Scrapbook stores have been struggling in the recent years and I want to support my local store. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to find on trend and affordable items at this shop for a number of reasons. First, the store is organized by theme, not by brand or by kind as in most stores we're all probably familiar with. This works out great if you plan to do a camping layout, a baby layout, or a holiday themed project. This is not so great for those of us who shop by category instead of theme. I usually have to walk around the aisles and browse really hard to weed through the theme items to look for what I want. (To be fair, Thickers & alphabet stickers are against one wall of the shop, and the albums and stamps are in one general area.) Second, the store has limited brand selection. They carry a lot of different items, but for some reason, they are usually not the on trend items that are current and popular. For example, I was looking for some things from October Afternoon, Studio Calico, Elle Studio, and Amy Tangerine and I was told that they either didn't carry it, or that the products they did carry were from old(er) releases. Bummer. Lastly, the items here cost a little bit more unless you have a coupon or they are running a special promotion. During my last visit, an item that I saw elsewhere was priced at $2.50 and it was $5.99 here. That's a more extreme example, but it made me wonder about the price difference. On the upside, the staff here is friendly and welcoming. They try to be helpful. Scrapbook Peddler has also relocated to a newer and much brighter location than their previous store. I am happy that there is a local scrapbook store in town, but due to aforementioned reasons, I may not visit as often. This is probably worth checking out if you're already in the area, but not something to go out of your way for.

The plant itself, which she picked based on my vague description of what I wanted, ended up more beautiful than I expected. Pricing was more than reasonable as well.

The farmers' market is outside and I suspect this place gets pretty busy on the weekends. The street parking is plentiful and I found the shop pretty easily. I was greeted by the owner (Kristin) as well as a few 'regulars,' knitters sitting at a table, crafting together. Kristin was unpacking a new shipment of my favorite yarn in new colors. Suffice to say, one of those skeins never even made it to the wall and came home with me. The selection is much larger than the shop size would suggest. The variety is impressive with known global brands and local products. Plenty of tools and supplies are avaible as well. The prices are competitve and I easily could have spent more time and money.

They make a graet pizza to settle down and watch a movie or entertain guests and that habd dipped hersheys ice cream is to die for. Thier prises are alot less than 7-11's. when I spoke with a person woirking there they said they would rather sell things for less and see you more often then charge a high price ans have you only visit 3 or 4 times a month. Their Liquor was the lowest price the state would allow you to sell it for. they did this to build a customer base, you could not go any where in the state and buy a fifth or 1/2 gallon cheaper. the state sets the prices and they were selling them at that cost, at least as of 04/25/10. I dont think they raised any prices. But they are freindly and have a good selling stratigy for getting and keeping customers. I wont go any where else! Thanks! Mike

However I only go here when gas is overpriced and it doesn't make sense to spend 10 bucks in gas to get to Coleman and back. Their product is mediocre and way overpriced. The trip to Coleman, Bay City, even Mt Pleasant is a much better bang for your buck. The definitely capitalize on being the closest dispensary to the city of Midland within Midland county. I live in Sanford and rarely go here. The 2 stars I'll give it re because of the 5/5 on the service
