying along with a mask. After using the shampoo and conditioner a few times, I am disappointed in the quality of the product. The shampoo bar falls apart and you have to reshape it and hope it stays together. The conditioner melts away really quickly. I have both bars on their own soap holders so that they don't sit in water. I would buy the face mask again and the Shangra- la moisturizer but give up on the bar shampoo/ conditioner. read more

I purchased a bomb on 12/14, just used it and it didn't dissolve like they usually do and the most disturbing part is I found a wad of black hair in the bomb and a nasty mushy slimy part that wouldn't disolve! This is the first LUSH location in our area, so it's no wonder that the place was absolutely packed for their Grand Opening party this past Saturday. It was my first time inside. I was impressed by the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. They were well-trained and could answer any of the questions I had about the products. Although the shop is rather small, the variety of lotions, bath bombs, face masks, shave creams, and other bath/beauty items is astounding. The company is very environment-conscious, opting to keep many items un-packaged and other packaging is 100% recycled. They also have a container trade-in program. Because many items are out in the open, the fragrances could be overwhelming to anyone sensitive to scents. read more

I discovered Lush when a friend gifted me with a bath bomb for my birthday last fall. Since then, I found their location at the Village and am there at least monthly - if not more. First off, I adore this company as a whole. I'm a fan of anyone who focuses on lessening their footprint, hand-makes products, and fights animal testing! They're extremely innovative and continually seek ways to be better. This Lush location is a prime example of what the company works to represent. Each time I've been in, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There is a large selection of products and the bath bombs are beautifully displayed. Plus, they always send me with the latest catalog and a sample of a new product. I also love that Lush focuses on naked packaging! Their shampoo bars are a prime example of that. I walked into this Lush location as a first-time customer and not knowing what products I really wanted. I explained my skin "wants" to Cheyenne and she was great about demo-ing different products on the back of my hands for me. She also seemed to sense that I was in a bit of a hurry - so while still being helpful, we still moved along pretty quickly! If I'd have wanted to linger, I'm sure that would have been fine, too. I purchased a facial cleanser, moisturizer, and scrub, and so far am very pleased with all three items. She threw in a little sample of eye cream too! I want to express what an unpleasant experience I had three times this week at your Meridian location. Next year I will not purchase secret Santa gifts for work from Lush. My first experience involved being told I couldn't pick up my items because in using PayPal under my husbands name the receipt was emailed to him and he was not with me or available. Common sense should tell a person that if know what is in the order, have the same last name, know what account number was used to pay for it then an imposter is not trying to steal bath bombs. Come on! Then I made another purchase. Showed up at 705pm to pick it up. Facebook lists hours until 8pm in Meridian but they close at 7pm. I knocked on the window and the associates would not walk to the door to talk to me. So I called from my cell phone standing in the rain. They would not release my order to me because they closed 5 minutes ago. I understand not opening the door if counting money for safety but this was not the case. I asked if they could hand me my purchase as they left the store to go home since they said they couldn't open the door. So I waited outside in the rain until almost 8pm when they exited the store and gave me my purchase after checking my ID. When I went to hand out the gifts all 3 Santa gifts were covered in whatever substance was in the sample containers. It was disgusting and I had to give them that way or not have any gifts to give and make a 3rd trip to Meridian to bring them back. Your staff are not helpful and would rather let someone request a refund and cancel their order than to use common sense to fix the problem. I will not do business here again nor will I have anything positive to say to anyone else about this business again. Myself, my mom and my sister had a fabulous first visit to this store today! We had never been in before and so therefore didn't really know what the store was all about. Being typical girls out and about though we had to check out everything in the store and man was it fun! They have such a great variety of fun products! The staff was very helpful too, they checked in on us but werent overly pushy. If we had any questions on anything like a "shampoo bar" for example they were glad to tell us all about them and what ones might be best for our hair. If I could give my experience at this store and with the store manager, Samantha, a negative number I would. Samantha treated me so poorly I am having to file a complaint against her. I was waiting in the outside line to get into the store with my mother and sister and I got out of the line to take a phone call from my husband and when I returned she immediately confronted me and told me I had to get to the back of the line. I was so surprised I immediately thought she thought I was cutting in line and that I didn't know the people I got in line with. When I explained that I was with my mother and sister she didn't want to hear anyone of it and asked me to go to the back of the line. Two people walked out of the store and so my mother let my sister and I go in and take the two spots. Then when I turned around Samantha was telling my mother she had to go to the back of the line in my place. I immediately asked what the problem was she said the customers in line were upset so I turned to the customers and asked if they minded if us three women went in to the store together and I explained the situation. None of the other people standing in line appeared upset or bothered by me stepping out of the line and then returning back and they all said they didn't mind at all. My mother then followed me back into the store and quickly bought something so as not to take up the extra space in the store and let more people in. When she left I was followed by an employee while I walked around and then a security guard entered the store and followed me around like I was a criminal. When I asked why he was following me around Samantha said that she called him because I was raising my voice at her and she felt I was a danger. I'm 5'2 on a good day! It was the most ridiculous and appalling experience I have ever encountered in a store. I was treated with such disrespect, I will never enter that store again. It's very sad to see someone taking their role of, "power," way too far! I'm waiting to hear back from Customer Service and will be explaining this whole experience to them. read more

This is the worst Lush I have been too. I walked in, and a couple of girls were chatting in the corner, and looked at me like I did not exist. I asked about some new products, and the information was so minimal and the girl clearly did not want to be there. It was a 'do you wanna buy it?' kind of description. It ended up the actual manager was one of the girls chatting in the corner. Then she left the store in a hurry without helping any customers. Being someone in the cosmetics retail scene for 2+ years now, I fully know what is considered good customer service. Not only do the staff here have little to no knowledge about products, but they truly are some of the brattiest bunch I've had the horrid displeasure of dealing with. Openly complaining about shifts, other coworkers, personal lives and being extremely rude/unprofessional is no way to impress any potential client. The "non existent manager" "Sarah" or Samantha seems to literally never be present. I've called on multiple occasions to possibly get some insight and to no avail. I know so many good people who work for various LUSHes and this location is a bad representation of how they should be run. Please don't waste your time or money at this place. I will be writing corporate about what a bad impression the employees and management have left on the community, and being the only location in the state, is detrimental. I've had clients coming to MY STORE across town having a similar experience, thus it spreads. These are the "cosmetics retail barbies" to avoid like the Plague. read more

This Lush has to be one of the best I have ever been to. Not my local Lush, I actually went in while I was on vacation. The two girls that were working at the time, Hailee and Heather, far surpassed my expectations. They were so sweet and awesome, my local Lush doesn't compare. Hailee even managed to find me the last sample of dark angels, which I had been dying to try but it had unfortunately been discontinued. I have heard about Lush for years and was excited to give them a try when they opened this location at The Village. I was not greeted or asked for help and I had to approach an associate for help. There were four associates gossiping around the register for the majority of my visit. For a higher end bath and body store, I expect a certain level of customer service, especially since I had never seen any of the products before. I bought three items and just from playing around with them like them and that is why I rated 2 stars and not 1. I probably will not return to the store, but more likely to shop online. read more

can I just say that I am an avid Lushy, I love that place but dear god, every time I go in there, the staff is just....how do I say it, nose stuck high in the air. I went to Lush in Canada, and when I asked about my favorite shampoo bar that I have been using but had a question about. She told me it was a great moisturizing shampoo bar, when I saw the name, it didn't correlate "Squeaky Green" does not implicate moisture..I wouldn't think. She was obviously mis-trained, but that's retail for you. I heard a bunch of the staff talking about how horrible their boss was and how they were all looking for new jobs. I understand that your job sucks, but I don't care to hear about it while I'm shopping. Leave your drama out of my shopping experience, thanks so much. funny thing was, as I was walking about, a girl that I ended up finding out was the boss, was on the phone outside of the store, talking about how she just wanted to fire her entire staff. I didn't know that she was the manager, until I saw a Lush staff member come outside to get her attention, and when the manager finally looked up, she told her to hold on, that she was on an important call.
