It's also a great gift giving resource for that Great Lakes aficionado. You'll find a unique selection of food and crafts that are part of the incredibly successful "Made in Michigan" campaign. We found a few nifty home decor adornments, Michigan shaped cutting boards and chip/dip dispensers. Trouble is we don't want to use them. They have a cooler full of different pops Michiganders grew up with and some new ones, too. Anytime you have a specialty store like this, expect to pay a lot. This shop is no exception. You get what you pay for. If you're good with the prices, basically, all that's left is Sparty or Wolverine??? 10/19

My reason is the season to enjoy and create a mood booster with a great scented candle…read more I always make a stop in here a few times a year based on the seasons: Spring, Summer and Fall in route on my way home from up north. I will not buy any other brands but Yankee. Since PartyLite brand is a higher price I know Yankee has a strong scent and is always true based on my different choices. It's located in the Prime Outlets at Birch Run exit off I-75 freeway north or south based one's driving skills. It is next door to the Haggar men's clothing at the end of the back lot near the freeway. Today my mission was tea-lights, reed diffusers and 3 jar candles for three birthday gift ideas. I can always shop till I drop here or until the basket is so full, my arm and hands hurt from the weight :) Kelsey was very pleasant upon my walking in the door with a smile and ready to assist me with my list. She was very knowledgeable with old and current new scents for holidays ! This store sells certain scents that are hard to find or scents that are being discontinued, or out of season for a 50% off price. This is an outlet, warehouse clearance store you can and will find many scents to your liking in tart melts, tealights, jars and plug-ins, reed diffuser, and auto air fresheners. If anyone is looking for a holiday scent called "Cranberry Chutney" that has been discontinued through Yankee website or Meijer, Bed Bath or Target stores, look no further... Its here at this Yankee Outlet store. I didn't buy the whole stock, only the tealights to burn in my kitchen for Christmas holiday. As always in the past and today on Sunday the 21st, I completed my visit in 30 minutes. I was very pleased, happy and satisfied with my purchases and also the extra help from Cassidy when she was walking through the store helping other customers. One candle that I did purchase, which I forgot to photograph and its already gone as a gift was a 1 wick jar candle called "Bourbon Vanilla Sugar". A perfect mild scented candle for a party person to use in their basement at their bar! Last year I bought a "Beer" scented jar candle along with a Bacon scented jar from this store and their scents were highly aromatic! Stop in here after shopping at other outlet stores in Birch Run. You will see, enjoy and shop the walls and walls of many candles with so many awesome seasonal scents for your home or for inexpensive thoughtful gifts.

My husband wantd to smell all of the teas and he couldn't decide which one he wanted to buy. They ranged in prices but a small bag was $14 for the tea but it smelled so amazing and fragrant. They had so many options. They even had a variety of jettles to use as well. They sold tea at the back counter if you wanted a drink. On the middle section they had a bunch of spices. On the right wall, theybhad miced seasonings and spices. My husband picked up some black pepper. The seasonings all smelled so amazing. I learned that they have another location closer to where we live which was exciting. The customer service was great too and they were helpful.

I candle smelled awesome at the store and I love fall so I picked it up. OMG this Pumpkin Donuts + Nutmeg candle is my absolute hands-down favorite fall sent ever! My fiancé even agrees and he is not a fan of my candle collection typically. I went back to the antique store a couple weeks later and they didn't have the scent and I was crushed. I reached out and unfortunately it was already out of season so they didn't have any more. I put a reminder on my calendar for this fall to check out the website and not only did they have the candle but they had it in different forms and also I was able to score some free shipping ! If you are a fan of candles, fall, pumpkins, donuts, nutmeg or all of the above I highly recommend you head over to their website and pick up this candle scent!!! Now that I received my new shipment I can burn my first candle as much as I want! I've been using it sparingly because I wanted to make sure that it lasted as long as possible for the season

However, I've noticed a consistent pattern that's made me increasingly uncomfortable. Each time we're in the store, the staff behaves as if we're being watched closely--asking if we want items held at the counter or having an employee follow us under the pretense of folding shirts while we browse. I've spent over $100 here so far and don't appreciate being treated with suspicion. Having worked in retail myself, I'm familiar with the signs of someone being monitored because they're assumed to be stealing, and that's how it feels every time I shop here. I really like the shop's selection--especially the Jellycats--but there are other local stores that carry similar products. I'm willing to give the shop one more chance, but if I experience this same treatment again, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

However, in my opinion, the true stars are the soy wax candles. They are all lovingly handmade by the proprietor Pam in the back of her cottage. She experiments with different scents and even uses wooden wicks for some of the candles. After visiting Candle Cottage, I am now the proud owner of a large mangosteen scented candle. I originally purchased it as a gift but the smell is so pleasant I decided to keep it for myself. Though this is the first Yelp review for Candle Cottage, it seems to be very popular place. The store was filled with customers when I stopped by on a Sunday morning. Candle Cottage is the perfect place to pick up gifts in Crystal.
